This paper provides an in-depth look at the various factors that influence the World Happiness Index and the extent to which these factors influence the Global Happiness Index. By analyzing several aspects of the study, including factors such as economy, social support, health, freedom, honesty and corruption perception, and generosity, the unique role of these elements in constructing the happiness index is revealed. The study found that there are significant differences in these factors across countries and regions, which directly impacts their overall happiness index rankings. By gaining a deeper understanding of the degree of influence of each factor, we can gain a more comprehensive understanding of the mechanism of happiness formation around the world, which provides an important reference for the formulation of happiness-enhancing policies and measures. This research provides insights for promoting global well-being and building happier and better societies.

This study focuses on the current status of leadership among kindergarten principals in Hefei, China. It examines the overall situation of leadership among kindergarten principals in Hefei and explores whether there are differences in the leadership levels of principals under demographic factors, from four dimensions: educational leadership, values leadership, interpersonal leadership, and organizational leadership. The study surveyed kindergarten principals in Hefei, with a total of 190 questionnaires collected. After excluding 19 invalid questionnaires, 171 valid samples were obtained. Through discussion and analysis, it was found that the overall level of leadership among kindergarten principals in Hefei is relatively high. The leadership scores in the four dimensions are ranked in descending order as follows: educational leadership, organizational leadership, interpersonal leadership, and values leadership.

This article analyses the body narrative in the film Portrait de la Jeune Fille en Feu from a feminist perspective, exploring the gendered power structures implicit in the female characters' bodily expressions and discussing how it constructs and reflects feminist theories. The article reviews the development of feminist theory, emphasises the importance of body narrative theory and its application in film studies, and chooses the film Portrait de la Jeune Fille en Feu as the object of study. Through textual analysis and feminist critical theory, this study dissects the body narratives of the female characters to reveal how visual language and symbols shape the body's position in gendered power relations. It is found that the female body narratives in the film are not only an expression of subjectivity, but also a response to social power structures, demonstrating the deep connection between gender, power and self-identity.

This paper examines Spinoza's philosophical contributions to the discussion on democratic governance, emphasising his endorsement of individual autonomy, reason, and natural law, while also criticising authoritarianism. Spinoza's views provide valuable insights into the intricate relationship between human nature, societal structures, and political authority, within the context of historical discussions on freedom and governance. The research seeks to clarify the potential consequences of Spinoza's philosophical framework for modern political thought and practice through analysis. Spinoza argues that persons, being a part of nature, are subject to its laws and have intrinsic entitlements to self-preservation and liberty. He promotes the use of reason in guiding individual behaviour and society organisation, emphasising the significance of rational government. Nevertheless, Spinoza's theory exposes its shortcomings in addressing social disparities and systematic injustices, hence reproducing the biases prevalent throughout his day. Notwithstanding these limitations, his focus on rationality and freedom continues to have a significant impact on current debates over democracy, rights, and social justice. This study enhances our comprehension of the intricacies related to freedom, governance, and societal progress by conducting a thorough examination of Spinoza's works and relevant secondary sources.

The 1990s represent a unique period in Chinese history, during which the characters real-life experiences have a significant impact on both the audience's perception of the characters and their aesthetics, debate and criticism of social reality, and, to some extent, the long-term trajectory of Chinese cinema. This period coincides with the release of Farewell My Concubine in this decade. Under the special background of the times, it tells the story of Duan Xiaolou and Cheng Dieyi. The story, featuring a diverse cast of characters from various social classes, can be regarded as a compilation of humanistic traditions in the 1990s. It encompasses critiques of feudalism, social turmoil, the struggle for survival, and a compassionate exploration of human nature. Additionally, it establishes a solid cinematic groundwork for future investigations into the social context of this era. This story reveals a concealed crisis of survival within a seemingly peaceful social setting, bringing together protagonists with diverse personalities. This paper employs discourse analysis and audio-visual language analysis research methods to examine the impact of character truths on Chinese films from the 1990s. In the Internet age, the public is exposed to "memes" almost every day. As a form of subculture unique to the Internet age, the spread of each meme is almost viral. However, in short videos, many people blur the line between borrowing and plagiarism, and in many cases, short video producers and viewers confuse the line between plagiarism and borrowing. Based on social networking services (SNS) platforms, the value communication of short videos rapidly expands its dissemination scale with low participation costs. The recipients of value, acting as both receivers and transmitters, generate and propagate the depth value of short videos through the interactive process. This paper takes the phenomenon-level short drama Escape from the British Museum on domestic short video platforms as the research object. Grounded in the Four Segments Three Relationships model, which articulates the development laws of online public opinion, this study establishes a value communication model for short videos on social networking service platforms. It explores the depth value communication patterns of short video cultural hotspots, and consequently, proposes the SNS Value Communication Model for short video dissemination. This model, with stages of value presentation, value judgment, value interaction, and value dissemination as its core, provides feasible paths for the deepening of positive value communication and the guidance of negative value in short video cultural hotspots.

The processing of multiword expressions (MWEs) has gained increasing attention nowadays, and many factors have been proven to influence it. However, within all these factors, whether L2 proficiency affects MWE processing has still not been answered satisfactorily. Some studies have shown that higher L2 proficiency will lead to a processing advantage while others have not. Thus, this paper intends to answer this question by synthesizing and analyzing the related studies about the effect of L2 proficiency on the processing of MWEs through research methods, characteristics of participants, research procedures, and research results and conclusion. This paper provides some possible reasons for the mixed findings of those studies from the aspects of the division of the proficiency levels, the differences of research methods, and the amounts of participants. Based on the limitations of studies that found L2 proficiency did not influence the processing of MWEs, this paper concludes that L2 proficiency plays a role in MWEs processing.

However, within all these factors, whether L2 proficiency affects MWE processing has still not been answered satisfactorily. Some studies have shown that higher L2 proficiency will lead to a processing advantage while others have not. Thus, this paper intends to answer this question by synthesizing and analyzing the related studies about the effect of L2 proficiency on the processing of MWEs through research methods, characteristics of participants, research procedures, and research results and conclusion. This paper provides some possible reasons for the mixed findings of those studies from the aspects of the division of the proficiency levels, the differences of research methods, and the amounts of participants.
