Acceptance of educational robotics: Evolution and validation of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology via structural equation modeling 教育机器人的接受度:通过结构方程模型发展和验证接受和使用技术的统一理论

Fully understanding factors that are related to teachers’ behavioural intentions to use and acceptance of Educational Robotics (ER) in their classes, particularly among students with disabilities, is a big challenge. In particular, social psychology models may be used more consistently to inform scholars about the paths and the strength of interrelated factors influencing learning support teachers’ acceptance of ER. In this study, the Almere model, an evolution and adaptation of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) as used in Conti and colleagues was validated. The model is directed to measure acceptance of ER in a sample of 319 learning support teachers via structural equation modeling. Results showed a model explaining a good percentage of variance. In the learning support teachers’ intentions to use ER with students with disabilities, positive and direct effects were exerted by teachers’ positive attitudes toward robotics, and by their perception of the enjoyment and usefulness of robotics. Furthermore, results showed that perception of enjoyment in using ER was strongly and positively associated with perceived sociability and this, in turn, was positively associated with levels of trust. Finally, perceived sociability was positively associated with social presence perceptions.

The relationships between sleep-wake type, resilience, and depression in Chinese minority college students 中国少数民族大学生的睡眠-觉醒类型、复原力与抑郁之间的关系

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships between sleep-wake type, resilience, and depression in minority college students. Through the method of cluster sampling, 791 first-year students of a college in Hunan Province participated in a survey using the Questionnaire Star software, and chi-square tests and logistic regression analysis were performed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 software. The results showed that the depression-detection rate among girls was significantly higher than that among boys; the depression-detection rate among students who did not like the current major was higher than that among those who did; while the depression-detection rate among students with the intermediate-sleep type was higher than that among those with the night-sleep (late to bed and late to rise) and early-morning sleep (early to bed and early to rise) types. The depression-detection rate among students with low resilience was higher than that among those with medium and high resilience. In addition, the night- and intermediate-sleep types were more likely to predict students’ depression than the morning-sleep type, and low and medium resilience were more likely to predict students’ depression than high resilience.

Experiences of bullying behavior among students in the school: A qualitative study 学校中学生遭受欺凌的经历:定性研究

The phenomenon of bullying among students in schools has increased rapidly. Cases of bullying among students cause various problems such as stress, depression, anxiety, and even problems with academic abilities. Exploring the experiences of bullying among students is necessary to determine the incidents of bullying experienced by students. The aim of this research is to explore the experiences of bullying experienced by students at school. The method used was qualitative study with semi-structured interviews regarding experiences of bullying among students. The sample used in this research was 10 students aged 15–18 at school in Bandung Barat, West Java, Indonesia who had experienced bullying. The results showed that the experience of bullying in students has three themes, namely verbal bullying, physical bullying, and cyberbullying. Various experiences of bullying in students cause psychological problems. Students become insecure at school because of bullying they have experienced. Bullying can be in the form of harassment, physical humiliation, insults with low grades, and sudden beatings. Bullying victims said that the perpetrators of bullying were mostly upperclassmen to their younger classmates, so bullying was also caused by the power relationship between the perpetrator and the victim. Bullying behavior in schools requires special handling by schools to make policies to prevent bullying. So that further research is needed on the factors that cause bullying in adolescents at school.

Case study of a Templestay and temple visit in Korea using customer generated content to evaluate customer satisfaction 利用客户生成的内容评估客户满意度的韩国寺庙住宿和寺庙参观案例研究

Temple visit and Templestay is a unique cultural experience that allows individuals to take a break from their busy daily lives and immerse themselves in a peaceful and calming environment. Temple visit and stay are often associated with Buddhist practices, but temple stays are not necessarily religious in nature. Through meditation, mindfulness, and other practices, it provides individuals with an opportunity to disconnect from the stresses of modern life. Using big data analysis, this study aims to measure the satisfaction levels of Templestay participants in Korea. Specifically, this study will examine seven temples in Seoul that offer Templestay programs. Through Google Travel’s online review derived from Outscraper. This study utilized R program and UCINET 6.0 in order to refine, process and visualize data in order to examine the attributes that influence customer satisfaction. The top 60 words are divided into four different clusters which are “Unique Experience”, “Facility”, “Value” and “Relaxing”. The following step was the use of SPSS to carry out an exploratory factor analysis and linear regression analysis. The linear regression analysis indicated “relaxing” and “value” variables are positively affecting customer satisfaction.

Exploring the influence of parenting competences on children’s emotional regulation and its relationship with classroom learning: A qualitative research study 探索养育能力对儿童情绪调节的影响及其与课堂学习的关系:定性研究

Emotional regulation is closely connected to classroom learning, so the influence of the family on the child’s emotional regulation capacities is an important factor to consider. The objective of this study was to obtain working knowledge of the skills and cognition possessed by a group of parents in relation to their parental competences linked to emotional regulation of their children, and identify the strengths, weaknesses, and potentials of these parental competences. The research was carried out through a qualitative methodological design, based on the knowledge, skills, and practices that parents have on the emotional regulation of their children, considering that these practices are key to classroom learning and therefore to academic performance. As a methodological strategy of the investigation, the case study will be used, with a sample of a group of 28 fathers and mothers, with infant-age children (0–12 years) obtained through a network of parents and an Infant School in Madrid (Spain). Through semi-structured interviews and questionnaires, the knowledge, skills, and practices that these parents carry out in the emotional regulation of their children were discovered. Concluding that it is necessary to reinforce some parental skills for improve the emotional regulation of their children, through courses, seminars, and family educational workshops, to put them into practice in a positive way, since this will influence learning (through motivation, communication, self-esteem, etc.).

Music education curriculum design based on the adjustment of college students’ mental health 基于大学生心理健康调适的音乐教育课程设计

Music aesthetic education can affect people’s emotions through hearing, thereby directly affecting their hearts, sublimating their emotions, and eventually purifying their hearts. Music can enrich college students’ imagination and also make them fully relaxed, thereby making their personality livelier and more cheerful and enabling them to better complete their learning tasks. This study proposes a curriculum design of music education based on the research on the regulating effect of music education on college students’ mental health (MH). Results indicated that music aesthetic appreciation has evident intervention effect on the overall level of MH and interpersonal sensitivity, anxiety, and terror of the experimental group. Accordingly, the curriculum of music education in colleges and universities runs through the appreciation of classic classics with a vertical line of music historical development. Hence, students are able to appreciate popular songs and also understand the musical styles and aesthetic orientations in certain stages of music development. Therefore, the proposed music education course takes the adjustment of college students’ MH as the guiding ideology, emphasizes the main position of students’ MH, encourages students to actively construct knowledge, strengthens cooperation and communication, and better completes teaching tasks.

Mediating role of fundamental anomalies on the relationship between behavioral factors and investment performance 基本面异常对行为因素与投资业绩之间关系的中介作用

This study examines the behavioral factors like heuristics, prospect factors, emotions, and social interaction on the investment performance of the listed firms in Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, the association between behavioral factors and investment performance is investigated through the mediating role of fundamental anomalies. For data collection, the questionnaire technique was applied by utilizing the items from existing literature linked with the variables of interest. Furthermore, data were empirically examined through descriptive statistics, demographic analysis, and a two-step (measurement model and structural model) approach using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and Smart (partial least squares) PLS. Under the measurement model, the study items’ reliability, validity, and internal consistency were investigated. The study findings through the measurement model confirm the reliability and validity of the latent constructs as measured through selected items. On the other side, the structural model affirms a significant and positive impact of emotions, heuristics, and social interaction on investment performance in the Saudi Stock Exchange. Moreover, fundamental anomalies significantly mediate the relationships between heuristics factors and investment performance, emotions and investment performance, and social interactions and investment performance. Conclusively, the empirical findings would greatly support various stakeholders, including existing and proposed investors, financial analysts, stockbrokers, and governmental policymakers interested in judging the role of behavioral factors and market anomalies toward investment performance in Saudi Arabia.

The importance of financial inclusion (FI) for women’s empowerment (WE) has been demonstrated in recent studies. However, it still needs to be determined how FI might assist women in gaining power. The purpose of this research is to learn how financial institutions (FIs) interact with women’s empowerment through agent banking (AB) (WEs). Using a quantitative research design—The study includes 408 women residing in rural Bangladesh. As demonstrated, agent banking moderates the favorable effect of financial inclusion on economic and social empowerment, suggesting that this effect is indirect. These results suggest that financial inclusion strengthens women’s power when financial institutions prioritize the development of agent banking. Despite the importance of expanding access to banking services, more is needed to increase women’s empowerment if institutions adopt agent banking practices.

Discourse analysis on same-sex relationship through the lens of religious and social belief systems 从宗教和社会信仰体系的角度对同性关系进行话语分析

Religious beliefs and systems have a profound impact on shaping individuals' attitudes towards same-sex relationships. There is a diverse range of perspectives within religious communities, with some individuals adhering to traditional teachings that condemn homosexuality, while others engage in a process of reinterpretation to support and accept same-sex relationships. This qualitative study aims to analyze the different perspectives about same-sex relationship from the lenses of religious and social belief systems. Purposive sampling was used to select the participants (n=16) who identify themselves as a member of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) community (n=5) and religious people (n=11). Findings indicated the complexity of religious influence on social issues and emphasizes the role of individual engagement with faith in either hindering or facilitating acceptance to same-sex relationship. People who are inclined to their religious faith tend to condemn same-sex relationship. Notably, this study observed different interpretations of people about their religion and faith. While others believed it is against God’s will to engage in same-sex relationship, others interpret their belief in more holistic and inclusive way. Nevertheless, this study underscored the importance of understanding the evolving societal attitudes and the role of religion in fostering social discussion, tolerance, and inclusivity within diverse religious communities and society at large.

Emotional intelligence and work engagement: The Moderating effect of work-related psychological impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic 情商与工作投入:COVID-19大流行病造成的工作相关心理影响的调节作用

Although emotional intelligence has been linked to employee engagement in the private sector, there is very little research regarding public sector employees. This study explores how emotional intelligence influences work engagement with work-related psychological impact acting as a moderator. The study adopts the cognitive–motivational–relational theory of emotions, which has a minimal research focus in developing countries. Using stratified random sampling, a self-designed questionnaire and interviews, data was gathered from public servants and analysed. The results showed that Emotional Intelligence (emotional management, emotional evaluation and emotional control) positively influences work engagement. Also, emotional management had the highest (positive) impact on work engagement among the three variables. Additionally, it was discovered that the psychological needs at the workplace negatively moderated emotions having positive effect on work engagement. Therefore, employees are encouraged to utilise their emotions to positively influence work engagement and reduce work-related psychological issues and reduce its negative effect on work engagement. Further, work-related psychological impact moderated the relationship between emotional intelligence and work engagement in this study. Theoretically, the use of the cognitive–motivational–relational in developing countries with regard to public sector frontline employees during and after the COVID-19 pandemic is unique.
