The manuscript of Bung Karno's speech on August 17, 1945 is an example of the use of Indonesian in official documents and state speeches so that the sentences in them are good to analyze. There are many syntactic symptoms found in it that are interesting to study, including the structure of descriptive sentences and imperative sentences which can be analyzed based on the functions, roles, and syntactic categories of Indonesian. This research consists of two problems, namely (1) regarding the functions, roles, and syntactic categories of news sentences in Bung Karno's speech on August 17, 1945, (2) regarding the functions, roles, and syntactic categories of exclamatory sentences in Bung Karno's speeches on August 17, 1945. This study aims to describe the types of functions, roles, and syntactic categories of news sentences and exclamations of Bung Karno's speech on August 17, 1945. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection was carried out using the note-taking technique and data analysis using content analysis techniques. The results of this study found that syntactic functions include subject, predicate, object, description, and complement; the roles that are found are as actors, tools, and experiences occupying the function of the subject; and categories include pronouns, nouns, transitive verbs, intransitive verbs, adverbial phrases, verbal phrases, nominal phrases, prepositional phrases, adjective phrases, and numeral phrases. From this research, it can be seen that one sentence can contain more than one type of function, role, and syntactic category. This research is expected to show the functions, roles, and syntactic categories in declarative and imperative sentences in Bung Karno's speech on August 17, 1945, which is the speech of the proclamation of Indonesian independence.

Analisis Wacana Kritis Pada Debat Pilwakot Surakarta Putaran Kedua Tahun 2020

This study aims to describe the discourse analysis contained in the second round of the Surakarta pilwakot debate in 2020. In a critical discourse analysis study, the debate can be analyzed using William L. Benoit's functional theory which includes acclaims or claims, attacks or attacks, and defends or defends. This research uses descriptive qualitative research by describing the functional theory contained in the second round of the Surakarta Pilwakot debate. The documentation technique was used to collect data by watching, viewing, and writing the most important points in the second round of the Solo Pilwakot debate live video broadcast. Content analysis techniques were used in this study to obtain the forms of acclaim, attacks, and defends used by candidate pairs in arguing. Based on the results of the analysis, the two pairs of candidates equally made acclaims or claims, recognition as one way to convince their supporters. As for attacks or attacks, candidate pair number 1 is superior in attacking candidate pair number 2. On defends, candidate pair number 1 (Gibran-Teguh) defends based on empirical data or facts as an aspect of knowledge which supports his argument. Another case with candidate pair number 2 (Bagyo-Supardjo) who is not strong enough in doing a defense or defends through answers or responses that are out of the context in question

An illocutionary act is a speech act that is usually identified by explicit performative sentences. The research on illocutionary acts in vlogs is an action that shows the meaning of speech during communication. This study aims to describe illocutionary acts on Fiersa Besari's vlog YouTube channel Jangan Lupa Senyum Part 1 along with its speech function. The method used in this research is the descriptive method. The form of research used here is qualitative research. The data source in this study is the vlog Jangan Lupa Senyum Part 1 on the Fiersa Besari YouTube channel. The data in this study are transcripts of conversations between characters in vlogs. Data collection techniques in research using the observation method and note-taking techniques. The findings in the research in this vlog were only 15 utterances of illocutionary speech acts. From the 15 utterances, 7 data on assertive illocutionary acts, 2 directive illocutionary acts, and 7 expressive illocutionary acts. From this research, it is expected that we can understand the function of illocutionary acts that are relevant to everyday life

This study aims to describe the form of code switching and code mixing used in Indonesian language learning at SMP N 01 Limpung, Batang Regency. This research is included in qualitative descriptive. Data processing that examines code switching and code mixing is thus the data in this study in the form of oral data, namely, speech code switching and code mixing that exist in Indonesian language learning. The data sources came from Indonesian language students and teachers at SMP N 01 Limpung. Data collection techniques in this study used the observation and note technique. The first step, the researcher listens to the use of language in Indonesian language learning. Furthermore, the researcher recorded the speech data including code switching and code mixing. The results showed that the speech used when learning Indonesian at SMP N 01 Limpung included: (1) code switching from Indonesian to Javanese and (2) code switching from Javanese to Indonesian. The form of code mixing that occurs in Indonesian language learning is in the form of: (1) the form of code mixing in the form of word insertion, (2) code mixing in the form of phrases

Kesalahan Berbahasa Pada Teks Berita Covid-19 Di Media Daring CNN Indonesia

Online news is the news that is widely accessed in this digital era, because it is faster, more accurate, and flexible. At the beginning of 2020, the whole world is facing the Corona or Covid-19 virus. In cyberspace itself, many sites have the Corona theme as their main news. However, it is not uncommon for language errors to be found in online news, both errors during the typing process, as well as pure errors from the personal error of the author who is not careful in using language rules. This study aims to determine how many types of language errors are in CNN Indonesia's online news about Covid-19 for the March 2020 period. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques in this study used the observation and note technique. Data analysis techniques were carried out starting from the beginning in the form of collection, recording, and classification. Based on the results of this study, four areas of language error were found, namely: (1) spelling (writing italics), (2) morphology (affix me (N) and prefix meN-), (3) syntax (illogical sentences, and non-logical sentences. frugal), (4) diction (connotative meaning and non-standard words). With this research, so that in the future the news presented can provide knowledge to readers by writing well and correctly

Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Time Token untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berbicara Siswa 使用时间学习模式令牌来提高学生的演讲技能

The current study aimed to find out whether the learning model called “Time Token” could improve Indonesian speaking skill of the students from VA class at SDI Karang Anyar, Rejang Lebong. This study applied a classroom action research undertaking two cycles. Each cycle comprised four stages of activities ranging from planning, implementation, observation, to reflection. The techniques deployed to collect the data were: observation, test for exercise, and documentation. The data of test were analyzed with the means and percentages of learning results, in the meantime the analysis of observation data used teachers and students’ observation sheets with the criteria of good, moderate, and less. The results of the present study demonstrated that students’ speaking skill on Indonesian language lesson in VA class at SDI Karang Anyar experienced improvement after “Time Token” learning model was implemented. The forgoing could be viewed from the mean of 63.7 and the classical learning mastery of 47.6%. After the implementation of “Time Token” learning model, students’ Indonesian speaking skill in the material vis-a-vis commenting on factual matters experienced improvement from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, the mean of students’ speaking skill was 72.1, and it increased to 78.8 in cycle II. The learning mastery was 71.4% in cycle I and 95.2% in cycle II. The teachers’ observation result in cycle I was 32.5 categorized as good, and it increased to 37.5 categorized as good. The observation result in respect of students’ activities in cycle I was 30 categorized as moderate, and in cycle II it increased to 37 categorized as good.

{"title":"Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Time Token untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berbicara Siswa","authors":"Asnita Asnita, Ummul Khair","doi":"10.29240/estetik.v3i1.1501","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.29240/estetik.v3i1.1501","url":null,"abstract":"The current study aimed to find out whether the learning model called “Time Token” could improve Indonesian speaking skill of the students from VA class at SDI Karang Anyar, Rejang Lebong. This study applied a classroom action research undertaking two cycles. Each cycle comprised four stages of activities ranging from planning, implementation, observation, to reflection. The techniques deployed to collect the data were: observation, test for exercise, and documentation. The data of test were analyzed with the means and percentages of learning results, in the meantime the analysis of observation data used teachers and students’ observation sheets with the criteria of good, moderate, and less. The results of the present study demonstrated that students’ speaking skill on Indonesian language lesson in VA class at SDI Karang Anyar experienced improvement after “Time Token” learning model was implemented. The forgoing could be viewed from the mean of 63.7 and the classical learning mastery of 47.6%. After the implementation of “Time Token” learning model, students’ Indonesian speaking skill in the material vis-a-vis commenting on factual matters experienced improvement from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, the mean of students’ speaking skill was 72.1, and it increased to 78.8 in cycle II. The learning mastery was 71.4% in cycle I and 95.2% in cycle II. The teachers’ observation result in cycle I was 32.5 categorized as good, and it increased to 37.5 categorized as good. Abstack: Analyzed from Dells Hymmes's ethnographic communication theory. This research uses descriptive qualitative methodology. Consists of eight speech acts: a. arrangement b. participant c. ends d. act e. key f. instrument g. norm h. Genre. Basically, all research data are taken from the program "Not Four Eyes" in Jakarta Trans 7. The data comes from Tukul Arwana's speech acts. Data analysis was performed in series as follows: Codification, data editor, data presentation and inference. The results showed that the variation of Tukul Arwana language has special characteristics (Indiocretic), which means it has directive, expressive, contextual, contact, Meta linguistic, and poetic functions. Abstract: The Purpose of this study was to improve the writing skills of class A students of the Indonesian Language Study Program FKIP Bengkulu University: Suggestopedia method is a strategy that has the main principle, namely, suggestions that can influence the result of learning situasion, both positively and negatively, by comfortably occupying students, setting up baground music in class during lessons, increasing individual participation, using posters to member big impressions while highligting information. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Descriptively use to describe the learning conditons. This type of research is classroom action research. this research was conducted in two cycles. The Research procedure used was the Arikunto Model class action research procedure, namely by conducting several steps of research which included (1) action planning, (2) action implementation, (3) observation, (4) reflection. The source of this research data comes from the results of the first cycle and second cycle research. Data analysis was done by(1) collecting data and student work in the form of writing speech concepts in public, (2) evaluating student data and performances, (3) making conclusions. Based on the result of the study obtained result; the first cycle can be concluded, there is still a distance between the theme and the substance of the explanation about the contents of the concept of student writing, so that the idea seem not well organized. Cycle II learning activities themes have been interrelated with explanatory substances and the ideas have been neatly arranged fiber aspects of imagination that have been used have increased.Keyword: Sugesstopedia

Membaca Repertoir Okky Madasari dalam Novel Maryam: Kajian Respon Estetik Wolfgang Iser

Abstract: This paper tried to trace Okky Madasaris repertoire in Maryam novel. Research analysis used Wolfgang Isers aesthetic response in his book The Act of Reading: A Theory of Aesthetic response (1987). The results showed that the accumulation of Okky's interview as a journalist about Ahmadiyya in Lombok had presented the Ahmadiyya socio-cultural problems in Lombok, and the old literary texts as background. Okky used social norms in the form of conflict of expulsion and burning of Ahmadiyya, while historical norms appear from year to year tragedies are displayed from 1999 to 2003. Cultural norms of Ahmadiyya must be married to fellow Ahmadis, and Ahmadis have their own mosques for their worship activities. The old literature that influenced it seemed to be Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk, Pulang novel, and Saksi Mata as well as the story of Maryam binti Imran. All of these elements build the meaning of the novel by Okky as a strategy to slip hopes, views, and criticisms of background reality to convey foreground that is intended to be addressed. Foreground that appears is Okky trying to reflect at the same time the contemplation of the tragedy for the tragedy that befell the Ahmadis in Lombok. So that the hope that appears is to voice justice, human rights and civilization better. Kajian Sastra Bandingan Pada Lirik Lagu Demi Kowe Karya Pendhoza dan Merantau Karya Abah Lala

This study aims to reveal the similarities and differences in Pendhoza's Demi Kowe song lyrics with the song lyrics Merantau by Abah Lala. This research is included in the type of qualitative descriptive research with a comparative literary approach. The data collection technique used is the technique of reading and recording. The researcher reads the two song lyrics and records the similarities and differences between the two song lyrics. Data analysis techniques use interactive techniques that include data reduction processes, data display and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the two songs had similarities and differences. The similarity between the two songs lies in the character values, please help, discipline, responsibility, and independence. The difference between the two songs can be seen in terms of the story that Demi Kowe's song lyrics tell more about the return of a man after going overseas to keep his promises. In Demi Kowe's song lyrics, religious values were also found that were not found in Merantau's song lyrics. In the song lyrics of Merantau the difference lies in the content of the story that tells about the struggle of a husband who lives in the land of rantau. In addition, in the song lyrics Merantau also tells about the suspicions and emotions of a husband towards the wife who was left at home.
