ChatGPT is a versatile conversational Artificial Intelligence model that responds to user input prompts, with applications in academia and various sectors. However, crafting effective prompts can be challenging, leading to potentially inaccurate or contextually inappropriate responses, emphasizing the importance of prompt engineering in achieving accurate outcomes across different domains. This study aims to address this void by introducing a methodology for optimizing interactions with Artificial Intelligence language models, like ChatGPT, through prompts in the field of engineering. The approach is called GPEI and relies on the latest advancements in this area; and consists of four steps: define the objective, design the prompt, evaluate the response, and iterate. Our proposal involves two key aspects: data inclusion in prompt design for engineering applications and the integration of Explainable Artificial Intelligence principles to assess responses, enhancing transparency. It combines insights from various methodologies to address issues like hallucinations, emphasizing iterative prompt refinement techniques like posing opposing questions and using specific patterns for improvement. This methodology could improve prompt precision and utility in engineering.

Eco-innovation has emerged in support of sustainable development, in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Goals, in such a way that governments and institutions have integrated it as a strategic part. This work aims to show eco-innovations state of the art through a bibliometric analysis, identifying its progress in the business, political, social, and environmental fields through a cross-sectional visualization of the literature from 1996-2022. Documents were extracted from the Web of Science and Scopus databases, totaling 3939; These were filtered and analyzed in Tableau, Sci-Mat and VOSviewer software. The results indicate that it has been a growing topic since the year 2000, identifying principal authors, countries, and journals and their relationship in the business, social, political, and environmental fields, as well as its influence on emerging research topics such as circular economy, environmental economy, life cycle, eco-efficiency, energy efficiency, environmental management, among others.

Research was conducted for the Large Millimeter Telescope Alfonso Serrano (LMT), a joint project between the US and Mexico. A Balanced Scorecard (BSC) was created based on the approach suggested by Niven in 2008. Eleven indicators and seven strategic objectives were noted, and a performance measure, goal, type of monitoring, and data collection technology were suggested for each indication. The outcomes demonstrated that the BSC provides a cause-and-effect link in all observatory operations and a framework that is adaptable to the particulars of the observatory.

In order to protect the environment and guarantee energy security, projects aimed at the energy transition (ET) are increasingly important worldwide. In this framework, three fundamental aspects for team management have been addressed, namely: critical success factors (CSF), barriers and challenges. However, the literature recognizes the need to broaden the empirical base, and as far as is known, in Colombia there is no evidence in this regard. Therefore, this work establishes in an exploratory way, from the perspective of experts in the Colombian mining-energy sector, how to manage these three aspects in ET projects. Among the results, the following stand out: first, the leadership and support of senior management as CSF; secondly, the need for sectoral policies to mitigate the staff turnover barrier; and third, the challenge of establishing strategic alliances with the education sector and leading organizations in conventional energy.

The structural equation modelling has contributed significant advantages in understanding projects success, although comparably, it has incremented the complexity of the analysis; thus, this research aims to propose a measurement model of projects performance considering the impact that generates strategic and servant leadership. It was conducted an extensive literature review where four observable variables were documented regarding strategic leadership, four variables for servant leadership, and four variables that measure projects performance. Initial results allowed determining a model that will permit to measure the impact of the documented leaderships in projects performance. This research contributes to increment the scarce existing knowledge in the project management field, and to provide the organizations with a tool to sustain solid strategies, aiming to positively manage their decisions on team development towards to improve projects performance, and thus, its success.

Artificial intelligence (AI) used in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) has a high application interest in project management. This article presents a result of military research on ISR applicable to monitoring and recognition of audio signals for environmental protection and critical infrastructure. Two databases with environmental sounds were built from open access platforms for training, validation, and testing. The identification characteristics for IA are extracted from the preprocessing of the sounds, obtaining the Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC). As a result, model performance for more realistic soundstages shows higher accuracy compared to training categories in identifying signal frequency and duration settings. It is concluded that the model is applicable to various environmental scenarios as a low-cost alternative technology to be applied in sustainable project management.

In this research, the performance of Information Technology (IT) projects was analyzed, evaluating if they meet the schedule, budget, objective, and customer satisfaction. A study by the Standish Group reported that for the period 2015-2020 only 35% of the projects were successful [1]. An exploratory methodology based on bibliometric analysis was used and it allowed to know global trends related to governance and project performance. Also, a quantitative methodology was implemented for structuring the model of factors and variables. With the information obtained from the Colombian universities, a factorial analysis was carried out and a statistical model of linear equations was built that characterized the behavior of corporate governance, IT governance and project performance. As a result, a governance alignment model was created, which will help to improve decision-making, deliver value, and increase the efficiency of IT project management.

The construction industry is increasingly recognized as critical in achieving Sustainable Development Goals. Construction activities and infrastructure have both beneficial and non-beneficial impacts, making infrastructure design a focal point of current research investigating how best to contribute to sustainability as society demands. Although methods exist to assess infrastructures' economic, environmental, and social life cycle, the challenge remains in combining these dimensions into a single holistic indicator to facilitate decision-making. This study applies four decision-making techniques (ANP, TOPSIS, COPRAS, and VIKOR) to evaluate five different design alternatives for a concrete bridge exposed to a coastal environment. The results indicate that concretes containing even small amounts of silica fume perform better over their life cycle than other solutions usually considered to increase durability, such as water/cement ratio reduction or concrete cover increase. Keywords: sustainable design, bridges, life cycle assessment, Analytic Network Process, TOPSIS, VIKOR, COPRAS, Multi-criteria decision-making
