Aim: To evaluate the therapeutic effectiveness of low-intensity laser irradiation in the treatment of patients with oral mucosal diseases in association with rheumatoid arthritis, according to parameters of Doppler ultrasonography of blood flow of lingual arteries. Materials and Methods: An examination of 25 patients with geographic tongue and concomitant rheumatoid arthritis and 12 practically healthy persons of the control group was carried out. In the main group (13 patients) the complex treatment of glossitis was carried out with non-contact laser irradiation of the affected tongue areas. Patients in the comparison group (12 persons) underwent standard treatment. Treatment effectiveness of patients in both groups was determined by the parameters of Doppler blood flow study of lingual arteries. Results: In the main group of patients, after diode laser therapy, a significant decrease in linear blood flow parameters (Vmax by 19.7%, TAMAX by 19.6%), an identical increase in volume velocity (Q by 21%) and an improvement in vascular tone and peripheral resistance (Pourcelot index by 12.5%, Gosling index by 13.1%) were observed. At the same time, a slight increase in the linear and volume velocity characteristics of blood circulation in lingual arteries during treatment of patients in the comparison group was not statistically significant (p>0.05) and with a high degree of probability differed from the control group. Conclusions: The use of low-intensity laser irradiation in the management of patients with oral mucosal diseases associated with rheumatoid arthritis contributes to the normalization of hemodynamics and the functional state in the vascular bed of the tongue.

Aim: To assess the efficacy of physical therapy in patients with lumbosacral discopathy. Materials and Methods: The study included 31 individuals aged 24 to 67 years. A two-part survey questionnaire created by the authors was used as a research tool. The first part of the questionnaire was completed by the patient before the start of treatment and collected personal data as well as answers to questions concerning pain, physical activity and use of analgesic medication. Pain assessment was conducted using a visual analogue scale and the influence of pain on individual aspects of life was analysed using a specially modified Oswestry Disability Index. The second part was completed after treatment. The duration of physical therapy and rehabilitation was 15 days. Patients underwent electrotherapy procedures (interferential current therapy), local laser therapy, ultrasound therapy and kinesiotherapy. Results: The study confirmed beneficial effects of the physical therapy and rehabilitation used in the patients on their quality of life. Pain elimination or reduction was reported, resulting in lower analgesic use. An analysis of the Oswestry Disability Index results obtained before and after treatment revealed an improvement with respect to physical function and quality of life. The objective condition of study patients also improved. Their ability with respect to walking, standing, sleeping, sitting, travelling, personal care and lifting was considerably increased. Conclusions: Low back pain syndromes constitute a clinical and social problem. Treatment of this disorder is based on physical therapy and rehabilitation.

Aim: To determine the effectiveness of restoration of motor functions and peculiarities of psychomotor development in preschool children with autism spectrum disorders in the conditions of a rehabilitation establishment. Materials and Methods: The interest of specialists in the problem of teaching children with autism is due to a significant increase in the number of this category of children in recent years and insufficiently effective solutions to urgent issues of recovery, rehabilitation, corrective and developmental influence on the motor and psychomotor sphere of autistic children. Children of the middle group aged 5-6 took part in the study. The diagnosis of all children participating in the study is a mild or moderate degree of autism with combined developmental disorders. Rehabilitation classes were held in both groups at physical education classes, but in the main group, they were held at every class. Such classes took place during the walk and were recommended to parents for classes at home. During physical education classes in the control group, the corrective component was partially used. Results: The state of psychomotor skills was determined by four tests assessing sensorimotor coordination, static and dynamic coordination, reciprocity of movements, and spatial orientation. It was noted that 85% of examined children with autism have impaired reciprocal coordination of movements and disorder of spatial organization of actions; 90% of children have impaired sensorimotor coordination of movements. In 100% of children, disorders of static and dynamic coordination of movements were found. Conclusions: This study made it possible to identify a low level of psychomotor development in children with autism, which indicates the need and importance of further development of motor development problems and indicates some approaches to the organization of motor control examination of children with autism.

Materials and Methods: As a part of the research the complex assessment of somatic health status of people who suffered from COVID-19 was made using tests (Ruffier-Dickson Index, Stange and Gencha tests, Harvard step test, absolute and relative PWC 170). Results: The health and fitness program «Fitness Energy» is developed, implemented and experimentally verified as a complex of selective breathing and aerobic exercises which are done in a particular order and allow acting deliberately on human body of people who suffered from COVID-19 to secure the maximum health-improvement effect. Conclusions: Experimental research confirmed the effectiveness of health and fitness program «Fitness Energy», in particular the overall result upon indications of functional status of people in experimental group (25,78 %) 17,5 % higher than in control one (8,22 %). This indicates the effectiveness of rehabilitation patients, in particular, improves the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, strengthens the muscles involved in respiration, increases the overall tone and efficiency of the body.","PeriodicalId":42213,"journal":{"name":"Acta Balneologica","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69735358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
