Corporate digital transformation: 企业数字化转型:

Purpose of the study: To analyze the configuration of the status quo of digital transformation in a sample of organizations, through the model application proposed by Rogers (2017).Methodology: It consisted of a quantum study in 2022 with 159 Brazilian companies, whose analysis was performed by modeling structural equations.Originality/Relevance: Studies on the evolution of organizations in various contexts are of paramount importance for the establishment and implementation of actions, creating possibilities for continuous improvements in corporate environments. Thus, it is essential that analyzes on the boundaries of knowledge and executive realities in business scenarios are increasingly necessary for decision making in corporate daily life. Under this premise, and observing the phenomenon of digital transformation, this article developed,Main Results: Significant adherence of the variables of the model was found to explain the digital transformation process experienced by the surveyed companies. Innovation and customer orientation activities were the most significant constructs of digital transformation, while the orientation for competition and data quality explained to a lesser extent, although the orientation for value creation was not statistically significant.Theoretical/Methodological Contributions: The theme is emerging in the literature, and the vast majority of studies address it in the logic of reports and corporate courses. The resulting contributions of empirical research are still scarce. This work aims to offer a deeper and more timely speaker on this important theme.Social Contributions/Management Contributions: It is intended to contribute with critical and dense content to organizational analysis and decision-making, especially those of the competitive environment.

Study Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the relationships between Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) and the structuring of business in the incubation process.Methodology/ Approach: A theoretical-conceptual approach was adopted, based on a systematic literature review (SLR) in the Web of Science and SCOPUS databases, using the string “Entrepreneurial Orientation” AND Incubat*. A total of 32 articles were selected for the full reading phase with the support of Atlas Ti software.Originality/Relevance: It indicates that the development and strengthening of entrepreneurial culture in nascent companies occur through the articulation of EO applied to incubation strategy.Main Results: As result, it was possible to develop a conceptual framework regarding the mediating antecedents and consequences of the relationships between EO and business incubation, as well as to rise propositions based on the research findings.Theoretical/Methodological Contributions: This study advances the theory of EO by addressing it in the context of business incubation, a growing field with few studies from the EO-Incubation perspective.Social/Administrative Contributions: Relevant reflections are presented for institutional policymakers, universities, technology parks, governments, and other institutions interested in strengthening an entrepreneurship-oriented culture.

In this editorial comment, we highlight the importance of establishing clear connections between academic research and management and innovation practices. We emphasize that, in addition to advancing theoretical knowledge, research should also offer practical contributions, avoiding being merely ceremonial and becoming central in justifying the importance of the work. The references from Bartunek & Rynes (2010) and Simsek et al. (2022) provide a framework for creating well-defined and user-centered practical implications, recognizing the specific needs of the various target audiences. The application of the proposed roadmap in the analysis of innovation articles suggests how practical contributions can be more effectively communicated and potentially adopted by managers. This editorial underscores the need for research that not only contributes to theory but also promotes practical and sustainable changes in management.

Insights sobre a relação entre inovação aberta e aquisição de conhecimento externo em PMEs Sul-Coreanas de base tecnológica 韩国科技型中小企业开放式创新与外部知识获取之间关系的启示

Objetivo: Analisar evidências da lógica da inovação aberta em  PMEs sul-coreanas  atuando no segmento de tecnologia da informação, considerando como referência os principais  elementos empregados por elas nos processos de aquisição de conhecimento externo (CE).Metodologia: O método empregado é  qualitativo, exploratório e interpretativo, emprega revisão sistemática da literatura para elaborar os instrumentos de pesquisa. O campo foi sustentado em 9 entrevistas semiestruturadas com dirigentes/profissionais das 7 PMEs investigadas, e foi realizado na região de Seul, na Coréia do Sul. Na análise dos dados foi empregada a análise de conteúdos e o programa Atlas TI. Para a discussão dos resultados foi usado o método de busca Snowball, apoiado no Google Scholar e no Chatgpt 4.0 para a organização da relação entre os resultados.Resultados: A análise dos processos de aquisição de CE usados nas PMES sul-coreanas exigiu a construção de referenciais analíticos baseados nas teorias empregadas. A análise revelou evidências da lógica da inovação aberta nos processos de aquisição de CE das PMEs. Ainda foram identificados aspectos relevantes acerca da gestão e dos processos de aquisição de CE entre as PMEs, que podem ser recuperados como contribuições ao debate acadêmico e à práticas gerencias. Originalidade/valor: Estudos tratando da relação entre inovação aberta e capacidade absortiva, especialmente em ambiente tecnologicamente avançado como é o caso do segmento TIC na Coreia do Sul,  não são muito comuns. Além dessas condições empíricas  particulares,  o campo teórico oportunizou conexões relevantes entre inovação aberta e ACAP o que constitui oportunidades de estudos futuro.

A criação de um protótipo de jogo para o ensino da administração 创建行政管理教学游戏原型

Objetivo: descrever o processo de idealização e criação do protótipo de um novo jogo de empresas que estimule a aprendizagem espontânea, uma vez que por não ter rodadas de decisões os alunos tomarão decisões apenas quando reconhecerem a necessidade de sua intervenção. Metodologia/abordagem: Em uma abordagem qualitativa, o percurso metodológico desta pesquisa começa no mapeamento das necessidades pedagógicas da disciplina em que este tipo de jogo é utilizado, seguindo para a criação do modelo do jogo através do método Business Game Canvas, e por fim a implementação do jogo com seus componentes e regras, até os testes preliminares do protótipo. Para avaliar a percepção dos alunos sobre a experiência com o jogo, utiliza-se um questionário já validado estatisticamente em sua publicação original. Originalidade/valor: No contexto da educação superior no Brasil, onde o MEC sugere que cada vez mais as universidades busquem meios de integrar os conteúdos teóricos com a prática, as metodologias ativas de ensino-aprendizagem oferecem ao aluno maior protagonismo em seu processo educacional. Alinhado a este propósito, oferecer aos alunos uma experiência que privilegia sua independência dos resultados de uma equipe em relação às outras, significa estimular a aprendizagem espontânea e permitir que todas as etapas do ciclo vivencial aconteçam durante a aula. Principais resultados: Os resultados obtidos com alunos universitários, voluntários do curso de administração, revelam que o novo jogo obteve nota acima de 6 em Clareza, Desafio, Atitude, e Aprendizagem percebida, e precisa melhorar nas dimensões de “intenção de continuar jogando” (nota 5) e Autonomia (nota 4,8). Contribuições teóricas/metodológicas: A principal contribuição da pesquisa é apresentar um protótipo de jogo de empresas pronto, operacional e bem avaliado pelos alunos. Desta forma, permite-se que seja explorado em novas pesquisas os benefícios de um jogo sem rodadas de decisões. Contribuições sociais/gerenciais: O uso das metodologias ativas de ensino contribui para que a sociedade seja mais protagonista de seu aprendizado, e com este tipo de jogo acredita-se que os professores poderão formar administradores mais preparados para os desafios do mercado de trabalho.

Objective of the study: the general objective of this paper was to verify what the perceived benefits and difficulties are in using the XBRL language to communicate financial information to the market.Methodology: To achieve this general objective, we prepared a survey and we used descriptive and multivariate statistics to analyses the data.Originality: There are few articles that research the Brazilian reality about the adoption of the XBRL language. In addition to having respondents who are users and know the language, we asked about the perception of users and preparers about the benefits of financial information that had the characteristics of files in XBRL.Main results: It was concluded that the preparation of and interaction with XBRL files are not easy and the use of XBRL does not reduce file preparation errors. The costs of preparing XBRL files are no higher than for other file types. Thus, any possible adoption of the XBRL language in Brazil would not mean a significant cost increase for companies after the learning period. The perception of transparency in relation to the company increases, which can improve its image and contribute to a reduction in informational asymmetry.Theoretical contributions: The work corroborates the determinants of innovation adoption, according to TRA, TAM and Diffusion of Innovation (Rogers). In addition, it confirms the perception of benefits pointed out in the literature by users and preparers of financial information.Social / management contributions: The work contributes to the discussion of the adoption of practical aspects by regulatory bodies to increase the transparency of companies in Brazil.

Objective: The goal of this paper is to identify both the opportunities and barriers to adopting Lean Thinking for value co-creation in agro-industrial services.Design/methodology/approach: This research paper comprises a methodical review of the literature on value co-creation in agro-industrial services, with a specific focus on Lean Thinking. The authors utilized Bardin's (2011) content analysis approach to examine the resulting portfolio and derive insights into the prospects and challenges of implementing Lean Thinking in value co-creation within the agro-industrial services sector.Findings: The opportunities and barriers for the adoption of Lean Thinking in value co-creation in agro-industrial services were identified by the authors, who also proposed ways to overcome the obstacles. In total, five opportunities and five barriers were recognized.Originality: This study represents a novel effort in identifying the opportunities and barriers of implementing Lean Thinking in value co-creation for agro-industrial services. The findings may guide decision-making processes and strategic actions aimed at enhancing the agro-industrial market.Practical implications: The identified opportunities and barriers can provide a foundation for guiding strategies that direct agribusiness players in making informed decisions, while also mitigating waste through collaborative efforts among multiple companies. It can also guide players towards value aggregation in their products and/or processes by promoting co-created services among players, in line with the principles of Lean Thinking.Social implications: Efficient value co-creation in agro-industrial services can result in improved well-being, convenience, and service offerings for society. It can also add value to products through services and create more employment opportunities in the agro-industrial sector.

Objective of the study: The research in this paper contributes to the understanding of how physical, virtual, and cognitive structures support innovation ecosystems’ multi-actor research, development, and innovation (R&D&I) collaboration in its different phases.Methodology/Approach: The research’s methodological approach is based on a qualitative case study research strategy. It is done by exploring three innovation ecosystem cases. The case data comprises the case ecosystems’ existing documentation that was supplemented with five semi-structured interviews.Originality/Relevance: Based on the findings of this research, it was possible to explore how industry and academy partners are collaborating through virtual, physical, and cognitive structures. Our cases also provide empirical evidence on how physical industrial sites can be used as environments for collaborative industry-academy R&D&I work.Main Results: As a result, the paper presents lessons learned from three different innovation ecosystem cases that involve industrial, technology, and academy partners to tackle industrial use cases through virtual, physical, and cognitive structures. An example of such lessons learned is assembling dynamic teams to solve industrial problems.Theoretical/Methodological Contributions: This article builds an understanding of how virtual, physical, and cognitive structures support collaboration between different participants in their joint R&D&I work covering industry-academy collaboration. The article also explains practical examples of this using innovation ecosystem cases.Management/Social Contributions: The findings of this study may benefit professionals and managers who have an interest in understanding collaborative R&D&I and how physical, virtual, and cognitive structures can support it. Furthermore, the results provide means and experiences for innovation ecosystem managers to facilitate the definition of operational models suitable for the context of their innovation ecosystems.

Objective of the study: This paper seeks to discuss identified points of connection between the theory of emotional intelligence and transformational leadership and their interplay in management and innovative projects.Methodology/approach: The research method used comprises a systematic literature review, whose final corpus of studies was analyzed in its entirety, after searching the WOS and SCOPUS databases over the last ten years.Originality/Relevance: This study’s originality is twofold. The practical actions that demonstrate the presence of EI in individual and collective behavior affecting transformational leadership and in advancing research that seeks to understand EI in a collective rather than individually. Second, the potential controversial aspects related to the intersection of the topics, such as narcissism and Machiavellianism in leadership.Main results: The study corroborated the interrelationship between EI and transformational leadership, identifying in the literature four main clusters as current and future fields of study. This study discusses these clusters and their implications for the management and innovative projects.Theoretical/methodological contributions: The study contributes by pioneeringly connecting emotional intelligence with transformational leadership in management and innovative projects, highlighting the overview of the interrelationship between these concepts and fields of study and possible controversial aspects, in addition to the expected positive ones identified in the literature.
