: This paper investigates the use of contactless power ultrasonic excitation to decrease the electrical impedance of the weld in laser welding. The literature extensively documents the impact of employing contact power ultrasonic excitation on the microstructure morphology and refinement of grain in the weld. This study involves characterising an industrial High Power Ultrasound Transducer (HPUT) by determining the optimal distance and angle for contactless excitation of the fusion zone in the weld, aiming to achieve the maximum amplitude. Subsequently, the transducer is integrated into the laser welding system, resulting in the creation of an ultra-sonic-assisted welding system. To find the improvement due to the contactless vibration assistance, the welding area was characterised by an impedance ohmmeter device. The results indicate an approximately 6 % improvement in the welding quality in terms of the impedance value, an important parameter for battery pack welding. In response to the issue of overheating in the industrial transducer during prolonged welding operations, an alternative transducer was proposed to overcome this challenge. Further investigations are carried out by the alternative transducer to find the effect of different wave types, namely, shear and compressional waves, on the welding quality. The contact vibration can excite the plate approximately 50 times higher in acceleration amplitude than contactless excitation. Nevertheless, enhancements of 10% and 6% are observed in the impedance value when utilising compressional and shear waves, respectively, as compared to the results obtained with contactless vibration.

: Capnography, measured respired carbon dioxide in human respiration, is showing promising use in various areas of medicine, including monitoring of airway patency, quality of CPR efforts, and as indicators of abnormal gas exchange. The quantitative characterization of the carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) waveforms has potentially been shown to indicate changes in respiratory airflow, which may be clinical use in discriminating asthmatic severity. The potential clinical application must be evaluated by identifying CO 2 waveform indices which change significantly during an acute asthmatic attack . Hence, we aim to assess the CO 2 waveform indices (Area and Slope), extracted computationally from three different regions, upward expiratory (4-10 mmHg and 11-15 mmHg) and alveolar phase during pre-and post-treatment using newly developed human respiration, carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) measurement device. We recruited 23 asthmatic patients via convenience sampling method. A signal processing algorithm was applied for automatic segmentation and feature computations, and a paired sample t-test, and Box-whisker plot was performed to know the significant difference of features during the pre-and -post intervention. We found that both the parameters (Area and Slope) were most notable for lower part of expiratory phase (4-10 mmHg, p<0.05), followed by the alveolar period (p<0.05), while upper part of upward expiratory phase (11-15 mmHg) was insignificant for Area (p > 0.05) and significant for slope (p < 0.05). Thus, the inclusion of the features above into the lately developed device may have the potential for the assessment of respiratory distress conditions like asthma in and out of clinical settings as a patient-independent method.

: The search for the most effective data governance model has become an urgent issue all over the world, including the European Union. The need for compliance with privacy rights, at the same time reasonable openness of data, pose a difficult task for policy-makers. This article discusses data ownership as one of the previously much discussed potential data governance model. The article gives the reasons why the hopes of effective functioning were placed on this approach, as well as an explanation of why these expectations were not met. The rejection of the concept of data ownership led to the search for other data governance models, some of them are proposed in the third section of this article. To date, the European Union adheres to alternative data governance options, which are also mentioned in this paper.

: In the greenhouse experiment tobacco plants were treated with heavy metals (Zn, Cu, Ni, Pb and Cd) to estimate changes of polyphenols and flavonoids levels. Increasing levels of heavy metals (till to ten fold of soil limit values of metals) were applied experimental soil have increased heavy metal contents of plant. In particular, tobacco plant has absorbed Ni and Cd metals at relatively high levels. Dry matter amounts of plant were not changed by treatments. Tobacco plant grown in soil treated with high levels of heavy metals in the experiment produced a high biomass in the short vegetation period and did not show phytotoxicity even at the highest metal levels. Heavy metals applied to the soil increased the total polyphenols and flavonoid amounts in the tobacco plant. Increase in the polyphenol and flavonoid content of tobaco was more pronounced in the Ni, Pb and Cd metal applications. Research findings showed that tobacco plant is well adapted to heavy metal stress conditions with high phenolic substance production.

: This research is a part of multi-year research, which was started last year by conducting some studies, either literature or simulation, for the fuzzy logic approach used as a decision maker. In supporting the primary research of designing a heritage trail within a heritage city, particularly the heritage city of Parakan, Central Java, Indonesia, this research was also delivering the analysis of preferences through the community to designate the appropriate and preferred starting point for the trail within the historical area of the Heritage City of Parakan. By using fuzzy logic, this research has analyzed the relevant starting point of the trail within the historical area of a Heritage City of Parakan. It has been proposed, together with another study result, to be a good design. Thus, this research has completed some of the basic principles of the fuzzy logic approach to decide the appropriate and preferred starting point of the trail within the historical area of Parakan.

Technological, economic and other innovation-related advances of the 21st century have influenced the old, traditional business models. Presently, organizational change has become an integral part of corporate strategy for the majority of businesses. Such shifts have resulted in both new challenges and opportunities. The expansion of the use of information and communication technologies has driven fundamental shifts towards digital change. Organizations are being forced to revise processes, goals and overall mission in order to stay competitive in the marketplace. However, the implementation of digital transformation brings uncertainty, causes stress and raises concerns about future jobs. The study employs a literature review to fill the gap in understanding the relationship between employee intrinsic motivation and affective commitment during the transformation. A conceptual model proposes the antecedents of employee motivation (Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Leader Member Exchange) and investigates its impact on employee commitment to change. The utilized model elucidates how to maintain employee intrinsic motivation and affective commitment in the context of organizational transformation and sets the ground for future research.

: Nabkha is a geomorphology phenomenon that represents accumulations of sand by the wind around the plant and spread in the north of Kuwait Bay and in the coastal part of the Sabah Al-Ahmad Natural Resort in Jal -alzour. Nabkha is the largest coastal plant in Kuwait around Nitraria Retusa has been observed that these plants vary in their ability to grow and live in the Sabkha area. Two wells were drilled on the top of the group of Nabkha, and the second was at the level of Sabkha through a scientific project earlier. these well were monitored and analysed for PH and the total dissolved solids (TDS). The aim of this study was to evaluate the characteristics of acidity and chemical characteristics with the time of water samples in wells. The analysis of two wells, Sabkha and Nabkha, in northern Kuwait Bay were compared with the results of studies that have taken place around the plant in the years from 2005 to 2007. The study concludes there is variation in total dissolved solids in the Nabkha and Sabkha wells due to the nature of the plant (Nitraria retusa), which increases the lens underground to collect the water during the flood and rain seasons to use it during the drought period.
