This article start with a research completed in 2018, whose goal was to identify situations and causes of physical, emotional, social and economic vulnerability of the students of the Social Communication´s program. In pursuit of this aim, four discussion groups, 125 surveys shaped with 49 closed questions each, provided the information for the analysis. The results of the research, enabled the identification of some socioeconomic characteristics of the students, such as that the program average student lives in low-middle class neighborhoods, does not get to have three proper meals a day and depends on his family to pay their student fees and their sustenance. The research also showed that belonging to the LGBTIQ+ population, parenting, and financial difficulties, represent some bigger student vulnerability conditions which impact in the quality of the training environment and the forming process itself.

espanolEl presente articulo resena la implementacion de estrategias de comunicacion desarrolladas en el Proyecto de Rehabilitacion de Redes de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado Lote 3, ejecutado entre los anos 2013 y 2014 en el distrito de Comas, al norte de Lima (Peru) y perteneciente al Servicio de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado de Lima (SEDAPAL). Como resultado, pudo observarse que la implementacion de un diagnostico de percepciones, el plan de comunicacion y los productos de comunicacion y educacion permitieron facilitar el diseno de mensajes acordes al contexto del proyecto, tomando en consideracion los discursos de los usuarios en contra y a favor del proyecto, asi como los objetivos buscados por la empresa ejecutora. EnglishThis paper focus on implementation of communication strategies developed in the Rehabilitation of Potable Water and Sewerage Network Lote 3 project, executed between 2013 and 2014 in the district of Comas, north of Lima-Peru, and belonging to the Servicio de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado de Lima (SEDAPAL), company responsible for water and sewage in Lima. This paper explores the contributions of transmedia storytelling in the construction of fictional worlds, in an attempt to detect the narrative elements that strengthen the bond of the audience with the fictional world. The study shows that based on the solid construction of the poetics of a story, transmedia storytelling can enrich the engagement with a large audience. To prove this, we analyze the narrative elements and the transmedia strategies of the series Aliados, produced by Cris Morena Group and broadcasted in Latin America and countries in Europe

This paper analyzes the information treatment of the Mapuche people in the newspaper El Mercurio during two periods. First, between 1950 and 1973 (twentieth century); and second, during the years 2010, 2013 and 2014, (21st century). To this end, a corpus of 340 journalistic texts has been selected, of which 147 correspond to the 20th century (1950-1970) and 193, to the 21st century (2010, 2013-2014). The analysis shows that most of the frames are linked to conflicts, criminal prosecutions and arson attacks; so that El Mercurio prioritizes connotations and negative events to inform about the Mapuche indigenous people.

This paper aims to determine how photographic manipulation relates to the credibility of journalistic media through the photograph published in Los Angeles Times referred to the Second Gulf War, 2003. This research has a non-experimental crosscutting design, applicative type with descriptive, correlational and comparative levels, as well as inductive, deductive, analytical, statistical, and hermeneutic method. By units of analysis and population samples (taken from students in Lima and New York City) the general hypothesis, where photographic manipulation is significantly related to the credibility of journalistic media through the photograph published in Los Angeles Times referred to the Second Gulf War in 2003, was confirmed.

Se inicia con la conceptualizacion de las relaciones publicas y su relacion con la politica (en lo general) y con la politica electoral (en lo particular). Se argumenta que el impulso de una campana electoral implica un ejercicio de relaciones publicas con el objetivo de conocer a los electores y de disenar diferentes estrategias para conseguir su voto y asi evitar que los adversarios logren arribar a posiciones de representacion publica. Se concluye que el exito o fracaso de una campana electoral dependera de la capacidad que se tenga como individuos o como organizaciones para lograr un manejo creativo, oportuno e inteligente de las relaciones publicas. EnglishThe essay makes a description of the strategical role the play public relations during electoral campaigns. In the beginning, the essay conceptualizes public relations and its connection with political campaigns. It is argued that make an electoral campaign imply a public relation activity with the objective of knowing the voters and make up different political strategies to get their votes and, consequently, avoid the opposition can win the political power. It is concluded that the successful in a political campaigns depends on the creative, intelligent and innovative use of public relations.

Our objective is to highlight the dimensions of the digital system. To do it, we present figures related to the global penetration of the Internet and analyze the penetration of the Internet in the Americas. Then we focus our attention on social networks, and present the most significant Facebook stats. Finally, we refer the studies of the World Economic Forum, which are essential for understanding the importance of the Internet and social networks in the development of telecommunications systems.

Media are supposed to pay special attention to the traditional journalistic ethical norms in the cases of media coverage of bullying in schools (Olweus, 1998; Mason, 2008), insofar as these combine childhood, violence and, in some unfortunate cases, suicide (Herrera et al., 2015). Even if mass media have traditionally avoided these kind of coverage, giving rise to an informative silence that answers to its concern about a possible “imitation effect” (Philips, 1974), it is a fact that the topic has gained attention in the media sphere, probably due a growing public and social interest towards the bullying problem. Because of the scarce researches on media coverage of bullying in schools related to suicide (Muller, 2011), this paper examines the ethical codes and the media treatment of three significant cases in Spain. The results shed light on the consequences of releasing this kind of informative content and on the options to improve this kind of treatment avoiding risk factors.
