This paper aims to examine the shift of power from the US to China in the Middle East without paying attention to some of the most vital economic factors such as energy supply, infrastructural investments and trade. Using qualitative research, the study employs secondary research that involves surveying of peer academic journals, government data, and trade statistics. Also, it involves a comparative analysis of the economic factors and strategic policy comparison. According to the findings of the study, the oil imports and investments of China today are remapping the Middle East economy and poised to dethrone the American dominance in the region. The Chinese model is focused on economic relations and exchange and does not meddle in the domestic affairs of its counterparts, which is why many Middle Eastern countries looking for diversification and reliability are interested in this approach. Such a shift is capable of leading to new alignments of power on the international and regional levels or even the fall of American hegemony. The study also reveals the fact that the US must alter its strategy in order for it to be effective; the plan that the study recommends includes diplomacy and aid and also a cooperative approach, some economic incentives and a collaborative strategy. Some of the findings that have been established across the Middle Eastern countries include the need to be able to manage relations with superpowers and defend national interests as crucial for sustainable development. The implication for international ties, therefore, underscores a shift in the nature of power relations within the global system, hence the need to study further the social-political impact of Chinese financial engagement as well as the changing nature of the uneasy relationship between the US and China.

The China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a pivotal bilateral initiative aimed at alleviating poverty in Pakistan by enhancing its energy infrastructure. This project focuses on developing crucial energy resources through the construction of power plants and the expansion of transmission networks, ensuring stable, affordable, and sustainable energy supply nationwide. This paper investigates CPEC's role in diversifying Pakistan's energy mix, integrating both conventional and renewable sources such as hydroelectric, coal, solar, wind, and nuclear power. This diversification aims to decrease Pakistan’s dependence on costly energy imports from the Gulf States, thereby improving energy security and promoting economic independence, essential for regional poverty alleviation. Utilizing qualitative research methodologies, this study examines the extensive social and economic impacts of these energy developments. By synthesizing various secondary data sources and applying thematic analysis, the research evaluates how enhanced energy security through CPEC can drive socio-economic progress and reduce poverty in Pakistan. The study offers valuable insights into energy geopolitics and economic development strategies, underscoring the significance of international energy partnerships like CPEC in transforming energy infrastructures and fostering economic growth in developing nations. Through detailed analysis, the paper highlights CPEC as a critical economic lifeline, essential for boosting Pakistan's energy self-sufficiency and accelerating economic growth. Consequently, CPEC emerges as a vital element in the broader strategy for poverty mitigation in Pakistan, emphasizing its importance in sustainable development and international economic cooperation.

This study used the Structural Equation Modeling approach to investigate the relationships among Green Finance, Renewable Energy Consumption, Ecological Footprint, and Income Inequality. Data from the years 2001 to 2022 of a total of 126 countries globally were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling approach. The objective was to examine the impact of Green Finance on Ecological directly and through mediation of Income Inequality indirectly. This study’s results demonstrate crucial links that exist between sustainable finance, environmental sustainability, and socioeconomic inequalities. These results point towards the importance of socioeconomic development for these factors. Moreover, Green Finance exhibited potential for alleviating the Ecological Footprint syndrome, and Renewable Energy induced differential effects on ecological degradation as well as Income Inequality. Economic Development and Urbanization as control variables have significant and insignificant positive effect respectively on Ecological Footprint. The policy recommendations as proposed covered a range of strategies for dealing with environmental and social issues. This will involve promoting green finance ventures, enabling renewable energy infrastructure expenditures and investments, supporting sustainable urbanization measures, as well as enhancing public awareness of the interdependence between environmental and social factors. Incorporating these suggestions into policy frameworks would mean stakeholders could contribute towards achieving harmony in terms of environmental sustainability and socioeconomic equity.

This study explores the state of social media as an e-governance platform which is currently in preliminary stage in crisis communication during three major climate disasters in Pakistan. The researchers aim to scrutinize the proactive or reactive approach of social media handles belonging to Disaster Management Authorities (DMA’s) of Pakistan during the natural calamities of 2022: During Murree Snowstorm, Karachi Monsoon Rainfall, and Floods. This study targets various authorities, namely the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the Provincial Disaster Management Authorities of Punjab, Sindh, KPK, and Baluchistan. Using quantitative content analysis techniques, the Social Mediated Crises Communication Model provided theoretical implications to determine which authority gathered more feedback likes, comments, and shares/retweets. The data is purposively sampled from the Twitter and Facebook handles of the National Disaster Management Authority and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities beginning from 1 January 2022 till 31 December 2022. The descriptive analysis on SPSS indicated that, most of the times, disaster management authorities adopted a reactive approach, with Twitter being a more active platform than Facebook. Additionally, contrary to other DMA’s, the Punjab Disaster Management Authority received more feedback on their social media platforms.

This research inquiry overlaps financial services inclusion and a national government's risk of political instability, competition, and banking system stability. It is the analysis of 22 emerging market countries from 2016 to 2021. The research is going to be based on GMM-System dynamic data panel estimate method and the aim is to illuminate the interplay of these factors and to detect their impact on the banking industry sustainability. The point estimates derived from the GMM-System estimation reveal that several of the main conclusions have been reached. The main point to note is that, in general, the more inclusive financial system, the more stable banking sector there will be in the world. What this finding stresses is the necessity of an inclusive financial system to strengthen banks by being a part of the ever-growing body of evidence on how financial inclusion can foster economic growth and stability. Not only does the evidence support the assumption that political unrest and financial markets have a strong relationship, but also the numbers show that this relationship is highly likely. In the case of a country where political instability is reduced, the financial sector turns out to be more viable, the study reveals. Political risk is of a great significance for financial markets and banking systems, and therefore call for political stability as a fundamental for the reliable banking system. Taken together, the finding of the study will be very useful for not only government officials but also the banking sector. The output reaffirms the fact that financial inclusion, competition and political risks are the key components for the sector stability increase. Such factors have a very important influence on the policy, regulation, and strategic decision of banking. These findings show the imperativeness of political and corporate leaders to make progress in increasing financial accessibility, allowing fair competition, and safeguarding political stability so that banking sectors may be reinforced and thus, the world's banking systems may become more resilient. Keywords: Political Risk, Financial Inclusion, Bank Stability, Emerging Economies, Competition.

The study investigates the connection between financial attitude, perceived information transparency, and financial inclusion. Financial self-efficacy will act as a mediator. The study tries to shed light on these connections so that policymakers, financial institutions, and other interested parties can devise better ways to promote financial inclusion and give everyone the tools they need to fully participate in the financial system. This study employed a quantitative research strategy. The primary tool for collecting data was a self-administered questionnaire sent to people in Faisalabad, Pakistan, using a snowball selection process. The relationships between people's perceptions of information openness, financial mood, confidence in their financial handling abilities, and financial inclusion were examined using structural equation modeling (SEM). The role of financial self-efficacy in these relationships was investigated through a mediation analysis. Financial attitude, perceived information transparency, financial self-efficacy, and financial inclusion are positively correlated. Good financial attitudes and perceived information transparency increased financial self-efficacy and financial inclusion. Also, financial self-efficacy influenced the relationship between perceived information transparency, financial attitude, and financial inclusion.

Mass Communication is a field that gives extensive knowledge about other disciplines of academics and its degree holder can work in various professions due to their grip on different subjects. In Pakistan, it has been observed that many of the professionals who are working in the media industry do not have any educational background of mass communication instead they are specialized in other subjects. A mismatch between the media education and degrees of working professionals is raising serious concerns about the future of mass communication degree. Therefore this research is an attempt to examine the criteria that keeps in mind while hiring graduates in major television news channels of Pakistan. This study also aims to understand the importance of mass communication education in the career building of graduates from the perspective of media management. To investigate their perspective, in-depth interview method of Media Managing directors, Human Resource Managers, Director News, and Bureau Chiefs from the five leading private television channels of Pakistan i.e. GEO, Gourmet News Network (GNN), 92 News HD, Express TV, and Dunya TV are conducted. As this study focuses on the management perspective, therefore, the data is analyzed under the umbrella of the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Model of Human Resource management. The study concludes that there is a gap between academia and the professional field. Media graduates are somehow lacking in the professional training which is making path for non-media graduates to enter in the media field. Apart from that, individual needs such as confidence and communication skills are also making an impact on the hiring of media graduates.

The current study used qualitative analysis of the Chemistry textbook grade X through the facilitation of NVivo 12 software to analyze the textbook about critical thinking skills development. The textbook was selected through purposive sampling. The findings revealed that the textbook fostered critical thinking skills through several approaches relevant to chemistry concepts in to real-world, and their applications, asking open-ended questions, presenting merits and demerits of chemical processes, offering flow diagrams of industrial systems, comparing related concepts, and illustrating underlying chemical principles behind the phenomenon. The book urged students to apply chemistry principles critically in practical settings, evaluate them from different perspectives, rationalize complex processes thoroughly, and analyze their strengths and weaknesses in various approaches. Additionally, it invited them to discover the logic behind complex chemical systems and question what drives chemical behaviors at core levels. Moreover, explicit instruction on developing critical thinking skills should be better integrated into the curriculum with inquiry-based activities.
