. Storytelling constitutes the use of narrative and facts in order to express a topic of interest or concern to an audience. To produce and share stories with the appropriate audience, digital storytelling uses information technology. The position of underrepresented people and groups, such as women and African-Americans, is influenced significantly by storytelling. Storytelling, also known as narratives, has a long history in African-American culture, with African-Americans using narratives to share their life stories and folktales as a form of entertainment. The purpose of this essay is to examine several aspects of storytelling in the context of digitalization, with a focus on age and gender. The study responded to research questions regarding narratives and storytelling and by this storytelling aided in restoring identity among traditionally disadvantaged and marginalized communities and groups. In using digital storytelling, people were taught how to utilize digital media tools to create video narratives about themselves and their experiences.

. The article addresses the family language policies of multilingual families (FLPs) with Ukrainian roots, describing, among others, the language practices of families in different areas. The analysis of the study is based on semi-structured interviews with newly arrived Ukrainian immigrants living in Tallinn. The language ideologies of families in relation to the choice of languages of education are examined. The secondary objective is to find the reasons why some families manage to maintain their national language and culture and others do not. The article shows that the desire to integrate into Estonian society has influenced the choice of language of instruction of the school among newly arrived immigrant parents, whereas, depending on different cases, the choice was both Estonian and Russian-language school. The article also shows the language management of parents of the studied families implemented with a view to maintaining their language of origin, among which, for example, participation in the Sunday school for the study of Ukrainian language and culture is also in focus alongside the language of instruction in a general education school.

. This article suggests that in times of digital mass media, mediatized political issues create a self-perpetuating phenomenon that is here titled a neo-myth. Through combining interdisciplinary theories of Issue-Attention Cycles and Social Dramas, the article argues that the standardized ways that political issues are framed, mass-mediated and consumed in a contemporary society, paradoxically create a cyclical and self-perpetuating pattern. Instead of being linear, rational and cause-to-solution oriented, they become stereotypical, cyclical and performative, thus resembling mythological patterns both content and form-wise. The article discusses how and why these neo-myths form, as well as how political, public and media actors interact within the process. It discusses them in terms of their emergence, structure, causality, processual logics and formal variety, and suggests that the phenomenon falls in line with the findings of recent research on the shifting knowledge patterns in times of digital culture.
