Research into the profitability dynamics of the banking sector is continuously current, significant, and complex. Bearing that in mind, this paper measures and analyzes the profitability dynamics of the banking sector in Serbia using FLMAW-MARCOS methods. The empirical results obtained by applying the given methodology show that the five best years of achieved profitability in the banking sector in Serbia in the period 2008 - 2022 are in order: 2018, 2017, 2008, 2019 and 2022. The worst profitability was achieved in 2013. Recently, the profitability of the banking sector in Serbia has improved. It was influenced by the economic climate, management of human resources, assets, capital, sales of banking products, costs, and profits. The digitalization of the entire business plays a significant role in this. The impact of the Covid-19 corona virus pandemic, as well as the global energy crisis, is significant. In order to improve the profitability of the banking sector in Serbia, it is necessary to manage human resources, assets, capital, sales, costs and profits as efficiently as possible and adapt to changes in the economic climate.

The weighted average cost of capital is the rate that companies must pay to shareholders and creditors. Therefore, it is a risk-adjusted discount rate for the company's cash flows. The paper will calculate the weighted average cost of capital for a selected group of companies listed on the Sarajevo and Banja Luka Stock Exchanges, as well as profitability indicators such as: ROA, ROE and net profit margin. Therefore, the main goal of this paper is to investigate whether there is interdependence in the movement of the weighted average cost of capital and profitability indicators of the selected group of companies in the stock market indices SASX-30 and BIRS. The research results show that the WACC ranges from a minimum of 5.11% to a maximum of 10.87%. Likewise, the research results show that there is a negative connection and correlation between WACC on the one hand and a selected group of profitability indicators on the other hand.

The banking industry faces increased risks based on cyber threats, mostly through mobile applications and web portals, and to a lesser extent through other communication channels. Cyberattacks continue to increase, and the banking sector can be particularly vulnerable, especially in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The subject of the paper is to analyze the views of respondents of users of banking services in the Republic of Serbia on the problem of cyber threats as a risk factor in the banking sector. The main conclusion is that the largest number of respondents, as much as 70% of them, are not concerned or not very concerned about security in the banking services' sector. This indicates the existence of a high degree of trust in the security of banking services and the activities that banks undertake to protect data and deposited financial assets. In addition, banks should still emphasize preventive activities to reduce the risks based on cyber threats to an acceptably low level. Some of the preventive activities can be engaging in the education of internal auditors and increasing the effectiveness of information security audits.

The development of mobile banking applications has enabled banks to serve their customers much faster and more easily. Bearing in mind that financial institutions in developing countries face many problems related to the implementation of mobile banking and that it is not as widespread as expected, it is very important to understand the factors that influence the adoption of mobile banking, as well as the trust of users in these services. Therefore, this paper aims to determine through empirical research the effects of security, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use on trust and how the trust of mobile banking users affects their satisfaction, affective attachment, and intention to use. It was found that security and perceived ease of use have statistically significant positive effects on trust, then that trust has a positive effect on satisfaction, and satisfaction on affective commitment and intention to use. Finally, it was shown that affective commitment has a statistically significant positive effect on the intention to use.

Implementation of contemporary information technology provided banks with the possibility to communicate with clients through mobile banking. To improve this service quality, banks must monitor and analyse components that determine clients' intention to communicate with their bank through this channel. The goal of the paper is to identify key determinants of clients' intention to use mobile banking through empirical research conducted on a sample containing 196 clients. The paper analyses effects of the perceived usefulness and ease of use as the main components of the TAM model, by expanding the same with two more components: trust and credibility. By processing the data in SPSS software research obtained the results that all observed components, except trust, influence clients' intention to use mobile banking. The obtained results expand existing scientific knowledge in the contemporary banking communication research area and provide valuable knowledge for improving banking services quality.

In recent times, as is known, various methods of multi-criteria analysis are used more and more in order to evaluate the efficiency of financial institutions as accurately as possible. One of them is MABAC (Multi-Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison) method. Bearing that in mind, this paper analyzes the efficiency of banks in Serbia based on this method. The results of the research on the efficiency of banks in Serbia based on the MABAC method show that Banca Intesa ad Beograd is in first place. The ranking of banks in Serbia according to the MABAC method was influenced by numerous macro and micro factors (economic climate, foreign direct investments, exchange rate, inflation, employment, living standards of the population, financing of infrastructure projects and debts). The impact of the Covid-19 corona virus pandemic on the efficiency of banks in Serbia is negative. A reduced number of employees was recorded and credit activities were "frozen". This also affected the efficiency of banks in Serbia. In order to improve the efficiency of banks in Serbia in the future, it is necessary to manage human resources, assets, capital, income and profit as efficiently as possible.

Researching bank efficiency factors is very challenging. Bearing that in mind, this paper analyzes the financial performance and efficiency of banks in Serbia based on the fuzzy LMAWMARCOS method. The obtained empirical results show that the top five banks are, in order: Banca Intesa, OTP Banka Srbija, Komercijalna banka, Mobi Banka and NLB banka. Badly positioned banks include, in order: MIRABANK, API banka, Srpska banka, 3 BANKA and Addiko Bank. Among other things, the efficiency of banks in Serbia was significantly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to improve the financial performance and efficiency of banks in Serbia in the future, it is necessary to manage resources (human capital, assets and capital), sales of banking products and profits as efficiently as possible. The digitization of the entire banking business also plays a significant role in this.

The history of the development of the deposit insurance system is quite long. There are a large number of different systems operating in the world that have changed over time, adapting to the circumstances in the environment. In any case, deposit insurance has become a central component of the financial safety net in most countries. The subject of this paper is an analysis of the development of the deposit insurance system throughout history, a comparative analysis of the organisation, functions and mandate of deposit insurers, with an emphasis on the importance of the deposit insurance system for preserving the country's financial stability. In addition, this paper aims to point out the importance of lessons derived from financial crises, which, above all, emphasised the need for financial system reforms and the creation of effective protection systems.

The paper examines the impact of CSR on the financial performance of banks operating in the Republic of Serbia. The research was conducted on the example of seven banks for the period from 2006 to 2019, using panel data analysis. Parameter estimates were obtained using three different estimators, Pooled OLS, fixed effects method, and random effects method. The research results show that two dimensions of CSR have a statistically significant impact on the financial performance of banks; environmental responsibility has a positive influence on the business results expressed through ROA, while respect for the basic principles of business and the success of the bank's business has a negative influence.
