This study conducts a comprehensive comparative analysis of fast-cycle and long-term sustainability business models in the retail industry. Through a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative data, this research examines the key characteristics, underlying mechanisms, and impacts of these two contrasting models. The findings reveal stark differences in supply chain structures, design and production processes, marketing strategies, and consumer behavior. While fast-cycle models excel in speed, affordability, and trend responsiveness, they are associated with environmental degradation, ethical concerns, and a culture of disposability. Conversely, sustainable models prioritize ethical sourcing, environmental responsibility, and long-term value creation, but face challenges related to cost, scalability, and the need to balance timelessness with trend relevance. The implications for retailers, policymakers, and consumers are discussed, with a focus on the potential for hybrid models that combine elements of both approaches. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on sustainable business practices and provides valuable insights for retailers seeking to navigate the complex landscape of consumer preferences and sustainability demands.

This study explores the factors influencing Patin fish mortality in Malaysia's expanding aquaculture industry, which is crucial for meeting the rising global demand for fish and seafood. Analysing data from 135 fish farmers through SPSS Software, it finds significant correlations between mortality rates and variables like fish species, time until sale, and fish quantity per cage. At the same time, factors such as partnership numbers and feeding frequency have minimal impact. These results highlight the critical role of water quality management in fish health and production costs. The findings are vital for developing strategies to improve fish farming and water quality control in Malaysia, addressing the need to consider various factors to reduce fish mortality. Despite the significance of certain variables, the low adjusted R-squared value points to other yet unidentified factors affecting fish deaths, suggesting ongoing data collection and model refinement for stakeholders. This research contributes to understanding aquaculture costs and fish health, informing theories such as Interactive Governance Theory, Stress Response Theory, and Disease Ecology Theory and underscoring the importance of comprehensive strategies for sustainable aquaculture practices.

This review investigates the transformative impact of 5G technology on satellite communication, with a particular focus on the cybersecurity challenges introduced by this integration. An analysis of 50 rigorously selected scholarly articles demonstrates that 5G significantly enhances satellite communication by improving data transmission rates, reducing latency, and increasing network efficiency, thereby facilitating extended coverage that bridges the digital divide by delivering high-speed internet to remote areas. Additionally, 5G supports the deployment of new applications such as enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) and extensive Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity. However, this integration also introduces new cybersecurity challenges, such as increased vulnerability to cyber-attacks and the need for robust encryption methods to secure data transmissions. Technical issues like signal interference, regulatory hurdles involving spectrum sharing, and substantial economic investments for infrastructure development also pose significant challenges. These complexities require ongoing research and strategic planning to mitigate risks and fully harness the potential of 5G-enhanced satellite networks. The study highlights a paradigm shift in satellite communications, propelled by 5G's capabilities to create more inclusive, efficient, and secure global communication networks.

This paper explores the crucial role of privacy and ethics in Health Information Management Systems (HIMS), addressing the inherent challenges and presenting innovative solutions through detailed case studies. We examine the significant privacy concerns, such as data breaches and unauthorized data sharing, alongside ethical issues like informed consent and equitable access to technology. Effective solutions including the Privacy-Preserving Distributed Analytics (PPDA) model and proactive bioethics committees, as demonstrated by institutions like Vanderbilt University Medical Center, illustrate successful strategies for managing these concerns. The paper emphasizes the importance of prioritizing privacy and ethics not merely as compliance requirements but as foundational elements essential to the trustworthiness and effectiveness of HIMS. It advocates for a continuous, proactive approach to address these issues as technology evolves and regulations change. Furthermore, we call for a collaborative effort among policymakers, healthcare providers, technologists, and patients to develop and refine HIMS that uphold the highest standards of privacy, ethics, and accessibility, thus enhancing the quality of care and health outcomes for all stakeholders.

In the context of the rapidly evolving digital landscape, the banking sector faces unprecedented challenges in data security due to the massive volumes of sensitive information they manage. This paper examines the implementation and efficacy of innovative big data management techniques within global banking institutions to enhance data security. It discusses the integration of predictive analytics, the impact of regulatory changes, and the adoption of emerging technologies like blockchain and advanced encryption, which collectively redefine data security strategies. The study utilises a qualitative case study approach focusing on three central banks—JPMorgan Chase & Co., HSBC Holdings plc, and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China—highlighting how each bank utilises big data techniques to address specific security challenges, comply with regulations, and enhance customer trust. The findings underscore the crucial role of innovative data management strategies in mitigating risks and safeguarding data against cyber threats, suggesting that these technologies fulfil security needs and offer competitive advantages in customer trust and regulatory compliance. The paper concludes with strategic recommendations for banks to enhance their data security measures and suggests directions for future research in data security within the banking industry.

Health Information Systems (HIS) are increasingly pivotal in transforming healthcare delivery globally. This paper explores the dual aspects of HIS: the innovative potentials and the challenges they present. We discuss how HIS enhance healthcare management through streamlined data integration, improved diagnostic accuracy, and personalized treatment plans. Despite these benefits, significant challenges such as data security, interoperability, and equitable access persist, posing barriers to the effective implementation of these systems. Through a systematic review of the literature, this study highlights the need for tailored solutions that address these challenges and underscores the importance of collaborative efforts among stakeholders to optimize the use of HIS. We also propose future research directions focused on improving the functionality and inclusivity of HIS to meet global health needs better. The findings suggest that while HIS hold transformative potential, their success is contingent upon overcoming existing hurdles and enhancing system capabilities to support comprehensive health management.

The acceleration of digital transformation in financial management necessitates an examination of the interplay between cloud security and strategic accounting, especially concerning business sustainability. This study conducts a qualitative analysis, employing semi-structured interviews and case studies, to explore the integration of cloud security measures with strategic accounting practices. The findings reveal a significant shift in organisational strategies, where cloud security is no longer seen merely as a defence mechanism but as a crucial enabler of sustainable business practices. Enhanced transparency and accountability stemming from secure cloud platforms are key to building stakeholder trust and meeting compliance. Despite persistent concerns over cyber threats, a growing trend towards adopting comprehensive cloud security strategies underpin strategic accounting efforts, highlighting a proactive stance in addressing potential risks. This study contributes to the literature by offering a nuanced understanding of how cloud security and strategic accounting coalesce to support sustainability, illustrating this integration's complexities and strategic imperatives.
