This paper econometrically tests a complementary between the profit-wage and capital-labour ratios in the Indian services sector for the period of 1999-2017. The higher surplus-value is examined in terms of higher labour productivity, lower employment and lower wages. Two specific policy implications are advocated to revamp the Indian services sector for its sustainable future: (i) there is a need to increase public investment in the Indian services sector to expand employment opportunities and wages, to address the issues of deficiency of aggregate demand; (ii) there is also a need to reverse the complementary between profit-wage and capital-labour ratio to a complementary between wage-profit and labour-capital ratios, as that can lead to stable and sustainable demand and supply in Indian economy.

The worldwide coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has rendered establishing business extremely challenging. As international borders collapse, brick-and-mortar shops lock their doors, and consumers are advised to stay home alone, enterprises are faced with a number of new issues. With personnel facing seasons of financial uncertainty and anxieties, several enterprises are considering temporary or even permanent closure. Massive changes in consumer behavior had to be made right away. People in isolation or on lockdown are unable to go about their normal business because nearby stores were compelled to close their doors for everyone's protection. This study aims to investigate the effects of COVID-19's scope on Indian e-commerce companies. This study investigates if the coronavirus caused an increase in e-commerce.

Post-demonetization, digital payments in transactions became substantial; nonetheless, these services are still relatively new to Indian customers and are still in their infancy. Investigating the variables that influence customers' intentions to utilise digital payment services in India, particularly among millennials, is necessary to promote the development of computer enabled devices as an alternative payment method. Present study is to do a pilot study on millennial perception towards Mobile Banking/Digital wallets/UPI. The study makes use of Cronbach’s Alpha to see if the data is internally consistent. Millennials will make up 35% of the global workforce just this year. The results based on Cronbach’s Alpha show that the data is internally consistent after dropping each variable for challenges faced and customer satisfaction.

The aim of this study is to find the effect of Greece crisis on the exports of the U.S. Major variables like the exports of the U.S. to the European Union, the real exchange rates of dollar viz-a-viz Euro, the Index of Industrial Production of the Euro zone are used for analysis. The econometric methodology applied in this paper follows the methodology followed by Dua (2008). The methodology in terms of the model is similar to that used by Alam (2010); with the difference that whereas Alam analyses the effect of currency on exports, this analysis goes further by assessing the impact of not only the change in currency but also the effect of the economic activity in the Euro zone which would reflect the demand for the U.S. exports.

This article discusses a few concerns related to digital finance, a topic that hasn't received much critical attention in the literature. Despite the fact that digital finance and financial inclusion have many benefits for the consumers and the policy makers for the economic growth of the nation, there are still concerns in implementation of digital financial services for the people, businesses, and governments. The article's discussion of digital finance challenges is pertinent to ongoing discussions and national-level initiatives aiming to increase financial inclusion through banking, use of smartphones in the developing and emerging economies.

Knowledge refers to the information and abilities gained via experience or education. Practical implementation, as well as an appraisal of their value in people's lives, demonstrated the validity of concepts. The purpose of this research is to understand more about the retail industry's requirement for Knowledge Management (KM). Leadership, culture, attitude, and a grasp of how merchants develop or strive to boost worker performance of an organization's structure are all critical considerations. Knowledge management (KM) is a system that allows merchants to observe all of their company procedures and operations, which is very significant in today's environment when new technology development is critical to saving time and energy. Knowledge management (KM) is a system that allows merchants to view all of their company procedures and operations. Knowledge management practises emphasise the production of new knowledge and the timely use of organisational knowledge to maintain a strategic advantage. The company must be aware of which information is current, on the verge of becoming old, or has already passed its expiration date. The survey gathered 50 responses from both organised and unorganised traders in Delhi-NCR. This research report will be useful to retailers and other organisations looking to incorporate client purchase trends into their operations.

The thirteenth summit of BRICS nations was held recently under the chairmanship of India on 9th September 2021. No doubt it was a moment of pride which needs to be celebrated on political front, as all the five BRICS nations reiterated their commitment of enhancing intra-BRICS cooperation under the three pillars - political and security, economic and financial, and cultural & people-to-people exchanges, but have we got holistic pride as well? No, as we are far behind from three nations of BRICS; Federation of Russia, China and Brazil if we look at our health sector. A pertinent question arises why we lack compatibility with BRICS nations in health sector? If we look at the period from 2005 to 2019 the current health expenditure (per cent of GDP) is well below in India in comparison to other BRICS nations. The low expenditure affects the health-related amenities in terms of availability of beds, physicians, nurses and mid-wives etc. Thus, it puts pressure on the general public to spend more on health. This in turn increases out-of-pocket expenditure of poor citizens. The paper tries to examine the expenditure incurred by BRICS nations on health sector and find out the health services such as; availability of beds, physicians, nurses and mid-wives etc. It also examines the relationship between health expenditure and out of -pocket expenditure. The study will try to evaluate how healthy are the citizens of BRICS nations on the basis of few selected indicators related to physical health. It will look at the pertinent question; where India stands amongst all the nations of BRICS? In the concluding part policy aspects will be discussed so that each member nation can improve in the areas where it lacks so that overall health of the citizens of BRICS nations can go up. This will not only strengthen the bond amongst these nations but also make them prosper more as healthy human resource is the backbone of any nation.

The focal point of this manuscript is to address the reliability analysis of Boiler unit in the Thermal power plant driven from coal. It is made up of six subunits laid out in series and parallel manner, alongwith some standby units. The system under consideration is modelled in transient state aided by Markov birth-death process and CAS Mathematica is deployed to solve the resulting complicated system of probabilistic equations arising out of 8 working states.

In India there are different sectors which play the major role of accelerator in the growth of Indian economy. In this study, the area of focus is financial transactions sector specially banking sector which plays a momentous role in the economic growth by regulating and controlling the demand for and supply of money. The Indian banking sector supports the fastest growing economy of the world but it is grappling with multiple challenges. This research work analyzes the different variables that affect the financial performance of scheduled commercial banks in India and establish the relationship between selected macroeconomic variables and financial performance indicator. It also highlights the role of banking in changing economic scenario of India. The present study is empirical by nature. Descriptive cum exploratory research design has been used in this study. It has been found that GDP, CPI, exchange rate and lending interest rates are significant macroeconomic variables for determining the financial performance of scheduled commercial banks in India. It has been revealed that long term relationship exists between the selected macroeconomic variables and financial performance variables.
