This research purposed to describe character values in English learning to the eleventh-grade students at SMA Saraswati 1 Tabanan. The subjects of this research were an English teacher and 24 students. The techniques used to collect the data were observation, interview, and documentation. The data obtained were analysed by using qualitative data analysis. The result of this research showed that: (1) Character education was implemented in learning process, (2) Character education in this research was inserted by strategy of micro character development including teaching and learning in the classroom. The use of language much morre depend on, when, who use it. This happens because of the dynamic characters of language. It means that languange will always develope in accordance with the development and dynamics of sociaty. Whether the language changes quickly or not it depends on intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic factors consist of character of language itself namely, established, fleksible or adapted. Beside that the important thing in dynamics as of language is that how important the rule of the language as the referance of the other dialecs. Apart from the intrinsic factors. The extrimsics factors also have important rule in the dymamics of development of language. This concerning wheter. The language itself fungtion as a mean of unity or as the identity of the speakers. In terms of morphology, reduplication is called unique because it duplicates the similar words twice or more. In Indonesia, reduplication is often used in daily communication. It can make Indonesian language sound unique. It is possible to say “kecil-kecil” to emphasize “something (plural) in small size”. On the other hand, when Indonesian reduplication is translated into English, it is impossible to find “*small-small” as its translation. This paper aims to investigate about translation equivalence of Indonesian verb reduplication into English. The Natural Semantic Metalanguage approach proposed by Wierzbicka (1996) was used to find translation equivalence of Indonesian verb reduplication meaning and its translation into English. By using descriptive qualitative methods in analyzing data, the finding shows that verb reduplication emphasizes on reciprocal meaning, iterative meaning, and the meaning of doing something for happiness. Translating Indonesian verb reduplication into English means transferring the message or emphasizes meaning rather than preserving their unique form. Learning to identify the structure and linguistic elements of fantasy story texts has been taught in class VII B State Junior High School 6 Tabanan according to the 2013 curriculum. the average obtained by students is still relatively low. This happens because of the inaccuracy of the learning method applied by the teacher when the learning process takes place. Teachers theorize more, so students feel bored and less interested in participating in learning. This study aims to describe students' abilities in identifying the structure and linguistic elements of fantasy story texts before and after applying the discovery learning method and improving learning outcomes obtained by class VII B students of State Junior High School 6 Tabanan in the 2021/2022 academic year. Data collection methods used, namely the method of observation, test method and method of recording documents. Observation method was used to obtain data about students' attitudes and behavior. The test method is used to determine the students' ability to identify the structure and linguistic elements of fantasy story texts. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis method. Based on the data analysis that has been carried out, the results obtained are, the average value of students in the pre-cycle is 65.00 then in the first cycle it increases to 73.82 with a percentage increase of 14.76% and in the second cycle it increases again to 84.41 with a percentage increase of 14.76%. an increase of 15.51%. Thus, if it is connected with the action hypothesis, the ability to identify the structure and linguistic elements of fantasy story texts by applying the discovery learning method for class VII B students of State Junior High School 6 Tabanan in the 2021/2022 school year increases significantly. The current phenomenon indicates the quality of learning or the quality of education in general is a challenge during the corona pandemic or covid-19. It can be seen that teaching and learning activities between educators and students which were originally conducted through direct interaction in the classroom are not able to be carried out. Face-to-face or direct interaction in class should be limited or even eliminated in order to prevent the spread of the virus. It means that the health protocol requires each individual to practice social and physical distancing in conducting teaching and learning interactions. Due to the pandemic, teaching and learning activities suddenly have to be implemented by a distance learning system via the internet/online learning network. In fact, not all educators and students meet the eligibility requirements for conducting online learning activities. To address it, we invite all education stakeholders to participate in finding solutions and anticipating these problems. The solution is the concept of innovative learning media requiring to be developed in designing learning, understanding the distance learning system, and maximizing the use of innovative learning media in carrying out teaching and learning activities. The process of communication and social interaction raises the tendency of a speaker to utilize the potential for language variations. One variation of the language is code switching and code mixing to maintain togetherness in the community. Code switching and code mixing are changes in the use of a particular language or variety of languages to other languages. This study aims to describe certain forms of code switching and interfering forms found in the Student and Student Dialogue in Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Mahasaraswati University (Unmas) Denpasar. The results of the study show that there is indeed code switching and code mixing in the Manggarai student and student dialogue. took place at the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program (PSP) Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Mahasaraswati University Denpasar (Unmas). The forms of code switching and code mixing in the dialogues of Manggarai students and students are in the form of sentences and words. The factors that influence code switching and code mixing in the dialogues of Manggarai students and students take place, namely. Speakers or speakers, listeners or opponents of speech, habitual factors, changing situations, the presence of third people, changing situations from formal to informal, changing topic of conversation, forgetting local language, affirmation or to clarify, to trends and not to be outdated. The implementation of the arranging words game in order to increase the students speaking abillities. The subjects of this research was the students of VIIIASMPN 2 Tampaksiring in the first semester of the academic year of 2020/2021. The writter choose this class because there were so many students still have less abilities in English, especially in speaking skill. The main purpose of this research is increasing students speaking abillities by the implementation a new teaching learning model. The data collecting methode is learning achievement test.The data analyze is descriptive to qualitative and quantitative data.The research revealed that The implementation of the arranging words game in order to increase the students learning achievement.We can see the students achievement can increase from the early cycle to the first cycle and to the second cycle.Finally,It can be concluded that the implementation of the arranging words game can increase the students achievement. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that cause interference among VII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Ubud in 2021. The expectation of using Bahasa Indonesia properly and correctly has often been carried out. The use of Bahasa Indonesia among junior high school students, especially VII grade students, found that there were many deviations both inside and outside the classroom. Those deviations were found by the authors when observing during the learning process in class and during breaks outside the classroom. In addition, the results of the interview also showed that interference occurs and the causes of interference. The causes of interference in VII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Ubud in 2021 were prestigious motives, waning loyalty to Indonesian, bilinguality on students, loss of vocabulary, the need to clarify speech, tendency to use foreign languages and carry over of habits in local languages. This should be overcome by familiarizing and monitoring student communication in Bahasa Indonesia, both in the Bahasa Indonesia language learning process and other fields of study. Bagaimana mengajar dengan senang? Kita tahu bahwa sekolah – sekolah zaman sekarang telah mengalami perubahan yang dramatis. Murid dan orang tua zaman sekarang berbeda, bukan hanya perbedaan khusus secara etnis, tetapi juga dalam konteks yang lebih luas, seperti keluarga, komunitas dan masyarakat. Guru zaman sekarang tidak lagi berpikir “apa yang saya ajarkan” melainkan “apa yang dipelajari siswa – siswa saya”. Itulah pekerjaan yang paling menantang bagi guru. Tentu itu bukanlah hal yang menyenangkan. Akan tetapi, dibalik tekanan, kesulitan dan tantangan tersebut, bahwa masih ada hal yang menyenangkan dalam mengajar, antara lain, dengan mengajar melihat apa yang dibutuhkan siswa dan melihat diri siswa itu sendiri. Melihat perubahan tingkah laku dan karakter siswa yang berbeda-beda. Profesi guru sangat identik dengan peran mendidik, seperti membimbing, membina, mengatur ataupun mengajar. Melihat peran tersebut sudah menjadi kemutlakan bahwa guru harus memiliki integritas dan kepribadian yang baik dan benar. Hal ini sangat mendasar karena tugas guru bukan hanya mengajar tetapi juga menanamkan nilai – nilai dasar pengembangan karakter siswa.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Basic English Grammar mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan bahasa Inggris IKIP Saraswati dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan di IKIP Saraswati, subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris dengan jumlah 17 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa mahasiswa memperoleh rata-rata 53 dalam pretest, kemudian mengalami peningkatan pada test kedua yang dilakukan dalam siklus satu yaitu 70.8, dan pada siklus kedua, rata-rata nilai mahasiswa adalah 78. Ketuntasan klasikal pada skor dasar 23.5% (4 mahasiswa). Pada test siklus I, terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan menjadi 64.7% (11 mahasiswa). Pada test siklus II, ketuntasan klasikal meningkat menjadi 88% (15 mahasiswa). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Basic English Grammar mahasiswa.
