This article explores the critical role of leadership styles in successfully implementing change during and after a crisis. It begins with the assumption that the leaders’ capability to navigate the unique challenges associated with each period is a crucial factor in achieving successful change outcomes. Considering the continuous and unpredictable nature of global challenges such as Covid-19, war, and climate change, along with the specific leadership skills required to address crisis-related challenges, the article aims to address two key questions: Firstly, which leadership style is most effective in implementing change during crisis management? Secondly, which leadership style is most effective in implementing change in the aftermath of a crisis? Through a theoretical exploration drawing on existing literature and frameworks, the article identifies essential leadership behaviors, strategies, and challenges associated with change implementation during and after crises. The research findings provide valuable insights for leaders and organizations under-taking change initiatives triggered by crises, highlighting the significance of leadership styles in driving successful outcomes during and after a crisis. By understanding and leveraging appropriate leadership styles, organizations can enhance their ability to navigate change and achieve resilience in the aftermath of a crisis.

The present study examines the impact of the national culture on the country-level governance efficiency index. The dimensions of culture as an independent variable is measured using three different cultural frameworks: Hofstede, Globe and Trompenaar. Based on a secondary data collection, the governance efficien - cy is the dependent variable adopted in the analysis. As the current study is examining whether the national culture has an impact on the governance efficiency index, it is an attempt to understand the determinants of governance. An empirical study was conducted on data involving 177 different countries with different level of incomes. The analysis adopted is the linear regression to test the relationship between the independent and dependent variables and the machine learning models to classify data based on models which have been developed, the other purpose is to find out the best model for predicting the future outcomes. The paper at the end concluded with a discussion of some of the theoretical and practical implications from the results of the empirical study of governance in a number of different countries. It brings a valuable insight into a previously undocumented area of research stressing on the importance of national culture as an important factor and determinant for a better country-level governance

The purpose of the study is to investigate antecedents and consequences of well-being. The study was conducted in the Saudi labour market in both the public and private sectors. A web-based questionnaire with 250 respondents was used to collect data for the study samples. SPSS and AMOS were used for statistical and path analysis, respectively. The study results clearly show that (1) there is a positive relationship between person-organization fit and well-being, (2) there is a strong correlation between person-organization fit and loyalty, (3) work-life balance has a significant positive relationship with well-being, (4) work-life balance is positively connected to employee loyalty, (5) work-life balance has a great effect on retention, (6) well-being has a positive relationship with loyalty, and, finally, (7) there is a relationship between loyalty and retention. These findings indicate that employee well-being may increase if workers feel they fit with their organizations and are provided with work-life balance programmes, which will ultimately lead to employee loyalty and increase employee retention in organizations. This research is distinct from prior investigations as it utilizes a model that has not been previously examined within the Saudi workplace. By assuring organizational support and implementing certain human resource management practices, the study provides managers with valuable suggestions on how to increase employee loyalty and well-being, which will ultimately lead to a higher retention rate. Thus, it has practical implications in human resource management and adds to the administrative literature on social exchange theory.

Purpose: The purpose of the paper is to investigate the impact of the key competitive forces which are the intensity of rivalry, bargaining power of suppliers, bargaining power of buyers, Government regulations, and Technology forces on the differentiation strategy in the Egyptian national universities considering the mediation effect of market orientation. Design/methodology/approach: This paper used a quantitative research design. The census method was adopted. A self-administered questionnaire was developed to collect data from all academics and administrators who hold leadership positions at the four main Egyptian national universities namely: Elgala - la, International King Salman, Elmansora, Elgededa and Elaalameen , Egededa. Data was analyzed through SPSS-Statistics software 23.0 versions and Amos Application-25. Findings: The findings of this research indicated that the direct impact of the intensity of rivalry, the bar-gaining power of suppliers and the technology force on the differentiation strategy have been proved while it was not confirmed for the bargaining power of buyers and the government regulations indicating the importance of the mediating variable which is market orientation in enhancing this relationship. Originality/value: This study is the first to look at the relationship between the key competitive forces and the differentiation strategy whether directly or indirectly by mediating market orientation in the higher education industry in both Egypt and the Arab region.
