Analysis of mixed-eccentric induction machine 混合偏心感应电机分析

This presents a model of a mixed-eccentric induction machine (IM) by considering space harmonics. Two forms of permeance function are presented and compared. The mixed-eccentricity fault is studied because it generalizes better the case encountered in any machine. IM inductances are calculated by using the modified winding function and including space harmonics of winding functions. It is also analytically detailed the genesis of the eccentricity signatures allowing the diagnosis. Coherence of simulated and experimental results in term of frequency content proves a validity of the study.

Diagnosis of stator winding inter-turn short circuit in three-phase induction motors by using artificial neural networks 应用人工神经网络诊断三相异步电动机定子绕组匝间短路

The application of induction motors in industry is widespread. Thus, several studies have presented strategies for the diagnosis and prediction of failures in these motors. One technique used is based on the recent utilization of intelligent systems for detecting faults in electric motors. Thus, this paper proposes an alternative tool to traditional techniques for fault detection of a short circuit between the inter-turns of the stator winding using artificial neural networks to analyze stator current signals in the time domain. Experimental results are presented to validate the proposed approach.

Induction motor broken rotor bar detection using vibration analysis — A case study 感应电动机转子断条检测用振动分析-一个案例研究

Early fault diagnosis and condition monitoring can reduce the consequential damage and breakdown maintenance, prolong the machine life and increase the performance of industrial systems. This paper describes a real fault detection problem of a high-power (3.2 MW) induction motor driving pumps in a heating plant. Steady-state vibration signals were collected and some characteristic low- and high- frequency features were observed, resulting in broken rotor bar diagnosis. The obtained results were verified by disassembling the motor, which proved that this particular technique can be successfully applied in induction motor fault detection.

Low-cost IC less self oscillating boost PFC converter 低成本集成电路自振荡升压PFC转换器

Discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) boost power factor correction (PFC) converters have the advantages of zero-current turn-on for the boost-switch and no reverse recovery stress on boost-diode. When the converter switching frequency is constant, it has better EMI performance as well. In the proposed study, a novel approach is introduced. By using the new technique, IC'less PFC solution with less number of components is achieved. The proposed design is in DCM with constant duty and fixed frequency. The boost mosfet is driven by a transistor RC phase shift oscillator (T-RC PSO). In addition to that, IEC 61000-3-2 regulation limits have been met and the presented converter have lower bill of material (BOM) cost which is from 0.5 to 1 USD cost-down for per product compared with the IC solution.

Saturation independent detection of dynamic eccentricity fault in salient-pole synchronous machines 凸极同步电机动态偏心故障的饱和无关检测

This paper proposes a novel scheme based on current signature analysis to estimate the severity of dynamic eccentricity fault independent of saturation in salient-pole synchronous machines (SPSM). The detection technique uses short circuit test data and exploits the presence of inherent static eccentricity in a machine. Implementation of the scheme involves two steps. First, the percentage increases in both mixed eccentricity component and static eccentricity component are computed. Then the difference between them is used as a factor to estimate the severity of dynamic eccentricity. The method is also found capable of distinguishing between static and dynamic eccentricity faults. Results obtained from an experimental 3 phase, 2.2 kW machine have been used to validate the proposed eccentricity severity estimation scheme.

A dedicated Application of artificial ants for the condition monitoring of induction motors 人工蚂蚁在感应电机状态监测中的专用应用

In the last decade, the field of diagnosis has attracted the attention of many researchers, especially for the detection of faults in induction motors. The condition monitoring of induction motors is generally based on the analysis of signals coming from one or several sensors. This analysis is performed by the motor current signature analysis (MCSA) which is considered as the most popular fault detection technique. This approach considers that a failed component generates a frequency in the motor current spectrum and measuring the amplitude of this frequency can help us to identify and quantify the fault severity. So, the frequency amplitude of the faulty component has to be known. This paper suggests the use of a heuristic technique inspired by the behavior of a colony of ants to track these frequencies. This technique is very easy to implement and converge quickly to a solution. The proposed technique is described and the experimental results illustrate this novel technique.

An accurate and fast technique for correcting spectral leakage in motor diagnosis 一种准确、快速的运动诊断频谱泄漏校正技术

This paper presents a technique for correcting the spectral leakage which occurs in windowed time series. The presented technique is aimed to be implemented on an autonomous embedded device based on reconfigurable hardware. This device is intended for being used in remote condition monitoring of motors. As a matter of example, the technique is used to analyse the common frequency components appearing in faulty motors suffering from inter-turn short circuits.

Optimal wavelets for broken rotor bars fault diagnosis 基于小波优化的转子断条故障诊断

This paper discusses the use of an optimal wavelets approach for broken rotor bars diagnosis. In this paper, discrete wavelet coefficients (DWT) of stator current in a specific frequency band are derived and analyzed. Wavelets db8, db9, db10, sym7 and sym8 are compared to select a most optimal one. This approach facilitates the detection and diagnosis of broken rotor bar occurrence or even number of broken bars under load variation. Simulation and experimental tests on inductions motors with 1, 2, and 3 broken bars are conducted, which demonstrate the effective fault detection of the proposed approach.

Evaluation of different broken bar fault diagnostic means in double-cage induction motors with FEM 双笼型异步电动机断条故障诊断方法的有限元评价

The aim of the present paper is to compare and evaluate different diagnostic means for the identification of the broken bar fault in delta connected double-cage induction motors. The work is carried out with FEM. The motors are studied at nominal load as well as under low load operation. The traditionally used diagnostic means such as: the current, torque and apparent power waveforms' spectrums are thoroughly studied with respect to prior work. Moreover, in this work the zero-sequence current spectrum is also investigated. The advantages and disadvantages of each diagnostic mean will be discussed and evaluated, offering an important insight of the broken bar fault diagnosis in the double-cage induction motor.

Diagnosis of induction machines under non-stationary conditions by means of the spectral filter 非平稳条件下感应电机的频谱滤波诊断

This paper introduces a new way to extract the fault components of a signal by means of a new proposed filter based on the Sampling Theorem and the properties of Discrete Fourier Transform. The proposed method is able to extract fault components either in steady-state or in transient conditions. This paper also proposes a new way to compute the energy of a signal in the frequency domain by means of the Plancherel's Theorem. Unlike the Discrete Wavelet Transform, which makes the filtering process in the time domain, the Discrete Fourier Transform allows the filtering process in the frequency domain. The use of the Discrete Fourier Transform makes the filtering process possible without applying any pretreatment to the current as it is done in the former works. As a consequence of the filtering process in the frequency domain and in order to reduce useless computations, in the current paper is also demonstrated the possibility of the computation of the energy of the extracted fault component in the frequency domain. The results are compared with the former and already published works in the area showing the good reliability of the new filtering process and energy computation in the frequency domain.
