The comprehensive advancement of ideological and political construction in university courses is a significant strategic move to thoroughly implement the important educational directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping and to fulfill the fundamental task of moral education. Universities should deepen educational and teaching reforms, thoroughly explore the ideological and political resources of courses, fully leverage the educational role of each course, and comprehensively improve the quality of talent training. The course on Engineering Law Principles and Practice has explored and practiced the path of ideological and political construction in courses. With the “One Body, Two Wings” model as the construction approach, it explores the path of ideological and political construction in this course. Focusing on student development, the course unfolds teaching through innovative application in teaching and value shaping for students as two wings. In terms of value shaping, it emphasizes not only exploring the ideological and political elements of the course in line with the actual situation of students but also requires teachers to lead by example and set a model for moral education. Additionally, establishing a scientific and effective evaluation system for the teaching effects of course ideological and political education ensures the effectiveness of the entire course’s ideological and political education. The teaching of the entire course enables students to not only learn knowledge and skills but also cultivate integrity, achieving the educational goals of the course.

Schiller’s aesthetic thought has always been a link and important presence in the development of German classical aesthetics. He not only critically inherited Kant’s aesthetic thought to discuss beauty with subjective and rational empiricism, but also inspired Schelling, Hegel and other western aesthetic masters to understand beauty; In addition, his thought of “aesthetic education” was founded for the first time when Western aesthetics was in the ascendant. As Chinese esthetician Zhou Xian states in his introduction, “The pursuit of this complete humanity is the most powerful appeal of the Book.” Mr. Schiller uses literary forms and aesthetic thoughts to silently fight against the tyranny and exploitation of feudalism and capitalist society. This strong anti-authoritarian aesthetic criticism of modernity is more interpreted and expected in his 27 letters to the Prince of Denmark. With the idea of “art instead of religion”, he tried to establish a new form of communication based on communication rationality that could be realized in the future aesthetic country, and gradually constructed Schiller’s aesthetic “utopia”. Based on this, it is particularly important to sort out the generation of aesthetic education thought in modern China and peek into the practice of contemporary dance education.

This paper describes an adult ESL student learning English in Abram Friedman Occupational center, which locates in downtown Los Angeles. The contexts of the community, school, classroom, and main basic information of my case study student will be illustrated at beginning and the theoretical focus of this paper is: Identity. Based on different identities occur in various situations, student’s motivation, investment, resistance, affective filter, BICS and CALP development towards English learning will be carefully analyzed. The evidence and data of this analysis paper are collected from weekly observation, case study student’s class work, and interviews towards my case study student and her English teacher. Three sub claims with examples and evidence will be developed under the main concept: Identity, which will carefully explain how identity affects her second language development and progress. Finally, specific recommendations to student in order to extend and deepen the advantages and impede the disadvantages from her identities will be provided. Last but not least, personal reflection on this case study experience will be given.

With the popularization of the Internet, which promotes the arrival of the microblogging era, college students in today’s colleges and universities are the main population in the microblogging era. Microblog attracts college students with its popularity, flexibility and originality. Due to the complexity of microblogging information, the lack of attention to microblogging education in colleges and universities, as well as some factors of college students themselves, microblogging will have a certain impact on the values of college students, which is specifically manifested in the sense that it makes college students increase their awareness of social participation, realizes and vulgarizes their value orientation, and makes their value standards relatively loose. Therefore, in the era of microblogging, it is necessary to take effective strategies to guide college students to establish correct values.

This research delves into the intricate interplay between globalization and Samoa’s education system, guided by renowned theoretical frameworks and enriched by the voices of 40 diverse participants. These responses from the participants were then analyzed using thematic approach, generating themes that were elaborated in the findings. The impact of globalization is multifaceted, transcending cultural integration, technological advancements, curriculum adaptation, pedagogical shifts, and stakeholder perceptions. Drawing on Appadurai’s (1996), theory of disjuncture and difference, the study examines how Samoa balances the infusion of global cultures with the preservation of its indigenous values. It underscores the need for cultural sensitivity training for educators and digital inclusivity initiatives to ensure equitable access to educational resources. The integration of global technology and curriculum adjustments in Samoa echoes global trends while demanding periodic reviews rooted in local contexts. Pedagogical shifts towards collaborative learning and critical thinking align with UNESCO’s (2017), global guidelines but must be tailored to honor the Pacific’s socio-cultural fabric. Varied stakeholder perceptions reveal the complexity of globalization’s impact, emphasizing the importance of ongoing dialogue and collaboration to create an education system that is both globally accustomed and locally relevant. In essence, Samoa’s educational journey in the age of globalization is a testament to its adaptability and resilience, offering a blueprint for navigating the complex forces of global change while preserving its rich cultural heritage.

This article discusses Fagogo (story telling at night) in the Samoan context and authors assessment and evaluation of the tool, its significance, appropriateness and applicability to classroom teaching and student interaction. In relation to ‘Fagogo a few publications had widely researched this tool from a Samoan perspective. Few Samoan academics highlighted Fagogo in their writings and research, but I have drawn from the available literature and my own experience as a Samoan raised within the context of Fagogo in the Samoan culture.Freire (1970, 1987) and Skutnabb-Kangas (2000) have provided the lens through which people and students of indigenous cultures are inspired to have strength and faith in their own language and culture to equip them in combatting obstacles and barriers they face in education and survival. Both authors remind people to take pride in one’s identity and be empowered through one’s knowledge and understanding of one’s own language and culture. Freire’s (1978) work in Chile and Brazil became extremely influential in the lives of the landless people. Samoans have drawn from his ideas to better understand the importance of not devaluing one’s heritage, language, and the culture but to seek the removal of the source of disempowerment knowledge and strength.

Problem solving is a crucial skill for students who experience learning and living in the 21st century. To enhance this skill, students need to face a situation setting problem, then students solve the problem. The 2018 general education curriculum has been developed according to the competency approach. As a result, the instructions and assessment system need to be adapted to align with requirements in the new curriculum. The purpose of present study is to develop and validate the problem solving competency (PSC) instrument based on general requirements of this competency in the general education curriculum in Vietnam. The results of Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) show that the instruments can be divided into three different components with good factor loadings to measure problem solving competency of Vietnamese students. The instrument is reliable and valid. Reliability analysis using Cronbach’s alpha revealed satisfactory internal consistency for each factor, with values ranging from .670 to .812.
