The development and improvement of methodologies that allow assessing the features of the gene pool of domestic, as well as local breeds, farm animals by breeding-significant characteristics for associative research is of both fundamental and applied importance. To carry out breeding work with cattle to increase meat productivity (breeding and commodity farms), it is advisable to consider DNA genotyping as an additional criterion for breeding and selection of animals. In this study, using PCR-PDRF analysis, the frequency of occurrence of the allele spectrum of genes was determined: insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF?1), differentiating growth factor (GDF5), somatotropin (GH ? growth hormone), growth hormone receptor (GHR), in order to study the breed and population characteristics of repair young cattle cattle of different breeds: Hereford and Kazakh white-headed, bred in farms of the Stavropol Territory. In the course of the study, complex genotypes were identified, the allelic profile of which is represented by eight and seven desirable alleles of four genes in replacement young animals of the Kazakh white-headed breed and six marker alleles of three and four genes in the Hereford breed. It was also noted that the heterozygosity test in the two studied samples of animals for all genes was negative and ranged from -0.10 to -0.44.

An increase in the level of nutrients in calves diets with a 87.5% Holstein blood genotype by 10-20% compared with the Animal Science Center norms contributes to a significant (P? 0.999) increase in live weight (by 39-73.8 kg). By carcass weight, the bulls of the first and second experimental groups outperformed analogues from the control group by 26.0–52.1 kg (P?0.999), by carcass yield by 2.41–3.92% (P?0.999), by slaughter yield 2.39–4.0% (P?0.999). According to the yield of internal fat, the superiority of the bulls of the first and second experimental groups in comparison with the control group was 0.44–1.64 kg, or 5.2–19.4%. The bulls of the second experimental group differed in their hams and developed musculine torso. The meat index of the experimental bulls is higher compared to the control group by 0.13–0.39%. An increase in the level of feeding by 10-20% in bulls’ diets contributes to a significant increase by 21.1-34.7% in protein and fat carcasses. Hence, the optimization of breeding system and feeding conditions for Holsteinized animals allows maximizing their genetically determined productivity potential.

The article presents the data of molecular genetic analysis for several genes of the Rvi system of resistance to Venturia inaequalis (Cooke) G. Winter (Rvi1, Rvi6, Rvi8, Rvi9, Rvi11, Rvi14, Rvi16, Rvi17) of the collection and new breeding material of the apple tree (Malus ? domestica Borkh.) of different ploidy, ecological, geographic and genetic origin. We used the CTAB method, which was previously modified in FSBSI NCFSCHVW for more complete purification of DNA samples during extraction. SSR-markers and SCAR-markers linked to the desired 9 genes were used: Rvi1 – CH01D03; Rvi4 – CH02c02a; Rvi6 – CH-Vf1, VfC; Rvi8 – OPL19; Rvi9, Rvi11 – CH05e03; Rvi14 – HB09; Rvi16 – NH030a; Rvi17 – CH-Vf1. The experiment was carried out with the participation of 53 apple samples, including: 17 varieties, 4 elite and 32 hybrid forms of domestic breeding. According to the data obtained, the following genes were classified as quite rare in the studied sample of samples: Rvi9, Rvi16; the presence of genes has not been established: Rvi8, Rvi11, Rvi17. Revealed that among the new breeding material of the apple tree, the Rvi6 gene is the most common, its frequency of occurrence is 62.5%. The study of the allelic polymorphism of several target genes of the Rvi set made it possible to identify promising apple samples for breeding use – carriers of 2–3 resistance genes to Venturia inaequalis (Cooke) G. Winter. According to the DNA marking data, varieties and forms of domestic breeding were selected: Zarya Stavropol'ya, Nika, 12/2-20-75, 17/1-6-72 (carriers of the Rvi1, Rvi6, Rvi14 genes) as promising donors to enhance the efficiency of apple breeding technology for long-term resistance to scab. The data obtained are important for the formation of an identified collection of Malus Mill., the selection of new valuable donors to optimize a number of key stages of the breeding process for long-term resistance to the pathogen by pyramiding the target genes.

The parameters of acute oral toxicity of Mastigard® are presented. The drug was introduced intragastrically to rats at a dose of 2000 mg/kg. During the study, the tested dose did not cause signs of intoxication and death of animals. Physiological parameters of rats remained within the species norm. Also no changes in the behavior of animals were noted, the reaction to tactile, pain, sound and light irritants was adequate. Autopsy of animals at the end of observation did not reveal pathological and anatomical changes in internal organs and tissues. Regular control of body weight of rats testified to uniform weight gain of all experimental animals during 14 days of observation, no body weight loss was observed during all periods of weighing. Thus, the LD50 of Mastigard® is more than 2000 mg/kg. Mastigard® belongs to the 5th class of toxicity according to the GHS and the 4th class of danger (substances of little danger) according to GOST 12.1.007-76.

An analysis of the genetic structure using marker alleles of the EAB locus and an assessment of the productive qualities of the families of cows of the Sychevka breed of the pedigree farm KP "Rybkovskoe" of the Smolensk region is presented. In the genotypes of representatives of families with a frequency of more than 5%, there are EAB alleles of the Holstein breed: Y1A`1, G2Y2E`1Q`, O2A`2J`2K`O`, B2O1, and the Sychevka breed: O1I`Q`, b, O1Y2E`3G`G``, which indicates the presence of hereditary material of both breeds. The average milk yield for maximum lactation in cows of the families was 5624kg of milk, with a fat content of 3.91%, protein 3.28%. In the best cows of the families, milk productivity reached 9651kg of milk, 3.71% fat, 3.28% protein for maximum lactation. Thirty percent of descendants from the families of Laskovaya 7114 and Kladi 8080 have a milk yield of over 6000 kg, with a fat content in milk of 3.82% and higher, and protein - over 3.35%. Milk yield in cows, on average in the group by the third lactation compared to the first increases by 970 kg of milk or 22%, which is largely due to the milking of animals in the process of their use. The greatest increase (41%) in milk yield to full-age lactation is observed in animals with the alleles E`3G`G`` (+1681kg) and B1G3O1T1A`1B`E`3F`2Q` (+1706kg). Cows with the EAB allele B1G2O1 are different by an increased (by 40%) period of productive use, and, as a result, lifetime milk yield, they are 42% higher than the average for families. Cows with the marker allele P1QA`1J`2E`1I` have lifetime milk yield indicators 69.5% higher than the average for families.

Studies were conducted to study the species composition of open-living insects of phytophages and entomophages in the agrocenosis of winter soft wheat on varieties Povolzhskaya 30 and Povolzhskayaniva. The studies were conducted in 2020-2022, which differed in meteorological conditions, in the forest-steppe zone of the Samara region. In the agrocenosis of winter wheat, 28 species of phytophagous insects were identified, which belonged to 16 families. The most numerous in terms of species composition were the families: Chloropidae, Chrysomelidae ,Aphididae, Scutelleridae. The families were small in species composition: Phlaeothripidae, Pentatomidae, Berytidae, Miridae, Acrididae, Elateridae, Cephidae, Carabidae and Scarabaeidae. All phytophagous insects were divided into 6 orders: Bubble-legged or Thrips (Thysanoptera), Hemiptera or bugs (Hemiptera), Diptera (Diptera), Coleoptera or Beetles (Coleoptera), Straight-winged (Ortoptera), Hymenoptera (Hymenoptera). Numerous species composition of phytophagous insects was observed in the orders of Hemiptera (39.0%), Diptera and Coleoptera (25.0% each). The majority of phytophagous insects fed only on vegetative parts of plants (64.0%) (roots, stems, and leaves), 7.0% of species fed on generative parts of plants (mainly grain feeding). 29.0% of the species had a mixed type of nutrition, on vegetative organs (mainly in the larval stage) and on generative organs (mainly imago). Among phytophagous insects, the proportion with a gnawing mouth was 54.0%, and the proportion with a sucking mouth was 46.0%. The species composition of openly living entomophages in the agrocenosis of winter wheat was diverse. It is represented by 6 detachments. The largest number of species was observed in the orders Coleoptera or Beetles (Coleoptera) and the order of Spiders (Araneae). Ladybugs (Coccinellids) dominated among entomophages, which were represented by 9 species.

The work studied the influence of various methods of basic soil cultivation: plowing, minimal tillage and plant nutrition systems: mineral fertilizer ammophos, microbiological fertilizer Azofit and complex mineral fertilizers Strada N, Microel on the productivity of spring durum wheat (Luch 25 variety). In recent years, there has been a steady decline in the area under spring wheat crops, especially durum wheat, in the region, which in turn indicates the need to improve its cultivation, taking into account climatic changes. In the course of the research, it was found out that in dry weather conditions after deep soil cultivation, the most cost effective was the application of a complex nitrogen-containing mineral fertilizer Strada N; during minimal basic tillage, the highest level of profitability was on the variant with the foliar application of complex mineral fertilizer Strada N together with mineral fertilizers.

Bast crops are characterized by the content of strong bast fibers in the stems and a significant height of crops. The process of cleaning them involves the use of narrowly focused and powerful machines. The article considers the principle of distribution of the effective power of a self-propelled harvesting unit for bast crops. The evaluation of the components of the power balance will allow quantifying the power capabilities of the engine and the loading of the energy means in the unit with an adapter to perform the technological process for various cleaning conditions

A mineral feed additive in the composition of selenium and cobalt aspartate nanoparticles (OMEC-Co) was tested and an assessment was made of the growth rate and feed costs for calves of the dairy period of growing. As a result of the research, it was found out that calves from the control group grew by 631 g daily. This figure in the calves of the experimental groups was 12 and 18 g more. The difference ensured higher gross growth. Due to this, the calves of the experimental groups used energy and nutrients better and spent 0.06 and 0.09 EFU less compared to their peers from the control group.
