The paper is an analysis of 7,056 papers published by Indian scientists during 2001-2020 in the discipline of veterinary sciences. The study indicates that there is a steep decline in the Indian research output in veterinary sciences after the two years block of 2009-2010. Most of the prolific institutions except Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati were funded by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) published about 71% of the total output. Of these, Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar produced the highest number of papers and Central Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture (CIFA), Bhubaneswar had the highest value of CPP. Highest number of prolific authors was also from Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI). About three-fourth of the papers were published in low impact factor journals. Of the total published papers, about one-third remained uncited. All the highly cited papers were written either in domestic or international collaboration. About 45% papers were published in journals of Indian origin and the remaining papers in journals originating from other countries. Among countries from abroad, highest number of papers was published in journals originating from USA and UK.

The year 2020 has been marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on health, the economy and society. This article presents the findings of a bibliometric study of COVID-19 literature in the economy domain to identify current areas of research and propose a way forward. The database selected for the analysis is Scopus. After a search with a 2-step filtering, a total of 458 works were obtained, which are used as a sample. The analysis is approached with a double methodology: a bibliometric analysis and a deductive content analysis. It is concluded that the terms economic crisis, tourism, stock, markets, governments, oil or economic recession have been the most repeated in this area of study during 2020. The United States is at the forefront of research on the subject, with 17.5% of total research, followed by the United Kingdom with 12%.

Bibliometricians emphasize on international collaboration to enhance the citation impact of research publications. However, Mathew Effect for Countries brings out that the citation impact is not uniformly distributed to all country affiliations. The present study explores whether international collaboration helps in neutralizing the origin of country bias. The study explores this with productivity, author affiliation and citation data from Scopus for the immunology papers for the year 2018. The data considered pertain to India and four comparator countries which are high on international collaboration, namely Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. The results point to playout of Mathew Effect and possible confirmation of social constructivist argument of citation practices.

Publisher interest in citation to journal articles is an important variable that affect scholarly communication. The focus of citation studies is often on individual journal titles and Journal Impact Factors. The present study analyses the citation related data in the context of publishers represented in Scopus for the years 2016-2018. The results indicate a significant skewness in citations per document for 25 major publishers. Science academies and society publications, along with those publishers with fewer journals represented in Scopus, seem to be on the losing end in harnessing citation impact. Analysis points to the possible influence of publisher branding in the context of citation impact.

Mucormycosis, a rare infection, caught the attention during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 patients were infected by the black fungus. This study presents a scientometric review of 6661 research articles related to mucormycosis published from 1947 to 2021 indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. The study analyses the publications quantitatively in terms of growth, collaboration, countries, institutions, journals, keywords, and impact (citation) using the Bib-Excel and visualized in the VOSviewer tool. The highest number of publications on mucormycosis research is from the USA, followed by India, China, Germany, France, and Japan. Most of the research collaborations are among institutions in Europe and the USA. The University of Texas-USA is the most productive institute followed by PGIMER-India. However, the papers from Indian institutes have a significantly lower citation impact than those from the other leading countries. Since most international research is restricted among a few institutes, the international collaboration in mucormycosis research needs to be enhanced for high-quality research. The analysis of author-assigned keywords showed that the studies on the drug isavuconazole to treat mucormycosis are lesser than other major drugs. The research on surgical management of mucormycosis can be improved. Research on the diagnosis methods for mucormycosis and the genetic studies on the causative fungi of the order Mucorales are to be promoted. There are a few studies on Rhizomucor, Lichtheimia, Cunninghamella, Saksenaea, and Apophysomyces, among the several fungi genera that cause mucormycosis. Since mucormycosis is becoming more prevalent and severely affecting a larger population as a post-COVID syndrome, research in this area should be strengthened and new drugs should be explored.

The present article is an endeavour to understand the one hundred and ten years of influence of the Principle of Literary warrant as introduced by E. Wyndham Hulme on the revision of Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) through different editions in the field of library classification theory and practice. During this study, a comparison with other warrants/consensus has been undertaken whenever and wherever deemed necessary. The literary exploration was based on all the editions of DDC which are available on Internet Archive platform. The paper divides different editions of DDC into two distinct groups: one in which only veiled references to literary warrant were found corroborating Dewey‟s thinking about applicability of different consensus angle and the other where declared references to the concept by Editorial Policy Committee were encountered. The article concludes that the principle has extended its influence on the web environment of DDC as well.

Human capital is one of the most valuable resources of libraries. The age of librarians is a variable that may affect their attitudes and behaviours. The purpose of the paper is to pinpoint such correlations. The paper presents the results of research conducted among librarians in 20 countries of the world analysing the impact of age on individual social capital, social activity, social attitudes, civic engagement, level of trust, attitude to patrons and professional preferences. The research was conducted based on the Questionnaire for the Measurement of Individual Social Capital (KPIKS) developed by the Polish psychologist Rafa ł Sty ł a. The study confirms that there is a correlation between age and attitude and behavioural changes. The age of librarians statistically and significantly differentiates their behaviour and social attitudes. The results may be used in library management processes, e.g. in the area of task and role allocation.

The present paper uses scientometric indicators to examine the Li-ion battery research in India as reflected through Web of Science Core Collection (WoS) data of 32 years (1989-2020). India produced 2864 publications during the period but the publication activity increased manifold during the last decade. The output was scattered among 1346 institutions. However, 28 institutions produced 1% or more of the total output. One third (34.5%) of the output emerged out of international collaboration. About 71.5% of the output were in journals with impact factor >=2. The paper also identifies the aspects/direction of research through keyword analysis besides identifying preferred journals and prolific authors.
