As classrooms grow increasingly diverse, cross-cultural competence (CCC) becomes imperative for pre-service teachers to create inclusive, equitable learning environments. Hence, this study focuses on developing a cross-cultural competence scale specifically for pre-service teachers that highlights the dynamic nature of education and the need to foster inclusivity amid increasing classroom diversity, aiming to address gaps concerning assessment tools dedicated explicitly for pre-service teachers. Exploratory factor analysis of an initial 29-item scale assessing knowledge, teaching flexibility, willingness to engage students, and cultural empathy administered to 109 Filipino pre-service teachers' responses ultimately yielded a 22-item, two-factor structure with sound psychometric properties: "Attitudes Toward Culturally Diverse Students" and "Cultural Knowledge and Teaching Flexibility." The factors align well with the conceptual domains of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning. This research significantly contributes a contextualized CCC instrument that enhances multicultural education and evaluates pre-service teachers' readiness for diverse classrooms, aligning with the educational dynamic imperative. In summary, this research makes an invaluable contribution to teacher training and multicultural education by developing a targeted and rigorously validated assessment tool.

This article aims to develop a model of the therapeutic alliance for psychotherapy guided by the concepts of Loob, Pakikibahagi ng Loob, and the framework offered by the Shared Reality Model. The conceptualization is anchored on data from a qualitative survey with 15 Filipino client-therapist dyads living in the Philippines. In the proposed model, client-therapist dynamics are viewed under two levels of analyses: (a) intrapersonal level (inner world or katangiang panloob) – that includes clients’ and therapists’ personality, values, and beliefs; (b) interpersonal level (relational world or ugnayang panloob) – that encapsulates the client-therapist relationship known as the therapeutic alliance. The model hypothesizes that a shared reality (pakikibahagi) in the form of shared inner world (pakikibahagi ng katangiang panloob) and shared relational world (pakikibahagi ng ugnayang panloob) contribute to psychological well-being. Implications for clinical practice, Sikolohiyang Pilipino theorizing, and directions for further research are explored in this paper.

A student should understand and uphold the greatest moral and ethical standards in their community and society through education. The student will eventually intuitively acquire these moral and ethical principles from schools and universities. This research explores the impact of four personal values (openness to change, self-transcendence, conservation, and self-enhancement) on the ethical behavior of undergraduate students in Oman. The study used a quantitative methodology, analyzing data from a questionnaire using descriptive statistics. Data was submitted by Omani university students in the Ad Dakhlia region of Oman. One hundred seventy-nine undergraduate students were chosen using simple random techniques. Partial least squares (PLS) techniques and structural equation modeling were employed in the study to evaluate the research variables. The results showed that ethical training and self-transcendence significantly affect students' moral behavior. However, personal values such as conservation, openness to change, and self-enhancement have no significant effect on students' ethical behavior. Integrating ethics education into curricula could foster integrity. It can be concluded that the significance of moral principles and practical applications-focused ethics education programs—especially those that emphasize self-transcendence—is imperative. Potential outcomes of this research include increased moral behavior among Oman's students through effective moral education and awareness of ethical principles to support moral decision-making in various cultural circumstances. This article makes both theoretical and practical contributions. In particular, support HEIs in developing customized ethics education programs for Oman. Theoretically, highlighting ethical education and principles like self-transcendence helps to understand critical ethical factors and directs future research at this connection.

In the realm of contemporary culture, fandom, particularly among the youth, has become a focal point due to its participatory nature, fostering active engagement and creative expression. Coined by Henry Jenkins in 1992, fan culture, or "Textual Poaching," highlights fans' dual roles as consumers and creators within various media landscapes. This research investigates the engagement patterns of Filipino college students within their respective fandoms, employing Jenkins' framework of participatory culture as a theoretical scaffold. Utilizing a qualitative methodology, the study scrutinized 175 student artifacts to elucidate how members of fandoms articulate their affiliations and negotiate communal dynamics. Findings suggest students' decisions to affiliate with particular fandoms depend on their immediate needs, interests, and social standing. Fandoms centered around online gaming, entertainment media, and cinematic or televisual narratives are deemed valuable by students, providing inclusive spaces for social interaction, and constructing personal identity.

This paper presents a proposed process of making Philippine Holy Week sacred images from clay, plaster, and paper fiber instead of the more precious wood from the country's shrinking forests. This paper theoretically established the durability of the product and environmental soundness of this alternative process compared to the traditional wood carving or the more recent resin casting by thoroughly describing this alternative process by understanding the notion of durability based on the traditionally preferred woods among santeros, by understanding the conservation status of these preferred woods, and by undertaking comparative calculations of the environmental impacts of the productions of the three current alternatives. This paper is significant because it proposes a sustainable way of assuring the continued existence of the Filipino cultural tradition of making and presenting Holy Week images.

The relevance of accessing care and support has been found to be valuable in sustaining well-being among adolescents. However, only a few studies have been conducted to understand the online help-seeking behaviors of middle adolescent students whose mothers work abroad. Thus, the study aimed to uncover the nature of online help-seeking behaviors and explore the facilitators and barriers to these behaviors. Ten (10) middle adolescent students were interviewed, and their experiences revealed several key themes using the phenomenological method. The findings revealed that the online help-seeking behaviors of left-behind adolescents include the availability of a helper, reaching out, self-reliance, and coping strategies. Additionally, facilitating factors include convenience and safe space, and hindering factors consist of the unavailability of helpers and negative perceptions toward help sources. The results highlighted the importance of leveraging informal support networks, seeking professional help, and maintaining communication with migrant mothers among middle adolescents.

World History's importance lies in its ability to enhance thinking skills and interest in understanding global events. Therefore, assessing students' thinking skills and interests is necessary to determine their inclination toward the discipline. Based on Cognitive Development Theory, this study aimed to assess the level of thinking skills and learning interests and their correlative relationship. A descriptive-correlational approach was used, and validated and reliability-tested questionnaires were administered to 294 junior high school students in a public school in Bacolod City, Philippines. The mean, standard deviation, and Spearman rank correlation were used for data analysis. Students displayed average thinking skills and a high level of learning interest. Additionally, no significant correlation was found between students' thinking skills and their interest in learning world history. This invalidated the anchored theory. Hence, continuous improvements in employing strategies are recommended to public school teachers to boost students' critical thinking abilities and engagement in the subject.
