Current state and silvicultural and reclamation efficiency coniferous field-protective forest belts of the Khakass anti-erosion station 哈卡斯防侵蚀站针叶林野外防护林带的现状、造林和开垦效率

Field-protective forest strips are the basis of the ecological framework of agricultural territories. Siberian larch (Larix sibirica Ledeb.), Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) are the main tree species used in field-protective afforestation of the Shirinskaya steppe of the Republic of Khakassia. The studies were carried out in forest belts consisting of coniferous tree species of ordinary and staggered planting methods. Here, using modern techniques, temporary trial plots were laid. The aim of the work was to study the current state of forest belts, consisting of coniferous tree species, and their silvicultural and reclamation efficiency in the area where the Khakass anti-erosion station is located. The features of the sanitary condition and silvicultural and reclamation efficiency of forest stands on trial plots are analyzed depending on the planting methods growing on different types of soils. It has been established that a good and satisfactory condition of trees (1.0-1.2 points) and the highest silvicultural and reclamation score (5a) 34-55 years after planting are observed in larch forest belts with a rare staggered arrangement of trees growing on the southern and ordinary chernozems. The unsatisfactory condition of the trees (2.3-3.0 points) and the reduced silvicultural and reclamation assessment (4a) 55-58 years after planting are noted in pine and larch forest belts with rows of trees growing on chernozem-like sandy loamy soil and southern medium loamy chernozem. These features must be taken into account when designing a new generation of coniferous forest belts in other areas of the Khakass anti-erosion station, where they have not been created before. Measures have been planned to extend the service life of the steppe coniferous field-protective forest belts in the near future.

Morphological and phylogenetic analysis of Erythronium (Liliaceae) species in Southern Siberia 南西伯利亚 Erythronium(百合科)物种的形态学和系统发育分析

This study presents morphological and phylogenetic analyses of 3 species of Erythronium growing in the mountains of Southern Siberia. Species are Erythronium sibiricum (Fisch. et Mey) Krylov, E. sajanense Stepanov et Stassova, E. sulevii (Ruksans) Stepanov. According to the morphological parameters of the species, E. sajanense shows the clearest isolation, characterized by small peduncles; awl-shaped staminate filaments, sharply narrowing at the base; a more compact stigma of the pistil; the color of the perianth petals. According to the principal component analysis, E. sajanense separates from the other two species. Phylogenetic analysis was based on sequencing chloroplast genes matK, rbcL and the nuclear marker ITS (ITS1-5.8S rDNA-ITS2). The phylogenetic trees show a clear division of the species of Erythronium into the Eurasian and East-North American groups. The maximum number of nucleotide substitutions was noted for E. sajanense, whereas E. sibiricum and E. sulevii show greater genetic similarity. The most informative markers for the identification of Erythronium species are ITS regions characterized by a high level of variability between individual species.

The article presents the results of assessing the introduction prospects of flower and ornamental plants in the conditions of the Karshi oasis. 12 introduced species and varieties from the Caribbean floristic region were taken as objects of study. Taking into account the climatic conditions of the Karshi oasis, some additions to the modified scale of N. S. Danilova are proposed. As a result of the assessment, 2 groups were distinguished: Group I - promising plants -which received 11 points each - Canna х hybrida, Cleome spinosa, Cosmos bipinnatus, C. sulphureus, Mirabilis jalapa; Group II - medium promising plants - 8-9 points - Ageratum houstonianum, Dahlia х hortensis, Gomphrena globosa, Tagetes erecta, T. patula, Zinnia marylandica, Z. linearis.

Rare plant communities in forest-steppe zone of the Priobskoe plateau 普里奥布斯科伊高原森林草原地带的珍稀植物群落

Natural vegetation of the Western Siberia forest-steppe zone has changed dramatically under the anthropogenic pressure. The inventory for well-preserved vegetation massifs is essential for conservation of ecosystem diversity. The main goal of the study was to reveal rare and endangered plant species and communities in the forest-steppe zone of the Priobskoe Plateau. We selected 811 releves from database of Central Siberian Botanical Garden SB RAS in program IBIS 7.2 according criteria used in “Green Book of Siberia”. Rare plant communities were selected from the dataset. Their distribution is shown on maps prepared using QGIS 2.18.28. Rare communities are steppes dominated by Stipa zalesskii, Stipa lessingiana, Psathyrostachys juncea, Stipa borysthenica. They belong to the order Helictotricho-Stipetalia (class Festuco-Brometea). The pine (Pinus sylvestris) forest strips represent native vegetation and provide habitat for endangered plants. The class Pyrolo-Pinetea unites rare xero-psammophytic forests with lichens and sedges. Endemic intrazonal vegetation is represented by communities dominated by Puccinellia kulundensis and solonchak meadows with Orchis militaris and Fritillaria meleagroides (order Scorzonero-Juncetalia gerardii, class Festuco-Puccinellietea). All presented communities are vulnerable and require in accurate conservation actions.

The experience of the primary introduction of Fritillaria karelinii in the Main botanical garden of Almaty 阿拉木图主植物园初次引进 Fritillaria karelinii 的经验

Botanical gardens play an important role in the study and conservation of plant genetic resources where the biological features and adaptive capabilities of the biomorphological diversity of the involved plant species are studied for the subsequent prediction of the success of their introduction. The object of research was the early flowering bulbous ephemeroid of the desert territories of southern Russia, Central and Central Asia Fritillaria karelinii (Fisch. ex D. Don) Baker (syn. Rhinopetalum karelinii Fisch. ex D. Don). Due to hard harvesting of the species in the territory of Kazakhstan, exported to China where Fritillaria karelinii bulbs are used in Chinese medicine, there was a real need to study the features and methods of growing this species in culture. In carrying out the research, generally accepted methods of introducing herbaceous plants were used. An analysis of literary sources showed the availability of limited information on the cultivation of the species in Russia and neighboring countries. We studied the introduction populations of Fritillaria karelinii attracted in different years from places of natural growth in the south-east of Kazakhstan. When introduced in the Main Botanical Garden of the Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction (Almaty), the regrowth of the species begins in early March, 1-3 days after the snow cover melts. Flowering of the species in different years and in different populations begins in the first half of April, approximately 20 days after regrowth. The capsule is formed immediately after the flowering of the flower, the seeds ripen 40-50 days after flowering. The duration of the growing season of the species is 60-70 days. Attempts at seed propagation of Fritillaria karelinii undertaken by seeds from natural populations in autumn and spring did not give positive results. There is a clear trend towards a decrease in the total number and generative function of the introductory population as early as 2-3 years after its formation. The survival rate of the material depends both on the quality of the planted bulbs and the timing of their digging in natural populations.

Information about composition of the alien fraction of the flora of Baikal Siberia (BS) is given, which includes 465 species and subspecies of alien plants belonging to 282 genera and 70 families. At the same time, the same number of alien species were noted in the Irkutsk region (IO) as in the Republic of Buryatia (RB) and Zabaikalsky krai (ZK) combined. Alien plants are extremely unevenly distributed over the territory of the BS, in some areas (the north of the RB and ZK) information on the location of adventitious species is completely absent. In terms of the number of recorded adventitious species and the number of observations of them, the area Pyu 5 is the leader on the territory of which there is a large transport hub - the city of Irkutsk. The floristic data on the occurrence and distribution of alien plant species in the BS regions were updated and detailed by floristic regions according to the literature data and using the portals GBIF. org (iNaturalist Research-grade Observation), iNaturalist.org. It was found that the division of the floristic regions of the BS according to the alien element of vascular flora occurred more in the longitudinal than in the latitudinal directions, similar western regions of the Irkutsk region and eastern regions of the Republic of Belarus and West Kazakhstan were distinguished. A cluster of similarities between floristic regions of the BS was built according to the adventitious flora element.

Based on analysis of the plant macrofossil composition in the peat deposits, we can identify the environments these plants were formed and developed. This paper is aimed at a detailed study of the macrofossil assemblages from the peat deposits in the Wittgirrensky peatland, which is a study site of the Rossyanka Carbon Polygon in the Kaliningrad Region. The conclusions of the study may contribute to the general insight into the mire flora development in the SouthEastern Baltic region. In total, 85 types of plant and animal macroremains were found in the peat and gyttja samples from the Wittgirrensky peatland, representing 39 different taxonomic groups, which were combined into 6 main macrofossil assemblage zones: 1) Salix-Phragmites, 2) Carex-Drepanocladus, 3) Pinus-Ericaceae, 4) Sphagnum magellanicum, 5) Sphagnum fuscum, 6) Sphagnum-Ericaceae.

To the ecology of a new species Juglans from Primorsky krai 滨海边疆区新物种 Juglans 的生态学

This paper describes the ecology of a new species of walnut (Juglans) from Primorsky Krai. Critical features of morphology, biology and distribution are given, its contrast with J. mandshurica is substantiated, it is indicated that J. pseudoailanthifolia Urussov, Lobanova, sp. nov. is promising for introduction into landscape plantings on the shores of Primorye, the Tatar Strait (Khabarovsk Territory, Sakhalin Region) and the North-West of Russia. The range of the genus Juglans in Primorye and the Far East (FER) as a whole, as well as in the RFE, has been specified. A comparative characteristic of the morphological and biological features of the newly discovered species with other types of nuts of the Far East was carried out. The hereditary stability of critical traits is substantiated in the systematic and ecological-phytocenotic terms. Biology and economic importance are analyzed and it is proposed to use the species as a genetic and introduction material. The general range of nuts of the Far East was determined as a result of adaptation to the macroclimates of the Paleogene and Neogene.

Based on the authors’ fieldwork in 1976-2022 and herbarium funds from the river Chulyshman, stored in the Central Chernozem Reserve, the second part of the information (Magnoliophyta: Liliopsida, including the Poaceae Barnhart family) is given on new and rare species of vascular plants for this territory. New localities of 9 plant species from the Red Data Book of the Russian Federation and the Red Data Book of the Altai Republic (Allium altaicum, Cypripedium calceolus, C. macranthon, Dactylorhiza fuchsii, Orchis militaris, Platanthera bifolia, Tulotis fuscescens, Stipa pennata, S. rubens) are presented; of these, 8 species were recorded within the forest-steppe territory of the Altai Reserve (all species except Stipa rubens) and 3 species in the Ak Cholushpa Natura Park (Dactylorhiza fuchsii, Orchis militaris, Platanthera bifolia). For the modern territory of the Altai Reserve, 5 additional species are indicated (Dactylorhiza incarnata, Achnatherum splendens, Leymus ovatus, L. paboanus, L. tuvinicus), for the forest-steppe valley of Chulyshman -7 species (Lemna trisulca, Achnatherum confusum, Catabrosa aquatica, Leymus chinensis, L. pubescens, Poa trivialis, Stipa kirghisorum). 2 species (Asparagus tamariscinus, Stipa kirghisorum) are recommended for inclusion to the Red Data Book of the Altai Republic.
