The infection of sheep with helminthiases of the digestive tract in the steppe zone of the Trans- Baikal Territory, the species composition of parasites and the degree of infestation by them were studied. Based on the results of complete helminthological dissections (PHV) and incomplete helminthological dissections (IGV), 20 species of helminths were collected and identified, of which 2 species belong to the cestode class and 18 species belong to the nematode class. The most common helminthiases are nematodirosis, ostertagiosis, trichostrongylosis, strongyloidiasis, and bunostomiasis, esophagostomiasis, and chabertiosis were found much less frequently. In some farms, strongyliasis of the digestive system is very widespread, affecting sheep with an extensiveness of invasion (EI) up to 96,7 %, and moniesiasis infects with EI up to 60,2 %.

This paper presents clinical signs of glaucoma against the background of inflammation of the vascular membrane, risk factors for the development of this ophthalmopathy are identified. A scheme of drug antihypertensive therapy of this type and form of glaucoma is proposed, the effectiveness of treatment is evaluated. The clinical picture of secondary PUG in dogs was characterized by the following symptoms: increased IOP, decreased visual functions, endothelial edema of the cornea (from minor to pronounced), stagnant injection of episcleral vessels, changes in the depth of the PC of the eye, mydriasis, buphthalmos, the presence of exudate in the PC of the eye, the presence of posterior synechiae and goniosynechiae, bombing of the iris. The scheme of intensive drug treatment of secondary PUG proposed by us, based on a combination of several antihypertensive drugs, as well as anti-inflammatory therapy, proved to be quite effective (81 %), and the level of IOP reduction after 30-60 days was 31 % of the value before the start of therapy.

The intensification of the production of livestock and poultry products determines the strengthening of biological control and containment of the morbidity of animals, including birds, as well as the spread of infections that determine sanitary and epizootic distress. Coli-salmonella infection is widespread. By their antibiotic resistance, the microorganisms Escherichia coli and Salmonella spp. they belong to a high and critical priority group, most of the existing antibiotics for which are not active. To implement the tasks facing veterinary science and practice, formed by the global problem of combating epizootics of escherichiosis and salmonellosis, ensuring sanitary well-being, including products, a drug based on bacteriophages «EshriPhage» has been developed. Commission tests of the etiotropic activity of the combined agent «EshriPhage» in vitro in the spot test revealed a high level of epizootically significant isolates of coli-salmonella infection. Data are presented that allow us to recommend the widespread introduction of EshriPhage into practice and the further development of methods of epizootic control over bacterioses using bacteriophages.

The article presents a comparative morphological characteristic of the skin of representatives of short-haired feline breeds (Russian blue, Burmese) and mongrel cats based on a complex of macro- and micromorphological methods, including classical and fine dissection, light-optical study of histological sections, followed by micromorphometry and statistical processing of quantitative data. The morphological patterns of the skin of the studied cats, as well as the features of the structural organization due to the breed affiliation of the animals are presented. Mestizos reach the maximum value in terms of the total thickness of the skin, dermis and hypodermis, but shorthaired cats are ahead of mongrel cats in terms of the thickness of the epidermis. Bundles of collagen fibers of both layers of the dermis reach their maximum value in mongrel representatives.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the disinfectant activity of the «STOPMICROBЕ» product. This disinfectant possesses antimicrobial properties and is highly effective against gramnegative and gram-positive bacteria, including bacteria of the Escherichia coli group, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella spp., and mold fungi. The composition of «STOPMICROBЕ» exists in a metastable state, which does not allow pathogenic microorganisms to develop resistance. Laboratory experiments were performed to determine the disinfecting effectiveness of solutions of the «STOPMICROBЕ» agent during disinfection of test surfaces seeded with test microorganisms of four resistance groups. The results showed that the disinfecting effect of the agent largely depended on the material type of the treated surfaces, the species of test microorganisms, the concentration and the duration of the exposure to treatment. Collectively, the results of this study demonstrate that «STOPMICROBЕ» possesses broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, mycobacteria, and B. cereus spores.

The article presents the results of individual linear selection in the Sychevskaya and Blackand- White breeds based on the use of domestic breeding lines (in the Sychevskaya breed) and lines of the Holstein breed in the Sychevskaya and Black-and-White breeds, carried out under the conditions of the Smolensk region. The study used materials from the breeding records of farms in the Smolensk region. The object of the study were cows descendants of the line breeding of the Sychevskaya and Black-and-White breeds of different genealogical affiliation. Lines of bulls of domestic selection in the Sychevskaya breed: Albert 4191, Anis 4593, Vakhter 4333, Danzig 3641, Clover 68, Levant 5091 Ratmir 2003, Toreodora 3032; in Holstein fawn and black-and-white color Vis Beck Idial 1013415, MontvikChiftein 95679, ReflectionSovering 198998, SilingTraijun- Rokit 252803, Governor Of. Kornation 629472, PabstGoverner 882933. The selection efficiency is reflected by a significant excess of the level of milk productivity in terms of milk yield, milk fat and protein content. Cows obtained from Holstein lines in the Black-and-White breed, compared with cows obtained from domestic lines, in the Sychevskaya breed significantly exceed the indicators of milk productivity. The study also showed an excess of productive qualities in cows of the Sychev breed of imported lines.

This article presents the results of visual research methods used to diagnose the «Reminant ovary» in small domestic animals, in order to determine the most effective for making this diagnosis. In cases when, during surgical interventions, such as ovariohistectomy and ovariectomy, the ovary is not correctly removed and a part of it remains in the animal's body, about a year after the surgical operation, a number of specific clinical signs arise indicating the possible presence of a reminant ovary in small pets. The study of each animal began with the collection of anamnesis and general clinical examination. In the presence of clinical signs of the presence of a reminant ovary in the body of a small pet, various combinations of visual diagnostic studies were performed, which included ultrasound of the abdominal cavity, CT of the abdominal cavity, laparoscopic diagnostics and histological examination. As a result of the conducted research, we have identified the most effective methods of visual diagnostics for the diagnosis of a «Reminant ovary», which will help the veterinarian in his practice to quickly and accurately make the correct diagnosis and prescribe timely treatment.

Regardless of the breed affiliation in cattle with leptospirosis, suppression of neutrophil activity to the ability to digest foreign agents, neutrophil mobilization coefficient and, conversely, an increase in phagocytic number were revealed. Phagocytosis indices in the Red Steppe breed were significantly higher than in the Holstein-Frisian breed. In patients with leptospirosis of the Holstein-Frisian breed, suppression of the activity of acid phosphatase, myeloperoxidase, and the level of lysosomal cationic proteins was revealed. The Red Steppe breed showed a decrease only in the activity of acid phosphatase, relative to clinically healthy animals. After the application of highly effective drugs to sick animals (antibiotic, hepatoprotector, vitamins, trace elements, immunomodulator kargdechin), an increase in phagocytosis processes was found, in addition, cytochemical parameters were restored faster in the Red Steppe breed, which indicated a higher immune status relative to the Holstein-Frisian and breed.
