Managing an airport terminal project is complex due to the involvement of a large number of stakeholders. Airport stakeholders include many organisations and individuals, making it a collaborative service environment. Stakeholder theory denotes that organisation should strive to create value for all its stakeholders without the need to trade off. This study attempted to provide an overview of the literature relating to the stakeholder theory as well as examining the related respondents towards measuring the collective perspectives of the klia2 airport terminal project. Keywords: stakeholder theory; airport stakeholders; airport terminal; project management.eISSN 2398-4295 © 2018. The back lane is often associated with annoying, disgusting, narrow and dark. This paper concerns the use of the back lanes of the old shop houses in China Town, Kuala Lumpur.  The instruments used in collecting data include observation, unstructured interview and literature review.  The use and physical characteristics of back lanes were identified.  It was found that the back lanes of China Town in Kuala Lumpur showed the success of turning back streets into lively alleys.  Thus, the back lane could be considered as part of urban design strategies and not as leftover spaces. Keywords: back lane; social place; pedestrian; urban eISSN 2398-4295 © 2018. 由马来西亚玛拉理工大学建筑、规划与测量学院AMER(马来西亚环境行为研究协会)、ABRA(亚洲行为研究协会)和cE-Bs(环境行为研究中心)负责的同行评审。DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.21834/ajbes.v3i13.151

This paper examines the factors that make people use the street in Kuala Lumpur city centre. The study employed a mix-methodology method. The results suggest that the needs of users on the street depend on various factors, such as attractions; activities and reasons; proximity, lack of congestion; familiarity and length of engagement with the place public space. The findings show that, in general, the factors that make people use the street are mostly similar with previous theories. However, the attributes that contribute to the influencing factors vary for each context. Keywords: Uses and activities; pedestrians need; public spaces; liveable streeteISSN 2398-4295 © 2018. Evidences suggested outdoor activities in newly developed communities in China have become less active than older ones. Improving outdoor activities by physical environment is the major concern of this research. This paper used a basic social-ecological model to explain the mechanism of outdoor activities in China. An intensive survey was carried out to examine how environmental factors affect outdoor activities. 7668 users’ activity data were obtained by observation, and the activities observed were categorized into three groups concerning environment involvement. The result suggested that some factors such as accessibility, environment supports are linked to outdoor activities in China. Keywords: Outdoor activity; physical environment; residential community; social networkeISSN 2398-4295 © 2018. The main factors that contribute in successful of the park are good of access and linkage (GAL), degree of comfort and image (DCI), user and activities (UAC) and sociability (SOC). Six public park in Malaysia involved in this study conducted through a survey using a questionnaire. The validation and reliability of four constructs were done using Cronbach’s Alpha. The result found that all construct achieved Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient level exceeding 0.60 (GAL=0.89, DCI=0.82, UAC=0.82, SOC=0.82). These results explain all items in GAL, DCI, UAC and SOC construct have good internal consistency, indicating that all dimensions have a good reliability value. Keywords: public park, perception, accessibility, lingkageseISSN 2398-4295 © 2018. Soft Cost Elements in Green Projects: Malaysian building industry 绿色项目中的软成本因素:马来西亚建筑行业

The most commonly cited green building barrier is the high development costs of construction. Many developers share the common perception that green building construction incurs expensive additional costs. A preliminary study was conducted with four industry experts via semi-structured interviews to investigate the soft cost elements (SCEs) in the project. Eighteen SCEs were identified and categorized into three groups namely Professionals, Procedures, and Legal Requirements. Three of the SCEs were found to be unique to green building and contributed a financial concern. The study rendered that these SCEs may influence a developer's decision to invest in green building development. Keywords: Soft cost elements; green building; developer decision; development costeISSN 2398-4295 © 2018. In recent years, universities in Iran have been developed and extended, and the open spaces which help to attain the university goals have been rarely considered. This study aims at reviewing the previous landscape designing theories and approaches, which leads to making vitality in the university spaces and finally the effective parameters of vitality in university open spaces. Therefore, this study is a descriptive review of esthetic, ecological and social-cultural aspects of landscape architecture designing in the academic spaces, and as its title implies, it tries to find a way to develop the science of designing open spaces in university sites in such a way that it improves the quality of interactions in these open spaces. Keywords: Landscape architecture; university campus; landscape social- culture aspect; ecology aspecteISSN 2398-4295 © 2018. This paper prepared to investigate the current industry issues which are currently surrounding the application of current Malaysian Standard Method of Measurement (SMM) as a single standard system of measurement. An exploratory semi structured interview approach was conducted among the selected end-users. There are few important key points highlighted by the industry, which can be used as a guideline to be implemented in transforming the current Malaysian SMMs. The outcome of this paper expected to be used as a supporting data to be carried along to the next level of the main research, which aims to develop a more accepted and practical SMM for construction works in Malaysia. Keywords: Standardization; bill of quantities (BQ); contract document; standard method of measurement (SMM)eISSN 2398-4295 © 2018.
