ABSTRACT Using item response theory, we examined the psychometric properties of scores on the Trauma-Informed Practice Scales – Supervision Version (TIPS-SV) – a unidimensional measure of supervisees’ perceptions of their supervisors’ adherence to trauma-informed supervision – in a sample of 312 supervisees. Implications for research and supervision practice are discussed.

Abstract The study evaluated the psychometrics of a newly developed scale that measures the perceived familial stigma of LGBQ-sexuality. Exploratory, confirmatory, bifactor, and omega reliability analyses were conducted on a set of items and suggest these scores reliably measure the intended construct, with specific factors of homonegativity, discretion, and familial customs.

The Development and Validation of the Community-Based Participatory Research Knowledge Self-Assessment Scale (CBPR-KSAS): A Rasch Analysis 基于社区的参与式研究知识自评量表(CBPR-KSAS)的开发与验证:Rasch分析

Abstract Community-based participatory research (CBPR) is an emerging research approach with the aim of increasing sampling of diverse populations in studies. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of scores on the CBPR Knowledge Self-Assessment Scale (CBPR-KSAS) using Rasch analysis. The scale was completed by 204 participants. The data fit the Rasch model well, were sufficiently reliable and unidimensional, and separated the respondents into four statistically distinguishable groups. The item hierarchy was partially supported theoretically by distinguishing the lower, middle, and upper ends of CBPR knowledge competencies. These results provide empirical support that CBPR knowledge can be conceptualized and measured on a meaningful continuum.

Abstract We examined the replicability of the 61-item EcoWellness Inventory (EI-61; Reese et al., 2015) and the factor structure of a brief form (i.e., EI-15). The EI-15 demonstrated excellent model fit and initial convergent validity evidence. The inventory serves as a potentially useful tool for assessing ecowellness in professional counseling practice and research.

Abstract The current study examined the measurement invariance (MI) of the Georgia Brief School Climate Inventory (GaBSCI) with a rural and predominately Hispanic sample (N = 413). The results present support for the one-factor structure and MI of the GaBSCI across genders and Spanish-speaking groups, but only partially for different school levels.

Abstract Results from a study (n = 1,005) using the School Counselor Self-Efficacy Scale (SCSE) and subsequent psychometric synthesis of 12 SCSE studies were presented. Aggregated total scale α was .96 (subscale αs ranged from .72 to .90). Structural models fitted to the data provided evidence of good fit for both 4- and 5-factor models.

Abstract The measurement of sensation seeking has been mired in controversy since Zukerman defined it. The sensation seeking personality trait (SSPT) eliminates many of the psychometric issues found in previous scales and may allow researchers to better understand the role of sensation seeking in the engagement in health risk behaviors.

Abstract The Fear of COVID-19 Familial Infection (FCFI) scale examines parents’ fear levels of infecting their families with COVID-19. Principle component analysis and confirmatory factor analysis in a sample of parents (N = 582) revealed two factors: Fear of infecting others and Others’ Fear of being infected by me.

Abstract We examined the psychometric properties of the 15-item Multidimensional Existential Meaning Scale (MEMS) scores in three different samples of students, adults, and patients with chronic illness. Confirmatory factor analysis and item response theory-based results provided some support for the tripartite model. Additionally, individual subscales (i.e., comprehension, purpose, mattering) were reasonably recovered.

Abstract Using cross-cultural data (n Taiwan = 394 and n U.S. = 246), we tested psychological individuation constructs for measurement and functional invariance. Scalar and partial metric invariance held for psychological independence and dysfunctional individuation, respectively. Most associations with mental illness appeared functionally invariant while most associations with substance use were U.S. specific.
