The paper deals with recent research study on impact relation of R&D expenses and product / process innovations bySMEson performance. SMEs contribute 42% of industrial production. Many SMEs are resorting to any subcontract work like buildto print. However, OEMs and R&D organisations involving SMEs have been encouraging SMEs to be partner in R&D and innovations for product innovation to develop process. While it is understood that R&D is engine for growth in this study.R&D expenses, product and process impact on performance of growth in sales and growth in profitability.

The current study analyzes the effect of granite cutting waste addition on the properties of cohesive soil. Representative samples of cohesive soils were collected from the Mansehra and Balakot areas of Hazara, Pakistan and their major geotechnical properties determined following the standard ASTM procedures. The determined properties include the Atterberg limits, i.e. Liquid Limit (LL), Plastic Limit (PL), Plasticity Index (PI), and Maximum dry density, Optimum moisture contents, Un-confined compressive strength, Activity and Expansion. Both the soils are classified as active soils possessing high expansion capacity and low strength due to the presence of Ca-montmorillonites. Following an increment of 5%, up to 25% streaks of cutting waste from Susalgali and Baffa granites were added to the Mansehra soil and Balakot soil respectively. A thorough analysis of the test results reveals a continuous decrease in the Atterberg limits, optimum moisture contents and expansion capacity, and increase in the maximum dry density and overall strength of both the soils with increasing amounts of the added granite cutting waste streaks. The reduction in Atterberg limits, optimum moisture contents and expansion capacity reflects the low activity and lower absorption capacity of the added granite. Besides, the concomitant increase in strength and maximum dry density of the treated soils suggests suitability of granite waste addition as a potential means for enhancing bearing capacity and reducing settlement issues in civil engineering.

In connection with the increase in construction and the level of urbanization that occurs in Indonesia, the construction of high-rise housing will be carried out to optimize narrow land in urban areas. By providing several facilities with the concept of high rise building in the basement area and building a layered basement, it is expected to optimize the available land for the development of high rise housing. This study determines the approach to rework analysis on a 5-layer basement with a Dynamic Model System simulation model that can provide superior estimates so as to produce scenarios to reduce rework costs. With this research update, it is estimated that the System Dynamic Model ensures that rework costs can be reduced on Basement 5 Layer work by 17.41 % of the initial rework cost

ABSTRACT The façade of the building plays an important role to complement the structure shape and determine the visual impact on urban environments. The façade of the building itself has a heavy work or high cost value in the sub-section of the architectural masterpiece. It becomes a gap that we can review how much it costs to work. Value engineering issues that often arise are considered a reduction in costs. In the end that often happens precisely emphasis on material substitution, reducing or eliminating certain elements that lead to lower quality. Implementation of correct value engineering if done such as using alternative materials/materials contained in the work plan and requirements, but still in the equivalent specifications. In this study will be discussed the cost analysis of the selection of glass facade material without compromising the main function of the material itself. By using the value engineering method, it can be seen that the cost efficiency that can be saved is 5.93% of the planned budget for the work.

Wireless Sensor Network WSN deployment is an active research area. Its goal is to deploy sensors in certain environment efficiently to optimize some evaluation measures. Meta heuristic searching optimization approaches have been proven to be effective in solving WSN deployment problem. They have strong power in exploring the solution space and converging toward theoptimal region. One key factor in achieving more exploring power in the meta-heuristic searching is the selection criteria of the elite solutions from one iteration to another. Two common selection criteria are roulette wheel and pairwise tournament. In this article, a hybrid based selection is applied under genetic algorithm for solving the problem of WSND. The hybrid based selection selects between roulette wheel and pairwise tournament in order to maintain good exploration and fast convergence toward the best solutions

ABSTRACT This paper is concerned with the modeling and the fitting of an original epidemic model for plants disease. This model has the shape of a bump function which reflects the effect of the temperature and the wetness duration. Moreover, we provide a procedure that involves bounds constraints to fit the introduced model. In addition, our modelling accuracy and efficiency are evaluated for some reported studies in the literature. The simulation results are provided for the validation and in order to show the effectiveness of the proposed epidemic models for diverse plant infections reported in the literature.
