This research delves into the intricate relationship between transformational leadership and employee engagement. By examining a specific demographic within a designated industry, we aimed to discern the direct and mediating effects of leadership styles on work involvement. The study's design was cross-sectional, capturing insights at a singular point in time. Our findings underscore the positive correlation between transformational leadership and heightened work engagement. Moreover, certain behaviors, such as problem-solving, emerged as significant mediators in this relationship. However, the study's design and reliance on self-reported data present certain limitations. Future research avenues include adopting a longitudinal approach and integrating diverse samples to enhance the depth and applicability of our insights.

In the contemporary banking sector, green employee engagement has ascended as a critical driver of sustainability, drawing significant attention from business researchers worldwide. This research delves into the influential role of green leader emotional intelligence on green employee engagement, particularly within Karachi's banking milieu. Furthermore, it explores the mediating effects of green employee behavior and green organizational citizenship behavior in this dynamic relationship. Employing a convenience sampling strategy, data were amassed from 387 banking professionals in Karachi, Pakistan, providing a comprehensive insight into the sector's eco-conscious practices. Analytical procedures were conducted using SmartPLS 3.0, ensuring rigorous data interpretation and hypothesis testing. The findings underscore the pivotal role of leaders' emotional intelligence in fostering an environment conducive to green work engagement. Notably, the results reveal that green employee behavior and green organizational citizenship behavior significantly mediate the relationship between green leader emotional intelligence and green work engagement. These mediators bridge the gap, highlighting the importance of individual and collective actions in promoting an eco-friendly work ethos. This study contributes to the burgeoning literature on green human resource management, emphasizing the necessity of emotionally intelligent leadership in catalyzing sustainable employee practices. It advocates for a paradigm shift in leadership strategies, urging the adoption of green initiatives that resonate on an emotional level, thereby enhancing employee engagement and propelling the banking sector toward sustainable horizons.

Inclusive education strives to provide all students with equal opportunities irrespective of their capacities or learning requirements. However, the success of inclusive education relies on understanding teacher perspectives, as they play a central role in this new approach. The objective of the current quantitative research study was to assess the hurdles that primary teachers encounter when trying to foster an inclusive culture in mainstream government primary schools in the district of Multan. To ensure a representative sample, a multistage sampling technique was employed to select participants for the study. The findings of the study revealed a range of hurdles and issues faced by teachers in promoting inclusive practices within the classroom, including insufficient training, limited availability of resources, and a lack of support services. This research might contribute valuable insights to policymakers, administrators, and educational stakeholders, enabling them to design targeted interventions and support mechanisms that effectively address these challenges.

This study explores how emotional exhaustion is affected by stress, cynicism, and gossip in Pakistani banking while including abusive supervision as a mediator. The study's focus extends to delineating the governing role abusive supervision plays in the relationship between stress, gossip, and cynicism, and their subsequent impact on emotional exhaustion among employees in Pakistan's educational sector. Data were primarily gathered through a Google Form survey, employing a convenience sampling method targeted at employees in the banking industry. Analytical procedures were conducted using Smart PLS V.3 to evaluate both measurement and structural models. All hypotheses were rigorously tested, revealing that stress, gossip, and cynicism are correlated with emotional exhaustion when mediated by abusive supervision. Intriguingly, the study found that gossip does not directly influence emotional exhaustion. The findings emphasize that abusive supervision exacerbates factors leading to emotional exhaustion in subordinates, adversely affecting their mental well-being. The study conclusively demonstrates the significant mediating role that abusive supervision plays in linking stress, gossip, and cynicism to emotional exhaustion.

This paper investigates whether nationalism fosters human development and global peace. Nationalism is a political ideology that strives to unite people to give birth to nations underpinning common identities, including religion, race, culture, or language. Nationalism is based on psychology rather than logic. The core question is whether nationalism gives birth to nations or makes human development. Human development leads to peace. This means that giving birth to nations and the human development of its people are distinct political phenomena. To explain the distinction between two phenomena, the paper distinguishes two kinds of nationalism: negative nationalism and productive nationalism. Negative nationalism embraces the non-cosmopolitan approach, which divides humanity into different nations and creates political hatred among them. Most supporters of negative nationalism humiliate, exploit, discriminate, torture, and exclude people of other nations. This kind of nationalism is inconsistent with human development and global peace. In contrast, productive nationalism is consistent with cosmopolitanism which supports cooperation among people within and outside their states. Productive nationalism promotes self-respect, freedom, dignity, equality, and solidarity in society. Productive nationalism cultivates human development and peaceful co-existence among people. So, this paper repudiates negative nationalism and promotes productive nationalism, which fosters cooperation among people across the world.

The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted global supply chains, including those in the food industry, posing significant challenges to food security and sustainable production. This study focuses on investigating the resilience of Pakistan's wheat supply chain during the pandemic, with a particular emphasis on the concept of supply chain flexibility. Through structured interviews with 50 individuals involved in the wheat supply the study examines the impact of proactive capability, supply chain design, and reactive capability on the resilience of the wheat supply chain. The findings reveal that proactive capability in the wheat supply chain demonstrated flexibility in various aspects, except for sourcing. Integration among departments showed collaboration, but issues were encountered in information sharing and efficiency. The readiness of the supply chain showed detection ability but lacked training and strong security measures. Supply chain design complexities were observed in direct dealings and a lack of flexibility in flow. Reactive capability indicated challenges in quick response, crisis mitigation, and recovery, emphasizing the importance of response teams and financial readiness. The study provides valuable insights for supply chain managers, highlighting areas for improvement such as sourcing strategies, information management, quality control, and financial support. Future research could explore other sectors and agricultural products, investigating different geographical areas, and increasing the sample size. By further understanding the dynamics of supply chain resilience and flexibility, organizations can better prepare for and respond to disruptions, ensuring the continuity of critical food supply chains during crises.

investment opportunities that increase shareholder value. Therefore, the purpose of this study is twofold: to explore the difference in characteristics of financially flexible firms from non–flexible firms. Secondly, to investigate the effects of this flexibility on financial decisions and the value of a firm. The sample is drawn from the KSE100-indexed firms listed at the Pakistan Stock Exchange, showing 80 percent of the market capitalization. The data is collected for eight years from 2015-2022. The ordinary least square regression with year and industry fixed effect is used to estimate the proposed hypotheses. The results of the study revealed that financial flexibility has a significant and positive effect on the profitability, dividend payout, and cash holdings of Pakistani firms. At the same time, it significantly negatively influences the firm's value and investment ability. The results reveal a significant difference between financially flexible firms. FF firms have higher ROA, cash holdings, and dividend payout than non-FF firms and lower leverage ratios than non-FF firms. Financial decision-making has a significant effect on the firm value. The consequences of maintaining financial flexibility or low leverage below the optimal debt level remain a puzzle. The financial markets need to improve, which provides more debt and equity securities for firms to improve their financial mix. The stock market improvement also adds to the emerging market's economic health. This study added to the limited literature on financial flexibility or low-leverage puzzle in the emerging market. The results prove that listed firms maintain their debt capacity to avoid future uncertainty when profitable investments are available.
