The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between work-family interference (WIF), organizational and occupational turnover intentions. Further, it was investigated if the relationships are mediated by ‘psychological contract breach’ (PCB) concerning ‘work-family balance obligations’. A study was completed by gathering data using a self-administered survey from employees working in the Pakistani Banking industry (n=359). The results indicate that WIF is positively linked to organizational and occupational turnover intentions. Results of mediation analyses showed a significant indirect effect of WIF, via PCB, on occupational turnover intentions but not on organizational turnover intentions. This study provides insight into the mechanisms through which WIF affects employee turnover intentions. Moreover, this study adds to psychological contract theory by revealing insight into the particular sub of work-family content of work-family balance obligations.

The main aim of this study is to identify to what extent the managerial leaderships in top, middle, and lower levels of commercial banks at Jordan practice the employer branding dimensions and talent management strategies. Also, it aims to explore the impact of employer branding dimensions on talent management strategies. The researcher relied on analytical-descriptive method to analyze and classify the data to achieve the objectives and to identify the variables of the study. To collect data a questionnaire was developed based on relevant literature and scales, (226) questionnaires were distributed, out of which (187) were returned and analyzed using SPSS (version 19), with response rate (82.7%). The results of the study showed that the relative importance of employer branding dimensions and talent management strategies practices in commercial banks of Jordan was high. Also, the results revealed that there is a positive relationship and significant impact of employer branding dimensions on talent management strategies among managers of commercial banks in Jordan.

In this paper, we consider a single-machine scheduling problem, with the aim of minimizing the weighted sum of the completion time. This problem is NP-hard, making the search for an optimal solution very difficult. In this frame, two heuristics (H1), (H2) and metaheuristic tabu search are suggested.To improve the performance of this techniques, we used, on one hand, different diversification strategies (TES1 and TES2) with the aim of exploring unvisited regions of the solution space. On the other hand, we suggested three types of neighborhoods (neighborhood by swapping, neighborhood by insertion and neighborhood by blocks).It must be noted that tasks movement can be within one period or between different periods.

This study investigated the place of interpersonal conflict management on performance of government hospitals in Nigeria and specifically. The purpose is to ascertain how collaborative approach of interpersonal conflict management affect mortality rates reduction in government hospitals and investigate if avoidance technique in conflict management improves the working relationships in the government hospital within Nigeria. The study adopted survey research design and was conducted in National Hospital Abuja, and University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Ituku/Ozalla, Enugu State, Nigeria. The study population is 1629, which includes all health professionals employed in selected public- owned teaching hospitals. A sample size of 312 was drawn from the population. The study used descriptive statistics (frequency, charts, tables and simple percentage) to calculate, analyse, show or summarize responses to the research questions. The hypotheses were tested using ordinal logistic regression. Findings showed that collaborative approach has significantly contributed in reducing mortality rates in government hospitals in Nigeria, and avoidance as a means of interpersonal conflict management helped improve the working relations of selected government hospital staff in Nigeria. The study recommended that they should be improved communication, and collaboration between management, clerks, nurses, doctors and workers representatives in running the affairs of the hospitals. Again, conflicting tendencies should always be avoided by workers for more efficient, peaceful, coordinated and minimal conflicts in working environment within the healthcare industry.

Family as a concept is flexible, thus prone to changes concerning the needs of the modern industrial society. Roles within the family are structured following the contemporary conditions, following the emancipation of women, reduction in the male workforce due to mechanization, and increased presence of grandparents as caregivers, due to increased life expectancy. The main objective of this scientific work is to analyse relevant standpoints regarding the function and sustainability of family, while taking into account external influences such as economic status, political situation, as well as societal norms and values. The identification of these challenges helps us determine the extent to which family structure and function is able to adopt to rapid globalisation that is taking place. Globalization is opening many doors, giving us freedom of choice in terms of family structure and roles, while simultaneously forcing us to find our identity through labeling ourselves as “this”, “that”, or “the next best alternative”. Higher living standards constrain our possibility of choice, as fewer children mean less economic burden, but more attention is spent on them. The boomerang effect of childhood is what emphasizes the importance of a stable home.

Prospect Theory provides a broad and solid frame of reference for modeling the decision making of rational agents. In the early 1990s, the structure of Prospect Theory was used to propose a method to aid a multicriteria decision based on the process of paired comparison. The research reported in this article has empirically assessed the adherence of the mathematical model of the original TODIM method, together with its variations available in the literature, to Prospect Theory and compared them with a multicriteria method that does not use that theory. From a comparative analysis, it was realized that the different variations of the TODIM method regarding the incorporation of Prospect Theory’s rationality within the context of Multicriteria Decision Aid still do not bring the benefits of an already consolidated theory to the context of decision-making aid. Thus, it is suggested that further studies be conducted to improve the adherence of Prospect Theory within the structure of the TODIM method, so that the benefits of a consolidated theory of decision lead to better results, notably from the perspective of using the method for the purposes of forecast.

In the industrial halls it is often necessary to handle large objects, with a large and large table, which have to be transported not over long distances but moved from one place to another, raised, then lowered to various levels, left or right. Such repeated manipulations of heavy and dangerous objects can be done only with the help of a manipulator, which can be a crane, a specially designed trolley, a complicated robot or a simple manipulator as is the case for the one presented in the paper. The paper briefly presents the kinematic study of a manipulator with three mobilities, which can be used both in industrial halls and in garages, depending on its suitably chosen constructive size, which at smaller dimensions can be handled very easily. This manipulator can carry large loads, thus easing the work of the human being and preventing it from major dangers that can occur during the transport of large pieces and a large mass.

A good cost management is a business need, where the process failures are identified and corrected, seeking continuous improvement, since competitiveness and lower prices are the market demanding. Such good management reflects on process economies, whether economic or energy efforts, and results in benefits for the company and final consumer, who receives a less costly product. In order to achieve this process of continuous improvement in costing process, the QC-story method was used to identify and analyze problems in cost calculation. For analysis of the problems some Quality Tools were used, making possible to identify the causes of the problems with cost management. At the end of the analysis, an action plan was proposed using the 5W2H tool to achieve the desired improvements. The application of the QC-story method was justified by the fact that divergences in cost management are common in all collections, directly impacting the company's income generation.

As globalization is increasingly affecting both Low Income Countries (LICs) and high income countries (HICs), the formation of mixed markets emphasizes the importance of private education. Functionalists, for example, highlight privately owned institutions as higher quality ones, as the competitive market forces them to innovate and follow the rapid technological improvements, to respond to customers’ demand. Higher education is becoming a necessity in LICs, as well. This is because it is much easier nowadays to “import” the workforce from another country. On the other hand, factories of transnational corporations are getting established in LICs. In this case, higher knowledge is not required, as the emphasis is placed on repetitive tasks and division of labor. The aim of this work is to provide a relevant analysis of scientific approach of various stand points in regards to different functions and applicability of knowledge, while considering the external factors, such as economic status of the country, to define the key challenges. Still, as the country progresses economically, the sector of production is likely to shift from primary (fishing, farming, agriculture) to the third one (services). As a result, LICs who aim to progress in an economical sense, must place greater emphasis on higher education, and align the educational process with the economic demand.

It was observed that most of the Indian working-class people were seriously concerned about the pandemic and responded well to the measures suggested by the Governments and other agencies in a big way. Most of the respondents believed the pandemic will be effectively controlled across the globe within one year. Word cloud and other data visualization techniques were used to analyze the reactions of the Indian working class towards the Central and State government’s initiatives to contain COVID-19. In the word cloud of the top 150 popular words for both central and state governments Lockdown, People and Government have taken the central stage. The word streaming analysis suggests the intense relationship among the most frequent words in the dataset. For the central government, it was social distancing and for state government, it was social distancing and relationship between central and state governments. The sentiment analysis for both central and state government was neutral, mostly. The researchers are of the view that the research will provide a deeper insight into human perception and behavior towards the measures initiated by the Central and State Governments in any similar difficult situations. Further the concerns identified may be taken into consideration by the Government while designing the policy measures and other interventions by the Government.
