Analysis of CNN Digit Classifier Parameters CNN数字分类器参数分析

Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN’s) are widely being used for various image processing applications such as denoising, classification, de-hazing and super-resolution. In this paper, CNN image classifier to classify the digits is designed with the convolutional units, batch normalization units and the rectified linear units. The classification accuracy variation by changing different CNN parameters such as learning rate, convolutional filters, convolutional layers and training images is being analyzed. The accuracy saturates or degrades with the increment in number of convolutional layers. Selection of number of filters and learning rate are important hyper parameters impacting classifier accuracy.

Rural Area is rapidly developing with increasing in population, businesses, and small industries. The energy demand is increasing day by day and rural area is compelling the utilities to expand their supply network through electricity board. Higher level of demand for power must be met at short notice period. Mobile Distribution Station is one solution for such cases. This save costly construction work if required the station can be move to the location with container to the location with together with switchgear equipment, transformer, and control panel cabin mobile.This paper introduces the mobile distribution station focusing on research background of designing parameters such as technical specification parameters, Grounding and MATLAB modelling for 11KV/440Volt distribution mobile station for uninterrupted supply.

Gender and Age Estimation using Transfer Learning with Multi-tasking Approach 基于多任务迁移学习方法的性别和年龄估计

The estimation of Age and Gender of a Human being using facial characteristic is getting lot of attractions these days due to wide variety of its applications in the real-world scenarios. Significant work has been carried out in this regard and various methods and approaches has been published which have offered very good results as far as accuracy are concerned. This paper brings out a comparison of most famous pretrained models for estimating both gender and age of a person in videos using multi-tasking approach enabling a single model to estimate both age as well as gender. The estimation accuracy of EfficientNetV2B1 model using multi-tasking approach provides good accuracy (of 90.31) and MAE (of 0.063) compared to other models. The publicly available dataset UTKFACE has been used for training the multi-tasking CNN.

Sensitivity Support in Data Privacy Algorithms 数据隐私算法中的敏感性支持

Personal data privacy is a great concern by governments across the world as citizens generate huge amount of data continuously and industries using this for betterment of user centric services. There must be a reasonable balance between data privacy and utility of data. Differential privacy is a promise by data collector to the customer’s personal privacy. Centralised Differential Privacy (CDP) is performing output perturbation of user’s data by applying required privacy budget. This promises the inclusion or exclusion of individual’s data in data set not going to create significant change for a statistical query output and it offers -Differential privacy guarantee. CDP is holding a strong belief on trusted data collector and applying global sensitivity of the data. Local Differential Privacy (LDP) helps user to locally perturb his data and there by guaranteeing privacy even with untrusted data collector. Many differential privacy algorithms handles parameters like privacy budget, sensitivity and data utility in different ways and mostly trying to keep trade-off between privacy and utility of data. This paper evaluates differential privacy algorithms in regard to the privacy support it offers according to the sensitivity of the data. Generalized application of privacy budget is found ineffective in comparison to the sensitivity based usage of privacy budget.

Assessment of Viability of Battery Storage with Residential Solar PV System using System Advisor Model 基于系统顾问模型的住宅太阳能光伏系统电池储能可行性评估

Growing interest in renewable energy sources has proliferated the installation of residential solar PV systems all over India, with support from the government in the form of subsidies. The Indian government plans to achieve 450GW of solar energy by 2030. This requires implementing battery energy storage systems (BESS) for grid and load management. This research focuses on the financial and technical viability of implementing hybrid solar PV systems on the residential level by implementing a proper model on SAM (System Advisor Model) software and analyzing parameters to check the system's feasibility. Various simulations are run to check the cases of models and do a systematic analysis. Proper input parameters have been taken to make it as close to actual life systems as possible. The results are then analyzed, and proper objective conclusions are made for the solar PV systems with BESS/ hybrid PV systems. The work done in this paper can be perused for raising awareness and incentivizing the public to invest in BESS and solar PV systems.

Blood Glucose Sensor Design For Biomedical Application 生物医学应用的血糖传感器设计

A noninvasive blood glucose sensor has been presented in this study. The sensor is a rectangular-shaped Dielectric Resonator Antenna fed by a 50Ω microstrip feed line. The Rectangular DRA has a groove where a person’s thumb can be placed. As the concentration of glucose in blood changes, a variation in the dielectric properties of blood will follow. When a human thumb is placed on the antenna, due to the variation in dielectric properties of the blood, a deviation in the electromagnetic transmission of the antenna takes place causing a shift in the resonant frequency of the microwave sensor. The sensor has been designed and simulated using CST Microwave Studio and has a resonant frequency of 7.19GHz. Moreover, a thumb-like structure has been proposed to study the change in frequency for different glucose concentrations. The blood layer is created using the Cole-Cole model.

Design of Low Power & High Speed Approximate Compressor Based Multiplier 基于近似压缩机的低功率高速乘法器设计

The most common arithmetic operation performed in digital electronics is the multiplication operation. Ranging from calculating products to processing of various media, multiplication is used in every process performed by digital circuits. The executable module found in the data path which performs the multiplication operation is the multiplier. Over the years, the improvement of multiplier’s efficiency has been a matter of discussion in digital electronics. The need for improving and optimising the area, power, delay characteristics of multipliers has been ever increasing due to electronics moving into a miniaturisation age. Various designs of multipliers have been proposed over the years in the attempts of achieving this need by improving every component such as the compressor that makes up the multiplier itself. It has also been found that many of the applications can allow errors but still give out usable results. This was known as the approximate computing paradigm. This paper contains designs of a set of approximate 4-2 compressors which will be then used to design multipliers. The multiplier designs proposed consist of approximate compressors alone and a combination of approximate and exact compressors. The various multipliers proposed have been compared with one another and other existing multipliers proposed by various authors. The paper further extends to image processing using the proposed multipliers in order to verify and analyse their performances using PSNR and SSIM values.

Comparison of Conventional and Intelligent MPPT Implementation using Boost Converter 利用升压变换器实现传统与智能MPPT的比较

Solar power is mostly used renewable energy source because of various advantages like easy and reliable implementation as compare to other renewable techniques. The efficiency of the solar PV generation is key challenge for researchers. To extract maximum power from a solar PV panel, it should be operate at an appropriate voltage and current, for different values of temperature and irradiance. To get that correct operating point different traditional and AI based techniques are proposed. The present work presents comparative analysis of conventional Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) implementation like ‘Perturb and Observe’ with Intelligent MPPT (IMPPT) implementation with Artificial Neural Network (ANN).

Flourish: Requirements and Design of an Android Application Prototype for Various Symptoms Management in ADHD Patients

With the advancement of technology, we continue to discover new ways of providing technological solutions in a variety of fields. Healthcare is one of those fields that can benefit from technology. With the assistance of technology, the healthcare field can perform new discoveries, collect more data on symptoms of diseases, and provide greater support and care to their patients.[1][2] ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopment disorder that is typically identified during childhood and lasts into adulthood. Lack of focus, inability to sit still for long periods of time, forgetfulness, impulsivity, time management difficulties and disorganization, and emotional dysregulations are some of the early indications of this illness. Currently, pharmaceutical and nonpharmacological therapies are used to treat ADHD patients [3]. However, in addition to medical diagnosis and treatment, it is one of the diseases in which patients can benefit from technological solutions such as time management, task management, mindfulness, etc. In this paper, we propose the requirements and design of a mobile application called "Flourish," which is aimed at individuals with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) to help them better manage their symptoms and understand how they behave. This application will be divided into sections to assist users in dealing with the various symptoms experienced by ADHD patients. It includes time management and organization, mindfulness and relaxation, a platform for communicating with other ADHD patients and specialists, habit tracking, and behavioral patterns. In the future, we intend to develop a fully working real-time Android application that will be available to assist patients in managing their symptoms.

This paper presents the hybrid design of 8 bit ADC incorporating binary search ADC for area saving and flash ADC for higher speed operation. This ADC architecture is divided into two stages: the first stage is designed using binary search topology while the second stage is designed using flash architecture. The binary search stage is set to generate only 6 bits and flash stage is set to generate remaining 2 bits. With this hybrid configuration, the ADC consumes 12.8mW of power and sampling rate of 533 MSPS when operated at 1.8V.
