Acoustic event detection-based individualized things-human interaction using Matlab-microcontroller interoperation 基于声学事件检测的个性化事物-人机交互matlab -单片机互操作

Most IoT-related approaches have tried to establish the relation by connecting the network between things. The proposed research will present how the pervasive interaction of eco-system formed by touching the objects between humans and things can be recognized on purpose. By collecting and sharing the detected patterns among all kinds of things, we can construct the environment which enables individualized interactions of different objects. This study aims to implement the prototype of sensor processor integrated with system using Arduino-Matlab/Simulink hybrid-interoperation environment. In the experiment, the piezo transducer is used to detect the vibration by vibrating the surface using acoustic wave, which has an individualized signal shape in terms of time axis. The signal distortion in time and frequency domain is recorded into memory tracer within sensor processor to extract the meaningful pattern. Our initial prototype of the acoustic touch processor is implemented by using off-the-shelf MCU and the integrated framework based on Matlab/Simulink model demonstrates a possibility to enable the individualization of the touch-sensing for the user on purpose.

As a result of the previous design of a user interface of a smartphone for the visually impaired (VI) user, in this paper, we propose an improved design of the VI user interface which is based on the operation frequency of when a specific user uses a particular smartphone. As a result of the accumulation of the operation frequency of the smartphone function, this design will move this function with the highest frequency of operation to the first position. As a result, the next time a user uses this function with a less time.

A study on motion estimation algorithm for moving pictures 运动图像的运动估计算法研究

In this paper, the operation cycle for Motion Vector Search is evaluated between the proposed search method and the conventional Full Search algorithm. As a result, the operation cycle of the proposed method is 74% smaller than Full Search algorithm but the circuit size is 0.8% larger than that of Full Search algorithm and the vector matching accuracy of the proposed search method deteriorate to 66.8%, when compared with Full Search algorithm.

Lossless measurement and evaluation for predicting the rating of perceived physical fatigue 预测感知体力疲劳等级的无损测量和评价

There is a muscle force failure caused by physical fatigue. Since the change in myoelectrical activity occurs in advance of the failure, surface EMG (SEMG) is valuable. However, the accuracy of SEMG manifestation is not always guaranteed spatiotemporally. We first introduced a 2D surface electrode to search the location of electrode on the skin where SEMG manifestations are fully detected with high accuracy. Furthermore, enough precision is important to interpret the physiological activities. Then we determine the motion related target muscles, adopting the idea of muscle synergy. That is, based on the fact that functional activities are stemmed from a hierarchical multi-timescale system, we model a rating of perceived physical fatigue (RPF) integrating the psychological manifestation (long-term event) by physiological one (short-term event). This will lead to lossless measurement and evaluation for a faster prediction of the physical fatigue induced failure. The ultimate goal is a ubiquitous strategy for risk avoidance by establishing the RPF for safely controlling the electrical power assist.

In recent years, large-scale warehouse has become remarkable. In the work of the warehouse, it is considered that travel time in the order picking occupy the large part of the total work time. Methods of changing product placement has been widely studied. But there is no method of changing product placement after the start of order picking. In this study, we propose the dynamic product placement method. We examine that experimental results is effective.

In this paper, we present a natural interface between a drone, i.e., a miniature aerial vehicle (MAV), and a human, in which a stereo-vision-MAV is flied via a HMD (Head Mounted Display) with inertial sensors. A stereo camera is mounted on a MAV and the stereo images are transmitted to a remote PC. Then, a user controls the motion of the MAV by his/her head pose, which is measured from the inertial sensor of the HMD, while looking at the stereo images via the HMD as if the MAV is an avatar of the user. Thanks to a stereo-vision camera, it makes it possible that not only a user can sense the distance information between the MAV and obstacles from the HMD, but also a MAV can avoid collisions using the measured 3D information even if human error occurs during the operation.

Efficient implementation of breadth first search for general video game playing 有效地实现了一般视频游戏的广度优先搜索

This paper proposes an efficient implementation of Breadth First Search (BFS) for General Video Game Playing (GVGP). This method is specialized for deterministic games, which often cannot be solved by a single action and require a more extensive search to solve. Most existing AI programs cannot search the game space efficiently, and thus perform poorly in deterministic games. To improve the efficiency of tree search, we propose limiting the branching of game tree in BFS. Hash code is assigned to each tree node and used to identify similar game states. A tree node with a game state that has been visited in previous search will not be expanded. Using a deterministic game set for evaluation, our experiment shows that the proposed method outperforms existing methods.

A voice transmission system based on visible light communication 一种基于可见光通信的语音传输系统

In this paper, we present an analog voice transmission system based on Visible Light Communication (VLC). At the transmitter of the system, by the Voltage-Frequency (V-F) conversion circuit, the analog voice signal is transformed into the frequency signal, which is linear with the amplitude of the signals. At the receiver, the voice signal can be demodulated by the Frequency-Voltage (F-V) conversion circuit. Finally the test of the voice transmission system based on visible light communication is carried out, which shows that the input and output waveforms are consistent, the transmitted voice can be received without distortion. The test result shows that the design is correct and feasible.

This study shows a system for radiation dosage aggregation by wireless communication. Environmental differences can have influence on the dosage in facilities like schools and factories. Especially in mountain forests, it could be more a significant difference, because fallen leaves would be piled in some areas easily but not in other areas. Therefore, it would be helpful if it were possible to measure the radiation dosage on several spots. It is troublesome to bring the equipment for measuring the radiation dosage to several spots observation, however. Because this system uses a module of 920[MHz] band between the server and the client, it is large enough to cover facilities such as elementary and junior high schools. In addition, its charging system by solar panels enables the operation for a long time. Moreover, the size of the server is small enough to carry and GPS information can be gotten so that the location of the client can be memorized to the server in installing the client.

A high accuracy sensor module for hydroponic culture system was developed. The module measures water level, temperature, and nutrient concentration values by using a single device equipped with a low-cost ribbon cable and electrodes. The module has two oscillators and the water level and the concentration value are converted into frequencies of the oscillator signals. After the conversion mechanism and adjustment scheme are explained, the high accuracy of the sensor module is demonstrated.
