Reuse intention of augmented reality apps: recreational consciousness as moderator 增强现实应用的重用意图:娱乐意识作为调节因素

ABSTRACTThis study investigated the determinants of intention to reuse augmented reality (AR) apps. The data were obtained from 439 IKEA Place app users and evaluated using the ‘partial least squares’ (PLS) and ‘fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis’ (fsQCA) approaches. PLS findings revealed that AR attributes significantly influence perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and confirmation. All the relationships under the technology continuance theory were confirmed except for the impact of perceived usefulness on attitude. Recreational consciousness positively moderates the influence of attitude on reuse intentions. fsQCA approach uncovered seven configurations of variables that result in high reuse intentions and identified satisfaction as a necessary condition. The study contributed to the literature by (i) exploring the drivers of intention to reuse AR Apps, (ii) extending technology continuance theory, (iii) demonstrating the moderating influence of recreational consciousness, and (iv) using the PLS-fsQCA approach. Abusive supervision: serial and moderated mediation effects 虐待监督:序列与有调节的中介效应

ABSTRACTOur paper proposed and tested a research model that examined the interrelationships of abusive supervision, on-the-job embeddedness (JE), affective commitment (AC) to the organization, knowledge sharing (KS), and social community at work using time-lagged data gathered from restaurant workers in Ghana. The findings based on PROCESS macro reveal that on-the JE and AC serially mediate the influence of abusive supervision on KS. The detrimental impact of abusive supervision on AC is stronger among restaurant workers with social community at work at low levels. The indirect negative effect of abusive supervision on KS through AC is stronger when restaurant workers’ social community at work is low. ABSTRACTService-oriented high-performance human resource practices are a very useful tool for ensuring service quality in the hospitality and tourism industry. Based on the social exchange theory, social learning theory, and the human resource management-performance model, this study investigates how and when service-oriented high-performance human resource practices influence positive employee behaviors. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of service-oriented high-performance human resource practices on proactive work behavior. The study further investigates the mediating role of service orientation and the moderating role of service leadership in this relationship. Data were analyzed using PROCESS macro. The results of the study revealed that service-oriented high-performance human resource practices directly trigger proactive work behavior, and service orientation has a mediating role in this relationship. Relationship between climate change and tourism: an integrative review 气候变化与旅游业的关系:一个综合综述

ABSTRACTThe relationship between tourism and climate change has been explored and studied for a considerable amount of time. In the past quarter-century, more specialised research has emerged, and most recently, the subject of adaptation has been highlighted as an essential study requirement in tourism and climate change studies. This study offers a comprehensive literature assessment on climate change and tourism to date. We did a Boolean-based search on Scopus and got 703 records, which were then analysed bibliometrically using the bibliometrix package of R. It covers adaptation issues, the characteristics of vulnerability in a tourism setting, and the ramifications of such research for local communities. This study illustrates the difficulties associated with the interdependence of climate change and tourism by presenting the most relevant authors, countries, key terms, and research fields. In addition to descriptive insights into the field, we provide the conceptual framework (keyword analysis and thematic map). In addition to bibliometrically evaluating the publications, we closely reviewed the sample studies to gain a more comprehensive picture of the literature on climate change and tourism. Our evaluation reveals significant knowledge gaps and offers future research and policy objectives. It covers adaptation issues, the characteristics of vulnerability in a tourism setting, and the ramifications of such research for local communities. This study illustrates the difficulties associated with the interdependence of climate change and tourism by presenting the most relevant authors, countries, key terms, and research fields. In addition to descriptive insights into the field, we provide the conceptual framework (keyword analysis and thematic map). In addition to bibliometrically evaluating the publications, we closely reviewed the sample studies to gain a more comprehensive picture of the literature on climate change and tourism. Our evaluation reveals significant knowledge gaps and offers future research and policy objectives. ABSTRACTThe paper focuses on the negative aspects of artificial intelligence in higher education such as biases in the datasets and algorithms, plagiarism, factual incorrectness, micromanagement of students and employees, manipulation of behaviour, überveillance, overreliance on AI, lack of or low explainability and transparency of AI’s decisions, loss of skills, and privacy concerns. The paper adopts an operations management perspective and discusses the negative aspects of AI in the various processes in higher education institutions such as enrolment of students, hiring of employees, teaching/learning/assessment, administrative activities, research, socialisation and well-being of students, remuneration, appraisal and wellbeing of employees. Special attention is paid to AI’s impacts on ethics, creativity and critical thinking. ABSTRACTAlthough it is still at the inception stage, the Metaverse is likely to revolutionize service marketing and management by disrupting existing business strategies, consumer norms, and marketing practices. However, most of the existing research focuses on the co-creation of metaverstic experiences in terms of interaction, but not on the co-creation of the purchase experience process of the actual products and services. This study proposes a conceptual framework that explains how and why the Metaverse will have significant impacts on creation and delivery of service experiences, the marketing of those experiences, and the co-creation of the purchase experience process through the provision of functional and hedonic benefits to various stakeholders. This study also discusses the potential of Metaverse in mitigating decision risks attributed to uncertainties associated with service experience offerings, information overload, and confusion in the marketing ecosystems and customers’ service experience journey. Since the adoption of the Metaverse will have significant implications for all stakeholders while presenting challenges, implications of the Metaverse and the associated challenges are discussed. Cabergoline has long been used in the medical management of prolactin-secreting pituitary adenomas. However, there is contradicting and inadequate evidence on the efficacy of cabergoline in achieving radiological and biochemical remission in prolactinoma. This article presents scoping review of evidence in cabergoline achieving radiological and biochemical remission in cases of prolactinoma. We have used a recommended scoping review methodology to map and summarize existing research evidence and identify knowledge gaps. The review process was conducted according to the PRISMA-ScR guidelines (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews). The selection of studies was based on the criteria defined. Essential information such as reference details, study characteristics, topics of interest, main findings, and the study author's conclusion are presented in text and tables. With the study selection process, eight publications were finally included-one systematic review and meta-analysis, one RCT, and six primary studies. Cabergoline is effective in achieving biochemical and radiological remission in cases of prolactinoma. We identified several knowledge gaps with the scoping review and directions for future studies. Future studies, including randomized studies, will help address challenging questions associated with the management of prolactinoma.

Patient participation: the impact of diagnosis and individual characteristics 患者参与:诊断和个体特征的影响

ABSTRACT Despite the interest in encouraging patients to participate in their care, knowledge of the relationship between patients’ characteristics and the extent to which they want to participate in their care is limited. Failure to consider preferences may negate the purported benefits of participation. Drawing on Self-Efficacy Theory, our multi-method study addresses this gap in the literature by studying patient preference for a prescribed versus a patient designed wellness program, as a function of individual self-efficacy and health skills, for diabetes and cancer patients. Using an experimental approach, we contribute to Self-Efficacy Theory by finding that disease seriousness impacts the expected interaction between self-efficacy and health skills in wellness program choice. The expected interaction held for diabetes patients but not for cancer patients. Differences between diabetes and cancer patients may reflect the relative psychological distress and the heightened importance of effective treatment that were revealed in patient interviews.

Evaluation and treatment of children with radiation-induced cerebral vasculopathy. 评估和治疗辐射诱发的脑血管病患儿。

Objective: Stenoocclusive cerebral vasculopathy is an infrequent delayed complication of ionizing radiation. It has been well described with photon-based radiation therapy but less so following proton-beam radiotherapy. The authors report their recent institutional experience in evaluating and treating children with radiation-induced cerebral vasculopathy.

Methods: Eligible patients were age 21 years or younger who had a history of cranial radiation and subsequently developed vascular narrowing detected by MR arteriography that was significant enough to warrant cerebral angiography, with or without ischemic symptoms. The study period was January 2011 to March 2019.

Results: Thirty-one patients met the study inclusion criteria. Their median age was 12 years, and 18 (58%) were male. Proton-beam radiation therapy was used in 20 patients (64.5%) and photon-based radiation therapy was used in 11 patients (35.5%). Patients were most commonly referred for workup as a result of incidental findings on surveillance tumor imaging (n = 23; 74.2%). Proton-beam patients had a shorter median time from radiotherapy to catheter angiography (24.1 months [IQR 16.8-35.4 months]) than patients who underwent photon-based radiation therapy (48.2 months [IQR 26.6-61.1 months]; p = 0.04). Eighteen hemispheres were revascularized in 15 patients. One surgical patient suffered a contralateral hemispheric infarct 2 weeks after revascularization; no child treated medically (aspirin) has had a stroke to date. The median follow-up duration was 29.2 months (IQR 21.8-54.0 months) from the date of the first catheter angiogram to last clinic visit.

Conclusions: All children who receive cranial radiation therapy from any source, particularly if the parasellar region was involved and the child was young at the time of treatment, require close surveillance for the development of vasculopathy. A structured and detailed evaluation is necessary to determine optimal treatment.

Towards a model of destination innovation process: an integrative review 面向目的地创新过程模型:一个综合评价

ABSTRACT The goal of the present paper is to integrate five types of literature related to the innovation process (i.e. cluster theory, innovation systems, network relations, knowledge management, and innovation types) and apply them to the local tourism destination to build a destination innovation process model with macro and micro perspectives. The suggested models intend to broaden the thinking on destination innovation process for tourism-related agents at the local and national level. The paper undertakes a careful review of the relevant literature before creating the conceptual models. The paper’s novelty and uniqueness lies in suggesting a new conceptual model of addressing how innovation competence of tourism destinations can be developed, and offering insight for tourism-related agents at the local and national level into how to effectively create and manage innovations. Future research should undertake empirical studies to test the integrated models presented in this conceptual paper.
