Objective: This study was conducted with the aim of assessing the antineoplastic potential of recently developed compounds, namely F3, F4, and F5. These compounds were designed to target the carbonic anhydrase enzyme in solid tumors.
Methods: The synthesis of these compounds involved the utilization of sulfanilamide, chloroacetylchloride, thiourea, benzyl chloride derivatives, and silver nitrate. Docking studies were carried out using the MOE software program version 2015.10, and the cytotoxic activity was predicted through the implementation of the MTT assay.
Results: The compounds that were synthesized displayed noteworthy antineoplastic activity, as evidenced by both in silico simulations and cell line investigations. Notably, Compound F5 exhibited an IC50 value of 9.02 μg/ml for MCF7 cells, signifying a substantial difference when compared to the IC50 value of cisplatin. Moreover, Compounds F3 and F4 exhibited higher S scores in the docking study compared to acetazolamide, implying a more robust binding affinity to the catalytic site of the receptor. The inclusion of a substituted thiazole ring contributed to increased flexibility and enhanced receptor interaction.
Conclusion: The synthetic compounds put forth in this study demonstrated notable antineoplastic properties. Furthermore, the complexation process notably augmented the inhibition of cancer cell growth, underscoring their potential as promising agents for combating cancer.

This case study gives a thorough account of how a four-year-old boy who had been experiencing recurrent discomfort and perianal discharge for six months was diagnosed, treated, and then recovered. An MRI fistulogram revealed a transphincteric fistula with both the internal and exterior apertures placed at the 9 o'clock position, despite the absence of concomitant diseases and prior procedures. The treatment method used methylene blue infiltration to verify the internal aperture and then metal probe probing of the track. From the exterior to the internal opening, a partial fistulotomy was carried out, and the raw proximal track was treated with Kshara sutra. Surprisingly, the fistula was fully cured in just three months. This case study gives priceless information that could direct future treatments and serves as a testimonial to the efficiency of such a therapy method in controlling juvenile fistulas.

Methods: A descriptive correlational design was used in this study which includes a simple random sample of parents of children with autism who age 2-12-years referred to the Alsubtain Academy autism center during 2022 in Karbala provinance, Iraq.
Results: Most parents are stressed experience 52 % of total sample and most children have severe autistic traits. Furthermore, autistic traits severity positively predicted parental autism stress.
Conclusion: Parents of children with severe traits of ASD tend to have high level of parenting stress, Other variables such as age of child on diagnosis, child age, parental gender and family type have no significant effect on parenting stress.

Objectives: This study has determined that these newly synthesized analogs hold promise as potential sources of novel anticancer agents for combating breast cancer.
Methods: We initiated our research by obtaining the crystal structure of Histone deacetylases (HDACs-8) bound with Vorinostat (SAHA) from the Protein Data Bank (PDB code 4QA0). Subsequently, we conducted docking experiments, which revealed that compounds (V c,s, V d,s, V c,t, and V d,t) exhibited favorable docking scores when compared to the standard. These compounds, synthesized through multi-step procedures involving the reaction of intermediate derivatives (IV c,d) with thiosemicarbazide or semicarbazide, were subjected to confirmation of their chemical structures using FT-IR and 1H NMR analysis.
Results: The results of our in-vitro cytotoxicity assay (MTT assay) highlighted that compounds V c,t and V d,t exhibited notable inhibition ratios in the breast cancer cell line (MCF-7), while V c,t displayed similar efficacy in human colon adenocarcinoma (HRT-18) compared to the control drug, Vorinostat (SAHA).
Conclusion: Our docking analysis led us to conclude that the C=S moiety demonstrated exceptional binding affinity to the zinc binding group of the HDAC enzyme, establishing multiple interaction modes. This finding suggests the potential of these compounds as valuable candidates in the development of anticancer treatments.

Objectives: To determine the association between regular breakfast consumption and academic performance among 6th-grade elementary school male students in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
Methods: Our cross-sectional study used a questionnaire for public and private elementary school children in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Participants with known mental retardation, language barriers, and chronic diseases were excluded. The data analysis was performed using IBM SPSS V.26.
Results: In our study, 412 students were included. Most students (74.3%) obtained a high final degree between 80 - 100%. Most students (67.2%) believed having breakfast helps in obtaining high degrees. In addition, those who never had breakfast had a lower academic degree (p-value <0.001).
Conclusion: The results of our study emphasized the significance of having breakfast on a daily basis for academic success, as students who reported consuming breakfast regularly were found to be more likely to achieve high academic scores.

Objective: The primary objective of this investigation is to explore the correlation between gene expression of PIKCA3 and colorectal cancer in both tissue and blood samples, while also performing a comparative analysis between these sample types.
Methods: This research involved the collection of blood and tissue samples. The study was conducted at the Gastroenterology Hospital within the Medical City Department in Baghdad, Iraq, spanning from December 2021 to December 2022. A total of 80 volunteers, encompassing both genders and aged between 24 and 77, participated in the study. The Real Time qRT-PCR analysis method was employed to assess the expression of PIKCA3 genes within patient and control groups.
Results: The findings indicate significant distinctions in Ct PIK3CA between blood and tissue samples across all study groups. Moreover, PIK3CA expression displayed a notable association with CRC patients, showing higher expression levels compared to the other groups. This disparity was particularly pronounced when comparing tissue and blood samples. Statistical analysis, specifically Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) Curve Analysis, affirmed the excellent predictive capacity of the AUC (Area Under the Curve) value. The study established that PIK3CA gene expression in tissue outperformed that in blood, demonstrating a considerably elevated gene expression in tissue (p<0.001). Notably, the fold increase in gene expression within CRC patients was significantly higher compared to the group of healthy participants, with values of 23.630 in blood samples and 124.810 in tissue samples, respectively. The present study underscores the prevalence of PIK3CA gene mutations in colorectal carcinomas.
Conclusion: The frequent occurrence of PIK3CA gene mutations in colorectal carcinomas may hold promise for the development of targeted therapy combinations. These could involve inhibiting both the PI3K kinase itself and addressing associated pathway anomalies.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate associations between serum zonulin and GSF-15 levels in coronary arteries with NAFLD patients and to study their correlations with different parameters.
Methods: In this case-control study, 90 subjects were collected, consisting of 45 coronary artery disease with non-alcoholic fatty liver (Grade one) patients and 45 controls, Clinical demographic information, including family history of coronary disease, lifestyle factors including hypertension and diabetes, and certain blood parameters data (lipid profile, liver functions test).
Results: The patients' mean age was 55.64±8.462 years. Among all participants, 64(71.1%) were male and 26(28.9%) female. Zonulin, GDF-15, triglycerides, ALT, AST, ALP, and LDL levels were significantly higher in the patients (p≤0.001, p≤0.001, p=0.022, p≤0.001, p=0.035, p≤0.001, p≤0.001, respectively). In comparison to the controls, HDL and total cholesterol were considerably higher (p≤0.001 and p≤0.001).
Conclusion: Patients who suffer from non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and coronary arteries had higher levels of zonulin and GDF-15.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sexual and reproductive well-being of women.
Methods: Employing a descriptive design with a correlational approach, the study was conducted between November 2021 and July 2022. The sample consisted of (180) women within the reproductive age range of 17 to 49 years. This non-probability 'purposive sample' was chosen deliberately. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and correlational statistics.
Results: The investigation divulged significant findings. A considerable proportion of women (55.6%) reported being unable to access contraception during the pandemic. Moreover, (45%) experienced unintended pregnancies amid the pandemic. Additionally, concerns linked to the pandemic led to a lack of follow-up visits for (73.3%) of participants. The study also highlighted the distressing issue of domestic violence during COVID-19: Over half of the women (51.1%) reported exposure to domestic violence, attributing it to prolonged periods of their husbands staying at home. Furthermore, (51.7%) noted an escalation in domestic violence, and (38.3%) revealed that their husbands showed inadequate concern for their sexual well-being.
Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic detrimentally affected the sexual and reproductive health of women, manifested through challenges encountered during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum phases, and family planning. Furthermore, a significant proportion of women faced an increased risk of domestic violence due to the pandemic and the extended presence of their husbands at home.

 Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sexual and reproductive well-being of women.
 Methods: Employing a descriptive design with a correlational approach, the study was conducted between November 2021 and July 2022. The sample consisted of (180) women within the reproductive age range of 17 to 49 years. This non-probability 'purposive sample' was chosen deliberately. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and correlational statistics.
 Results: The investigation divulged significant findings. A considerable proportion of women (55.6%) reported being unable to access contraception during the pandemic. Objectives: The aim of the present study was to evaluate possible therapeutic effects of moxifloxacin against acetic acid-induced colitis in a rat model.
Methods: Forty adult Wistar rats were separated into 4 groups, including the negative control group, acetic acid (AA) group, AA + sulfasalazine (100 mg/kg/day) group, and AA+ moxifloxacin (MFX) (8 mg/kg/day) group. Experimental colitis was induced in rats by rectal administration of (4%v/v) acetic acid. Rats with colitis were received either MFX 8mg/kg/day or sulfasalazine 100mg/kg orally for 7days.The parameters measured are macroscopical assessment, colon weight (indicator of edema) and the measurement of concentrations of the proinflammatory cytokine TNF-α, oxidative stress marker malondialdehyde (MDA), adhesion molecule selectin and the inflammatory mediator NF-κB in colonic tissue homogenate.
Results: This study had shown that AA elevate macroscopical scores, colon weight and biochemical homogenate parameters and all measured parameters were significantly reduced by both moxifloxacin and sulfasalazine with nonsignificant difference between them.
Conclusions: The study explain that moxifloxacin possesses therapeutic potential in in AA induced colitis and its anti-inflammatory actions may involve inhibition of NF-κB inflammatory pathways including TNF-α pathway with its downstream inflammatory process such as elevation of adhesion molecule synthesis and oxidative species overproduction in the colonic tissues.

Objective: Study investigates erythropoietin's nephroprotective effect in adult male rats with renal ischemia and reperfusion injury, examining biochemical parameters and renal tissue alterations.
Methods: twenty-eight male rats of Sprague Dawley randomized into four groups: Sham, Iscemia/Reperfusion, NS, and Erythropoietin. Sham group treated kidneys identically without clamping pedicles. Ischemia/Reperfusion group underwent midline laparotomy, 30 minutes ischemia, 2 hours reperfusion, Rats received NS vehicle for Erythropoietin 30 minutes before ischemia, Erythropoietin dose administered 30 minutes before ischemia/reperfusion. Operation performed under maintained anesthesia using ketamine and xylazine injections.
Results: Renal ischemia /reperfusion increased serum Cr, BUN, IL-1β, NF-kB, Caspase-3, while SOD, GSH, Bcl-2 decreased in induced rats. Erythropoietin treatment reduced Cr and BUN levels, Reduced inflammation, and inflammatory markers. Renal tissue antioxidant markers increased; apoptotic markers decreased. Significant increase in Bcl-2 antiapoptotic marker. Erythropoietin-treated group had significantly better renal histological score compared to induced group.
Conclusion: Erythropoietin protects against Ischemia/Reperfusion-mediated renal injury, possessing antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-apoptotic properties.
