It is true that a few years ago no one imagined the importance that the functions of the human resources department would have for the overall development and progress of a business. In the year 2022 we are now talking about the mutation of the Human Resource Management Department, and we are talking about the strategic HRM. On the other hand, the economic crisis and the intense competitive environment has created the need for companies to readjust their activities and even their goals so that they can meet the ever-increasing needs of the business environment. The object of the study is the economic methodology, and the subject is the change in it at the different stages of technological development. The goal is to reveal the reasons for this change, and the task is to justify the need for a new revision in the methodology given the next technological stage related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. A historical approach is applied, through which an attempt is made to reveal the historical change in economic methodology, and then a systemic approach, which aims to reveal the causal relationship between crises, industrial revolutions and changes in economic reality, leading at each subsequent stage to changes in the methodology of economic science and to new economic paradigms. This approach determines the structure of the study, which investigates the changes in economic methodologies at the pre-industrial stage and then during the different industrial revolutions leading to the emergence of different economic methodologies and theories. The conclusion is that, in the midst of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, we are observing changes in economic reality that can hardly be described, understood, predicted through the existing methodologies and the theories behind them, which necessitates a new rethinking of the economic methodology. The study is the first large-scale attempt in our country to analyze these processes and sets important lines of thinking in this regard.

Nurse’s profession trends are counted a lot of them, but some of the most important are nursing shortage, retention, and job satisfaction which are different in several countries. We have to say that the 4Ps approach and the nursing profession are well connected and can improve each health organization and nursing profession like other professions. Internal marketing and nurses' job satisfaction are new trends but very important so we cannot be faced with a turnover of the health workforce in our countries. In the end, we can conclude that marketing is very important for nurses and is not vulgar commercialism. This approach is related mostly to the 4ps approach and internal marketing, especially with the job satisfaction of nurses.

The study presents opinions on the nature of the accounting system. The objective connection of the accounting system with the economic reality differentiates its functioning model. In the historical development of Bulgaria, three models of the accounting system have been formed. The study presents the creation of accounting information on non-current assets in the period after the Liberation until today in a methodological aspect. The economic operations for their acquisition, depreciation, sale, restoration, maintenance and operation are considered. A comparative analysis was made with the current methodology for accounting of non-current assets, according to the National Accounting Standards. The result is established similarities and partial differences in the applied approaches in the accounting interpretation of non-current assets of the enterprise.

In response to the military aggression against Ukraine the European countries undertook fast and decisive steps by implementing restrictive measures and imposing sanctions targeting Russia. An important part of these sanctions is in the energy sector. The policy of imposing sanctions adopted by the EU and its allies is the key instrument for pursuing a common foreign and security policy. The imposition of sanctions is an attempt to respond adequately to the challenges resulting from the policy conducted by Russia in the energy sector that has consistently been using the energy supplies for the European countries as a means of exerting pressure and posing risks for their energy security. The aim of the current economic sanctions is to have a negative impact on the Russian economy and efficiently obstruct its capacity to proceed with the aggression. To shed further light on the matter an evaluation of the research conducted with respect to the efficiency of the sanctions implemented against Russia in 2014 is presented. The article introduces a forecast and information about the effect of the sanctions imposed on the energy supplies from Russia. An analysis of the reasons leading to the so far unsatisfactory results is made. In conclusion some requirements and recommendations for the implementation of the future policy of sanctions imposed by the European Union are defined.

The attitudes of children and young people towards democracy define their participation in the social and political life, as well as their participation in the development of the public understanding of the democracy overall. Despite the fact that the children and young people between 15 and 24 are barely 10% from the Bulgarian population, their participation has a key influence on the national progress and the political processes. In the past years a low level of interest and participation in the democratic processes of the lower age groups is observed. This is the focus of the research, which uses data from the 10th edition of the European Social Survey for Bulgaria.

The freight railway transport has got an important role in the national transport system, carrying out the movement of goods on medium length and long distances, where the passenger railway transport not only fulfils the purely commercial transportation side but it also has a social function supplying to the population access to social transportation services. In the current research is analysed the development of the freight and passenger railway carriage in Bulgaria for the period of 2011 – 2020. The period reviewed starts with the years of recovery of the economy of the country from the worldwide financial-economic crisis and ends with the entering into the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The main goal of the study is to follow the trends of the development of the freight and passenger railway transport and to determine how the occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic affected the railway transportation activities.

The subject of the study is an analysis of some provisions of the current legislation in the field of public procurement with a focus on the criteria for their award. As a result, some weaknesses in the national legislation have been identified, which are an obstacle to the implementation of measures financed through the Cohesion Fund (CF) of the European Union (EU) in the “Water” sector. The conclusions established during a comparative analysis against the applicable secondary law of the Union can serve as proposals for legislative amendments, since the identified imperfections have a negative impact not only on the sector, but also on the whole in the management of public resources in conditions of limitations on their size. In a practical aspect, the research aims (and the end result) to make a connection between gaps in the national regulatory framework regarding the awarding of contracts for public procurement and their influence regarding the state of operators in the “Water” sector, and in – broad aspect – the permanent impossibility of achieving compliance with EU law in the sector caused by them. Regarding the research methodology, methods such as analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, comparative analysis and comparison, and in cases where it is possible and applicable – empirical verification have been applied. In addition, processing of data acquired in the course of the research is applied (case law available).

Warehousing is an important logistics activity related to the management of material flows in the supply chain. To ensure this movement in the warehouses, it is necessary to perform a number of integrated warehouse processes. The order picking process is particularly the most significant, reflecting the whole logistics system. The purpose of the study is to analyze warehousing practices in this field and to define main conclusions. The work presents the results of a survey conducted among Bulgarian trade and manufacturing enterprises, and some of the order picking practices are studied. Based on the data, a number of conclusions are drawn about the practices, especially regarding the application of information systems and technologies. The main focus of the work is the differences between the trade and manufacturing enterprises, as well as their sizes. The main conclusions are related to the correct understanding of the importance of order picking processes and, at the same time, to the insufficient utilization of their potential.

This review includes the nature and characteristics of management control systems and these systems package, their place and their role in the organization. The analytical review comprises index publications in global databases such as ACM Digital Library, Elsevier, Scopus and Google Scholar. The toolkit covers induction and deduction methods, including analysis, synthesis and summaries. The results of the review of the management control systems concepts give grounds for concluding that these systems need modernizing by integrating additional elements into their composition. The following are the main directions of modernization and expansion: the monitoring of various psychological aspects of the employee, the construction of permanent communication channels and the development of a methodology for managing management control systems package.
