With the continuously strengthening of the forestry harvesting machine, the working conditions of the connecting rod mechanism became more complex. In operation, the connecting rod is subjected to both gas pressure and inertia loads, and therefore, it must be adequately strong and rigid and light in weight as well. In order to improve the sufficient fatigue strength, stiffness, well static and dynamic mechanical properties under a variety of alternating load condition, it became a key question that how to even more base design decisions on virtual prototypes and to optimize the whole mechanism development process. In the paper, firstly, we propose a physical model of connecting rod mechanism. Secondly finite element analysis and simulation of the model is taken. Then its flexible multi-body dynamic model is established by ADAMS/View. The method provides the theoretical evidence for connecting rod structure improvement and optimum design.

For power generation form wind induction generators are found to be the most appropriate choice. A statistical review was done to collect the data on various power quality issues like voltage variations, frequency variations, harmonics distortion, transients, flicker etc arising with the increased use of induction generators in the power system.

In order to solve the problem of sensors placement in gearbox faults detection, a method of measurement point optimization based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) is discribed. The fitness of PSO is set up based on analysis on the modal assurance criterion(MAC) for measurement point optimization. After setting up finite element model and proceeding modal analysis of gearbox, particle swarm optimization with dynamic accelerating constants (CPSO) is applied to optimize and dertermin the numbers and locations of sensors for gearbox. In optimal process the fitness function is taken as evaluation object. The method discribed in this paper is proved to be feasible by an example of gearbox fault diagnosis. The fault identified accuracy after measurement point optimization is improved.

This paper presents a new and novel method to control a 3-RRR (revolute-revolute-revolute) planar parallel manipulator using an active force control (AFC) strategy. A traditional proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller was first designed and developed to demonstrate the basic and stable response of the manipulator in performing trajectory tracking tasks. Later, the AFC section was incorporated into the control scheme in cascade form by adding it in series with the PID controller (PID+AFC), its primary aim of which is to improve the overall system dynamic performance particularly when the manipulator is subjected to different loading conditions. Results clearly illustrate the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed AFC-based scheme in rejecting the disturbances compared to the traditional PID controller.

Improvement in braking performance and vehicle stability can be achieved through the use of braking systems whose brake force distribution is variable. Electronic braking force distribution has an important and serious role in the vehicle stopping distance and stability. In this paper a new approach will be presented to achieve the braking force distribution strategy for articulated vehicles. For this purpose, the mathematical optimization process has been implemented. This strategy, defined as an innovative braking force distribution strategy, is based on the wheel slips. The simulation results illustrate proposed strategy can significantly improve the vehicle stability in curved braking for different levels of vehicle deceleration

LED is the impressive light source in the 21st century, and the naissance of white LED is a major milestone in the lighting history of mankind, and stand for a brand-new light source. LED can not only improve the quality and efficiency of light, but also save energy and reduce environmental pollution. Developing LED industry has great significance for the national economy and the people's livelihood. In this paper, the mechanism of LED lighting is introduced. And then, main methods for fabricating white LED and recent progresses in white LED are studied. Finally, a novel single-chip white light-emitting InGaN/GaN diode is design. The single-chip white LED emits white light as the driving current is from 5mA to 60mA. The output power of the white LED is 24.4mcd at the driving current of 60mA.

This paper presents a comparison between different two equation turbulence models, in order to find appropriate turbulence model for studying the effect of cold outlet diameter on cooling performance of vortex tube. The standard k-ε, RNG k-ε, Realizable k-ε and standard k-ω model, have been used in this study. Comparison between numerical and experimental results indicates that standard k-ε model predicts energy separation phenomenon better than others. Distribution of static temperature, total temperature, static pressure, components of velocity and angular velocity have been obtained in order to understand the flow behavior inside the tube. Moreover, standard k-ε model has been used for studying the effect of cold outlet diameter on cooling performance of vortex tube.

The object of this study was to understand precisely the acoustic vibration characteristics of the paulownia for musical instrument. Two paulownia chosen were Paulownia australis and Paulownia elongata, and compared with the picea (Far East Picea koraiensis and Picea jezoensis). The acoustic vibration parameters of four trees were respectively measured and comparative analyzed based on the vibration method of FFT by tapping, and then the acoustic vibration characteristics of paulownia were comprehensive evaluated. The results demonstrated that the density had nearly no effect on the loss angle tangents of the paulownia and the picea, and the loss angle tangents of four trees were similar. At the same time, the values of the specific Young's modulus and acoustic impedance of the paulownia were smaller than that of the picea, but the paulownia's acoustic radiation constants and the loudness were larger and higher than the picea's. It indicated that, according to all acoustic vibration parameters evaluated, the paulownia had the same good acoustic vibration characteristics with the picea, and the paulownia was suitable for wood for musical instrument.

Software Reusability is primary attribute of software quality. In the literature, there are metrics for identifying the quality of reusable components but there is very less work on the framework that makes use of these metrics to find reusability of software components. The quality of the software if identified in the design phase or even in the coding phase can help us to reduce the rework by improving quality of reuse of the component and hence improve the productivity due to probabilistic increase in the reuse level. In this paper, different models or measures that are discussed in literature for software reusability prediction or evaluation of software components are summarized.
