El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar las representaciones y estereotipos proyectados de personajes latinoamericanos en las series de ficción españolas de prime time (2014-2017). El estudio parte de una comparativa discursiva de la imagen proyectada de los latinoamericanos en los tres principales medios impresos españoles y los elementos ficcionales de los actores de las series. Ello se completa con el análisis de los rasgos de personalidad proyectada, basada en la teoría cognitivo-conductual y la observación no participante, permitiendo extraer sus perfiles psicológicos. Entre los principales resultados y conclusiones se destaca que la mayoría de los códigos emergentes son de connotaciones altamente negativas (22), exaltando los antivalores estereotipados de la comunidad latinoamericana en España. Asimismo, los personajes analizados tienden a ser personas introvertidas y con dificultad para ser aceptados en la sociedad, y al mismo tiempo, amables y responsables para ser admitidos con sus condiciones de inmigrantes.

El propósito de esta investigación es cuantificar la brecha salarial entre hombres y mujeres en Ecuador en el período 2007 – 2016. Con base en la encuesta Enemdu, la metodología se basa en estimaciones de tipo Mincer (1974) para identificar los determinantes del ingreso laboral y en el método de descomposición de las diferencias salariales (Oaxaca, 1973 y Blinder, 1973). Los resultados señalan que a 2016, existe una diferencia salarial neta estadísticamente significativa de 4,5% en beneficio de los hombres frente a las mujeres. El 66% de esta diferencia es explicada por la discriminación salarial por sexo. Concluimos que a pesar de los logros en materia de educación obtenidos durante la última década, debido a la ausencia de una política de empleo y al ciclo económico bajo, aún persisten desafíos en cuanto al ámbito laboral más precisamente en el acceso a empleos de calidad, que al mismo tiempo aseguren equidad.

The objective of this paper is to analyze intertextuality in journalistic discourses regarding migration in transit over Mexican territory. Based on 131 informative texts published between 2012 and 2017 in newspaper “El Universal” and following a mixed methodology —descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis— we analyze how such newspaper refers to the voices of social actors in their texts about Central American clandestine transmigration, according to two contrasting practices: routine journalism and investigative journalism. Likewise, inferences are made about the power that different actors have over and in journalistic discourses, that is, the access they have to these discourses and the control they exert over their characteristics. The voices of the state actors were the most frequently mentioned and in a way that allows us to infer a considerable, but not absolute, power over journalistic discourses.

The main objective of this article is to explain the evolution of the party system of the Valencian Community (Spain) between 1978 and 2015. We will start from a historical neo-institutionalist approach and a methodology focused on historical analysis (path dependence and critical junctures). It will be centered on the changes produced in political parties, in terms of the Valencian cartelization and identity and its present position. This way, three working sub-hypotheses are to be explained: H1a: parties have had a continuity dynamic that has changed due to abrupt changes in the environment; H1b: political forces have taken advantage of these events to obtain electoral revenue and; H1c: current political parties are the result of changes experienced in the period studied. This complex hypothesis opens new fields of study for future research in terms of strategy, discourse and perceptions about these organizations.

In this paper, an indicator to measure the level of electoral political sophistication was created to determine, along with the traditional indicator of political sophistication, the impact of communicative variables on their presence. For this, an analytical survey was applied after the elections of governors in the Mexican states of Nuevo Leon (2015), Puebla (2016) and Mexico (2017). Findings showed a positive impact of the follow-up of web pages regarding politics and interactive communication in both dimensions of sophistication as well electoral debates on electoral sophistication.

espanolEste articulo tiene como objetivo analizar la relacion entre la vida cotidiana y las reclasificaciones sociologicas en el “giro del sentido”, propuesto por Giddens, Bourdieu, Habermas y Luhmann. Desde la metodologia del “abordaje problematico”, se rastrean sus usos de las metaforas espaciales de “horizonte” y “trasfondo”, que explicitan las caracteristicas del sentido como condicion de posibilidad de lo social. Entre los resultados, se detecta que Giddens, Bourdieu y Habermas encuentran en la vida cotidiana el espacio metaforico de observacion del sentido, mientras que Luhmann lo hace en un mundo formal. Desde alli, se abordan los modos en que la sociologia reclasifica las (re)clasificaciones sociales generales, que tambien reclasifican a las sociologicas. Como conclusion, emerge un juego de transformacion, disrupcion o desconexion, en el cual la importancia o no de la vida cotidiana permite establecer un espacio de transformacion entre reclasificaciones sociologicas y sociales o bien, limita y cierra esa posibilidad como irritacion. EnglishThis article aims to analyze the relationship between daily life and sociological reclassifications in the “meaning turn” proposed by Giddens, Bourdieu, Habermas and Luhmann. From the methodology of the “problematic approach”, it traces their uses of spatial metaphors of “horizon” and “background”, which explicit the characteristics of meaning as the condition of possibility of the social. Among the results, it is detected that Giddens, Bourdieu and Habermas find in the everyday life the metaphorical space of observation of meaning, whereas Luhmann does it in a formal world. So, the article approaches the ways in which sociology reclassifies the general social (re)classifications, which also reclassify the sociological ones. As a conclusion, an interplay of transformation, disruption or disconnection emerges, in which the importance or not of everyday life allows to establish a space of transformation between sociological and social reclassifications or limits and closes that possibility understood as irritation.

Given the centrality that the educational reforms of Pacto por Mexico give to the rules of the game ―vis a vis teacher behavior―, this paper examines its preexisting institutional design. The starting point was the existing claims that such design created agency problems. Our purpose was to prove the configuration of a specific type of agency problem: organizational moral hazard. We deconstructed normativity with the Institutional Grammar Tool (IGT), proposed by Crawford and Ostrom (1995). IGT allows to systematically identify ―if any― the rules present in policy documents, unveiling the genetic code of policies that configure arenas where individuals display their interactions. We found that the way control management at schools is structured in relation to the application of sanctions to teachers constitutes a moral hazard situation given its assumptions.

The objective of the study is to explore the relation between unemployment rates for men and women and the variation in public employment at regional level. To this end, a number of indicators are presented for the descriptive analysis of unemployment at regional level in the EU-15 and results are mapped. The main conclusion is that the marked sectoral segregation of employment by sex and the role of employment in the public sector for women should be taken into account when designing employment policies. On the contrary, employment growth in certain sectors and cuts in public spending in others introduce a bias that can boost male employment while delaying the recovery of feminine employment.

The disappearance of 43 students from Ayotzinapa in 2014 breathed life into a broad social movement. What happened on this occasion to generate a broad mobilisation of citizens? To answer this question, I believe we need to understand why and how Mexican society has framed the Ayotzinapa events. My starting hypothesis is that the Ayotzinapa events have produced a social process of collective trauma, and I will support this with Jeffrey Alexander’s proposal of cultural trauma, rarely used when analysing collective action. The analysis is based on ethnographic work carried out over one year (September 2014-2015) during the different demonstrations to show solidarity with the parents of the disappeared students, which were held in Mexico City, and 70 interviews held at the national demonstration on 26 September 2015 to mark a year since the 43 rural teachers’ college students went missing.

The objective of the article is to present results of the experience developed in the processes of initial teacher training. The methodology consisted in the systematization of such experiences. This way, the article aims to be a contribution to strengthen the teaching processes of nursery educators. The problem relates to the fact that the schooling of indigenous children has been historically carried out following Western monocultural contents and educational purposes. The investigation maintains that in the indigenous Mapuche families and communities present in Chile, there is knowledge associated with socio-cultural practices, which would allow supporting a Nursery Education, from an intercultural educational approach, with an epistemic basis in the social memory of parents and sages. The main results reveal key themes in the training, regarding knowledge for intercultural education for children under six years, strengthening communication and work with family and community
