The study aimed to identify the emotional intelligence of a sample of students of the Faculty of Education, Bakht Al-Ruda University – Sudan. and to find out any statistically significant differences between the means of the sample members due to these variables: gender, specialization and academic level. To achieve this objective, the researcher used the descriptive survey method on a sample which consisted of (115) students who were randomly selected. The researcher used the emotional intelligence questionnaire developed by Al-Alwan (2011). The final version consisted of (31) items. The study results revealed that the degree of emotional intelligence for students of the Faculty of Education University of Bakht Al-Ruda was high. There were also no significant differences in the mean of students' responses that can attributed to these variables: gender, specialization and study level. Keywords: emotional intelligence, Faculty of Education, University of Bakht Al-Ruda.

This study aimed at identifying the degree of practicing creative leadership by the principals of primary schools in the North West Badia District in Mafraq governorate. To achieve this objective, a questionnaire was developed consisting of (55) statements, covering four areas: (originality, flexibility, fluency and initiative), and was administered to a sample of (550) teachers. The results of the study showed that the total degree of practicing creative leadership by the principals of the primary schools in the North West Badia district in Mafraq governorate was significant, with a high degree of practice in two areas (initiative and flexibility), and with a medium degree of practice in two areas (originality and fluency). The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample towards the areas of the study tool combined and the tool as a whole according to the difference of gender variable in favor of females, as well as according to the different years of experience in each area (originality, flexibility, and fluency) in favor of all categories of years of experience. Keywords: degree of practice, primary schools, creative leadership.

The research aimed to identify the extent of practicing creative thinking skills among students of educational technology at the University of Ibb, Yemen in applying innovative educational technologies. To achieve the objectives of the study and answer its questions, the researchers used the descriptive method. The study population was educational technology students at the University of Ibb. The research sample involved (50) students of the second level in the Department of Educational Technology in the academic year 2018/ 2019. A scale of creative thinking and an open-ended questionnaire were used to assess creative thinking skills and identify the obstacles of creative thinking among students. The results showed a clear decline in the students' ability to practice creative thinking skills with a general average of (34.90) for group A students, and an average of (35.15) for group B students. The study revealed a number of obstacles of developing students' creative thinking. The study concluded with a set of recommendations and suggestions. Keywords: creative thinking skills, educational technology innovations, students of educational technology.

This study aimed to review and analyze research methods and characteristics of Arabic studies conducted in relation to teachers of gifted students from 2000 to 2017, which were published in the databases of the library of the Arabian Gulf University. It focused on major findings of these studies. To achieve this objective, an analytical method was applied to a sample of (42) published and unpublished studies, using a research instrument developed by the researchers. The results revealed that the objectives of most of the studies reviewed focused on the competencies of teachers of gifted students. The most common method used was the descriptive method, depending on quantitative data collected through questionnaires. In addition, most of the samples were randomly selected whose sizes ranged between 200-250 participants, covering male and female teachers. Keywords: teachers of gifted students, analytical studies, research and methodology characteristics.

The research aimed to identify to what extent critical thinking skills are available in chemistry textbooks and textbooks of activities and practical experiments of secondary schools in Yemen. To achieve this objective, a list of critical thinking skills, which consisted of (29) indicators, was developed. They were distributed to five main skills: (5) inference skills, (6) identifying assumptions skills, (6) evaluating discussion skills, (7) interpretation skills, and deduction skills. After checking the validating and reliability of the list, the content analysis of textbooks was conducted to ascertain whether the indicators were explicitly or implicitly unavailable. Major results revealed that critical thinking skills were available in secondary school chemistry textbooks of a medium degree of (%58.3), whereas they were available in the textbooks of activities with a lower degree of (%28). Keywords: critical thinking skills, chemistry textbooks, activities and practical experiment textbooks.

This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a brain-based learning strategy in teaching Islamic education to develop lateral thinking skills among middle school talented students and the attitude of applying it. The study followed a single semi-experimental (pre-post) test. The sample consisted of one experimental group, having (34) talented students. The strategy was developed on the basis of brain-based learning; and a teacher guide was prepared for teachers of Hadith Course in the second year of middle school. The lateral thinking skill test of 30 items was developed, covering drafting, production and generation skills. Also, the attitude scale, which included (18) items, was prepared. The study results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the mean scores of pre and posttest of lateral thinking, and the attitude scale in favor of the post test. The study recommended the use of brain-based learning teaching strategies with gifted students, as well as the training of teachers to use such strategies. Keywords: lateral thinking, brain-based learning, Islamic education, talented students.

The aim of the study was to identify the effectiveness of the spatial visual approach to teach the social and national education subject in the development of deductive thinking skills among the ninth grade students in Jordanian schools. In order to achieve the objective of the study, an experimental random sample consisting of (33) female students and a controlled sample consisting of (31) male students were chosen in the first semester of the school year (2017/2018). A multiple choice test consisting of (25) items was administered to the study sample. The means, standard deviations and multivariate analysis test were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the modified mean of the experimental group was in favor of the dimensions of the deductive thinking skills test; when calculating the( η2) square of the variance after the deductive reasoning of the of inductive and deductive thinking skills test between the two groups it was in favor of the teaching method used in the study. When calculating the modified mean of the experimental group on the deductive thinking skills test and in order to identify effect of the volume, ETA (η2) was calculated as the effect of the linguistic intelligence test, i.e. the difference in the inductive thinking skills test between the two groups was due to the teaching method by using the imaginary visual spatial introduction in favor of female students. The study recommended that it is necessary to focus on developing the inductive, deductive and inferential thinking skills in teaching social education issues. Keywords: the imaginary visual spatial approach, developing deductive thinking skills, social and national education subject, ninth grade students.

This study aimed to investigate the school climate and its relationship to the ability of creative thinking among high school students in Sana’a. The cluster sampling method was used to select a sample of 600 male and female students from high school students in Sana’a. Two research tools were used: a school climate scale to investigate the level of school climate and the verbal form (A) of Torrance Test to explore the level of ability of creative thinking. This study was conducted during the second semester of the academic year 2016/2017. The results showed that level of high school climate was medium, and the level of ability of creative thinking was low. Also, the results showed that there was a positive correlation between the level of school climate and the level of the ability of creative thinking. Moreover, there was a statistically significant difference in the school climate level based on gender and type of school in favor of female and private school students. Other results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the school climate level according to major, and creative thinking ability according to gender and major. The study recommended that teachers should prepare school climate by motivating students using sensory and cognitive motives and encourage them for more inquiry, discovery and thinking beyond the norms. Keywords: school climate, creative thinking ability, high school students.
