The topic of decision making algorithm in semi-autonomous driving is discussed in this paper. Semi-autonomous vehicle is capable of many aspects of autonomous driving. But, there are situations that semi-autonomous driving algorithm is not capable to handle. In such situations vehicle control is given to driver. This kind of an algorithm, enables autonomous driving up to a point where the algorithm itself, is not sure of the next step. In order to handle these situations an application was created that supports autonomous driving under restricted conditions and control switch. The application itself is embedded in the real time operating system running on ADAS development board.

This work addresses the problem of target localization in harsh indoor environments. Based on a robust approach, a novel estimator whose solution can be obtained exactly by just a bisection procedure is developed. In sharp contrast to existing solutions, computational complexity of the proposed one is linear in the number of reference points. Moreover, our simulations show that the performance of our approach not only matches the performance of the state-of-the-art, but surpasses it in general.

In this paper an analysis of different User Grouping algorithms with Zero-Forcing Beamforming technique for IoT oriented massive MIMO systems is presented. The capacity-based algorithms with both non-overlapping and overlapping user grouping are observed. The algorithm working principles are outlined and the complexity of each of the algorithm is evaluated. Additionally, a comparative performance analysis is performed. The results show that a better performance of the massive MIMO system is achieved with the algorithms based on overlapping user grouping approach compared to the algorithms based on non-overlapping user grouping approach.

The incorrect interpretation of the noise expressions of modified front end optical receivers is becoming more common and persistent. This paper presents improved analytical expressions for the calculation of: — 3dB cut-off bandwidth, transimpedance, noise equivalent bandwidths and equivalent input noise current densities of simple tuned optical baseband receiver front end built with BJTs and p-i-n diode. Coloured noise in the typical TIA receiver design caused by amplifier noise being referred through input transistor and RC network formed by photodiode and input amplifier. In the case of tuned front end, this arrangement is altered. Hence, classic noise expressions become invalid, which typically leads to overly optimistic noise numbers. Two mathematical models have been used to predict receiver sensitivity and to calculate the total noise for non-tuned and tuned front end optical receivers. The numerical results show receiver sensitivity improvement of 1dB to 2.2dB. However, the significance of the work presented here is in development and validation of referring noise in tuned front end baseband optical receiver as well as optimising the transfer function of the tuned feedback transimpedance.

In this paper, an analysis of undesired effects in multi-antenna MIMO transmitters such as PA nonlinearity, IQ imbalance and nonlinear crosstalk is presented. An impact of these effects on signal quality is demonstrated through simulations. The obtained results are given in numerical and graphical forms using metrics in time and frequency domains.

With the increasing usage and impact of the services based on data from Internet of Things (IoT) networks, securing the sources as well as the transport of these data is crucial. In this paper, we present our survey of the security of the four widely used IoT protocols: Bluetooth Low Energy, LoRaWAN, ZigBee and Z-Wave. We discuss various vulnerabilities in the protocols and how the protocols evolved from the security point of view. The survey is a base for our future work on a secure gateway for IoT networks. In this project we are going to detect security incidents in IoT networks at the gateway connecting the IoT devices with the application servers.

The aim of this paper is to detect and mitigate two problems commonly observed in ZigBee networks. The first problem of oscillating link arises when device frequently changes parent devices used for routing packets, which consequently leads to additional time and resource waste. Second problem comes when a parent device has a dense cluster associated to it, in which case it becomes a bottleneck and can lead to traffic congestion and increased race for the radio resources. We provide 2 simple methods for topology control by modifying the transmission power of targeted devices. We demonstrate efficiency of proposed solution in detecting and mitigating issues on simple test topologies.

In the last ten years mass transition from analog to digital television led to great advancements in the development of set-top box devices and smart TVs. Parallel to this advancement the influence of Android grew and it very quickly became one of the most commonly used systems on these devices. Since the appearance of first set-top box devices their core functionalities were reproduction and recording of TV content. Android supports reproduction and recording of MPEG-4, WebM and 3GP formats and only reproduction of MPEG-TS format, which is the most abundant format in the area of digital television — it is used for terrestrial, cable and satellite transmission. The goal of this paper is the extension of the system for recording multimedial content inside of Android, so that recording of MPEG-TS would be supported as well.

The intense push toward the Internet of Everything (IoE) paradigm, and the desire to raise the level of efficiency of socio-technical systems engineering, entails reconsidering a traditional SCADA system. Any sort of intelligence in system behavior should start with high quality data, and this is where SCADA plays the central role. Data is necessarily coupled with facilities to process and store them, and SCADA's capabilities must be in par with such elevated expectations pertaining to overall system behavior. The goal of this paper is to propose a modern and novel data handling approach in a SCADA system. The aim is to boost data storage and retrieval performance to seek out extra opportunities for finding patterns and clues in data. The overarching goal is to build the next generation of SCADA based solutions, that would deliver the promises embraced by IoE. Our proposal revolves around the usage of distributed hash tables to disseminate data, and switch from a classical relational database model toward the one utilized by many NoSQL databases. The paper contains both the description of an architecture as well as implementation considerations related to a new SCADA system. The paper concludes with a summary of further research directions that needs to be addressed for a production ready variant.

The paper describes an approach to development a neural network model for identification virtual network functions. Our solution are based on the analysis the statistical properties of flows circulating in the network of the virtual data center and characteristics that describe the content of packets transmitted through network objects. This enabled us to establish the optimal set of attributes to identify virtual network functions. We developed an algorithm for optimizing the placement of virtual data functions using the data obtained in our research. The approach applied in our investigation for placement of virtual network functions allows to optimizing traffic flows in virtual data center. The algorithmic solution is based on neural networks, which enables to scale it at any number of the network function copies.
