Purpose: Present study was an empirical attempt is to examine impacts of psychosomatic inflexibility and hypersensitivity towards uncertainty on the correlation between quarantine phase and emotional and psychological well-being during COVID-19. Methodology: A survey research was conducted among the targeted set for the collection of data. The sample of the current study comprised of students and working individuals (N = 300). Sample was approached using convenience sampling technique. Depression anxiety stress scale (DASS), Valuing questionnaire (VQ) and WHO-5 Well-being Index were used to measure the relevant constructs. Analysis involved frequency, distributive, correlation, regression and moderation analysis to examine the required relationship between the constructs. Findings: Correlation analysis showed that those individuals have high level of psychological inflexibility and uncertainty as they scored high on DASS and low on VQ and WHO 5 scale. In the end, limitations, suggestions, and practical implications have also been thoroughly discussed.

Purpose: The study aimed at assessing the sources of stress among male and female teachers, coping strategies adopted by the teachers and the effects of stress on the job performance of teachers. Methodology: The study adopted a survey design with both quantitative and qualitative methods. The study was conducted among secondary school teachers who were picked from both private and government aided schools in Nakawa Division, Kampala District. The sample consisted of 100 teachers who were selected through stratified random sampling that comprised of 50 male and 50 female teachers. Stress among teachers was assessed using a stress scale questionnaire and the coping strategies were assessed using the coping questionnaire developed by Folkman and Lazarus (1988) and open ended questionnaire was used to assess the effects of stress on the performance of teachers. Quantitative data was coded on themes derived from the objectives of the study. Quantitative data was analyzed using factor analysis, t-test and correlation analysis. Findings: The major sources of stress in terms of factors were work-oriented, personal failure factors and poor working habits factors. In case of coping strategies for social support seeking coping strategy, the main strategy used was “accepted since nothing could be done” and e least used was “avoided stressful work”. Emotional focused coping strategy had “prayed or got involved in other spiritual activities” as main strategy used while “I brought the risk to myself” was the least used strategy. And “kept myself from thinking too much about stress” was main strategy used while “gone on as if nothing had happened” was least used by the teachers in coping with stress. There was a negative relationship between all the three factors of stress indicating that whenever one was stressed, then their performance was negatively affected.

The present essay surveys the present position of African articulation with respect to its effects on the formulation of the linguistic identity. For this purpose, one puts gloss on Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart that includes an ambiguous devotion to myriad technical and narrative devices to debunk the yoke of the British Empire. The essay argues that, in contrast to classical writers in the field of fiction, the Anglophone novelists have been much more resistant to the colonial doctrines of selective classification. In fact, the African authors do not only fade the conventional rules but they increasingly endorse the public desired narration wherein literariness includes free generic mixed tools. The postcolonial text becomes subversive and creative. The essay exposes a critical discussion of the previous premises of articulation and its bearing upon asserting an independent textual selfhood devoid of the colonial limitations. The gist seems to leave the ground for building a creative local voice with public desired qualities. Thus, the fact of blending the local with the public leaves room for blending the word and the world, the inside and the outside, the Joy and the loss. This study focuses on reflections by students of ‘English Translation Practice,’ within the Study Plan of Languages and Business Relations at UTAD, Portugal, in 2018–2019. The main purpose is to 1. reflect upon the process of building Translation Competence through formal academic training; 2. discuss some of the difficulties that the students were faced with in a specific task, and the way they struggled and overcame their obstacles, thus 3. Proving that mediators between two languages and cultures are better prepared if they use more than just intuition and they have systematic training in the field. By comparing the students’ translation of the last 00:05:47 of S03E05 of Forged in Fire (History Channel) and the original subtitles, we came to conclude that portfolios are key to understanding critical approaches to problematic situations; they are iterative and dynamic working documents that exemplify the students’ search for solutions to their puzzlements and reveal fascinating insights into the development of Translation Competence. This study deals with the Egyptian phonetic change between "n" and "i". The phenomenon has been known for half a century. Its first detailed investigation appeared in the grammar of Egyptian medical texts by Westendorf from the year 1962. In there, the phenomenon could be demonstrated in seven cases. The present contribution continues work on this topic, significantly increasing the number of examples. The material consists of writings of individual words on the one side and plays on words on the other. The period of the examples went from the Old Kingdom to the Graeco-Roman Period. In the course of the investigation, twenty two new examples could be collected. The phonetic change takes place from "n" to "i" and "i" to "n". Public administration represents operations and practice of the government through management, administration and implementation of government policies having in mind public interests and the society as a whole. However, analysis of the political system and public administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH) reveals that this definition is rather “modified” when it comes to the mentioned country. Even though public administration reform is one of the priorities for BIH, the reasons why it has not been more successful are post-conflict reconstruction and state building, unique political organisation as a result of a peace agreement, veto mechanisms and ethnic quotas which makes the consensus harder to achieve and delays adoption of important strategies. Even though political elite in BIH is committed to public administration reform and the key reform institutions have been established there is a lack of necessary knowledge and skills, competences and most importantly, political will. However, public administration reform definitely represents one of the key conditions for the future of BIH and its accession to the European Union (EU). Undoubtedly, public administration reform is a complex reform, and in this paper, the focus is on the case study of BIH by identifying its key issues on the way to the EU membership. This paper is based on analytical method with an explorative and descriptive purpose, comparative legal method, literature review method, and finally, synthesis of results, combined with professional insight and conclusions.

Javna služba kakvu danas poznajemo zasnovana je na North-Trevelyan izveštaju iz XIX veka koji je osudio nestručnost službenika kao posledicu nepotizma u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu. Reforme su usledile u drugoj polovini XIX veka i prvoj polovini XX veka, a paralelno su SAD eliminisale sistem plena i zamenjivale ga merit sistemom. Prema ovom sistemu zapošljavanje i napredovanje u javnoj službi zavisi od individualnih mogućnosti i zasluga. Sistem zasluga je stvoren da osigura pravedno i otvoreno zapošljavanje i konkurenciju bez političkog uticaja ili drugih faktora, poput nepotizma, subjektivnog doživljaja kandidata, itd. Odgovor na pitanje kako ocenjivanje službenika utiče na kvalitet javne uprave značajno je jer se pokazalo da različiti pristupi ocenjivanju službenika imaju različite posledice po javnu upravu, ali i da isti pristupi ocenjivanju daju različite rezultate u različitim državama. Predmet analize ovog rada su evroregioni kao specifični oblici transnacionalne saradnje na prostoru Evropske unije. Tokom proteklih decenija, Evropska unija je intenzivno radila na sprovođenju principa decentralizacije, odnosno na približavanju vlasti shvaćene kao servisera usluga građanima. Jačanje njenih regionalnih kapaciteta jedan je od koraka koje Evropska unija preduzima. U tom kontekstu treba posmatrati i evroregione kao oblike saradnje između različitih evropskih naroda. Cilj ovog rada je, pored opisa nekih od postojećih evroregiona i njihovih prednosti, razumevanje značaja evroregiona za opstanak ideje o ujedinjenoj Evropi, kao i posmatranje istih kao moguće alternative između dva modela organizacije vlasti koji se danas nameću – globalističkog i nacionalnog. U tom kontekstu, razmotrićemo dalje mogućnosti razvoja koncepta evroregiona i prepreke sa kojima se može suočavati u budućnosti. U teorijskom smislu, koristićemo se teorijom o regionalizaciji i regionalizmu, a u pogledu metoda koristićemo istorijsku metodu, metodu studije slučaja, statističku i komparativnu metodu.

Poslednjih nekoliko godina, seksualno obrazovanje kao tema gotovo je iščezlo iz javnog diskursa zbog čega istraživanje i polazi od pitanja da li je Srbiji određeni vid seksualnog obrazovanja uistinu neophodan. Seksualno obrazovanje nije koncepcijski jednoznačno i može podrazumevati čitav niz različitih vrednosno uslovljenih programa zbog čega odgovoru na ovo pitanje prethodi analiza uporedne prakse i rezultata implementacije različitih programa seksualnog obrazovanja u državama širom sveta. Uprkos nedovoljnom broju sistematičnih i metodološki ispravnih studija, nalazi pokazuju da su programi seksualnog obrazovanja efikasni i delotvorni dok tzv. programe sveobuhvatnog seksualnog obrazovanja izdvajaju kao najkorisnije. Situacija u oblasti reproduktivnog zdravlja i porodičnog planiranja u Srbiji, jako je nepovoljna i u nekim aspektima alarmantno loša što je prepoznato i od strane zakonodavca koji je normativni okvir uredio tako da dopušta, a u nekim slučajevima i predviđa uvođenje seksualnog obrazovanja u školama. Iako se u prethodnom periodu u Srbiji ne može identifikovati mnogo inicijativa u pogledu uvođenja seksualnog obrazovanja, činjenica je i da su te malobrojne inicijative češće privlačile negativne reakcije raznih društveno-relevantnih aktera. Konačno, analizom mogućnosti i izazova u svrhe implementacije seksualnog obrazovanja, rad pruža i konkretne preporuke za njegovo uvođenje.

Dualno obrazovanje je oblik srednjeg stručnog obrazovanja, a dualnost podrazumeva to da se obrazovanje i obuka realizuju na dva mesta, u školi i kod poslodavca, odnosno trening centru koji odgovara određenom radnom mestu. Dualni model obrazovanja u Republici Srbiji nije prepisan zakon iz neke zemlje sa primerom dobre prakse, već je donet u skladu sa obrazovnim sistemom naše zemlje, socijalnim, institucionalnim, ekonomskim i privrednim okvirima. Ovaj model obrazovanja u Republici Srbiji je za sada dobrovoljni model i svaki učenik se u svakom trenutku može vratiti klasičnom modelu učenja. Zakon je donet 2017. godine a potpuna primena je otpočela 2019. godine. Sprovođenje dualnog obrazovanja zahteva veće resurse od onih koji su nam trenutno na raspolaganju, nedostaje osoblje, stručnost i finansiranje u procesu sprovođenja dualnog modela obrazovanja. Potrebno je više informisati sve aktere i zainteresovane strane i uključiti ih u sam proces. Oko 2600 učenika je upisalo prvi razred po dualnom modelu, a prema internim podacima Ministarstva prosvete nauke i tehnološkog razvoja u sistemu dualnog obrazovanja ima oko 7000 učenika i kreiranih 37 dualnih obrazovnih obrazovnih profila, 104 škole i 460 kompanija koje će realizovati učenje kroz rad, a uključeno je oko 900 kompanija.
