The quadratic assignment problem (QAP) is a well-known challenging combinational optimization problem that has received many researchers’ attention with varied real-world and industrial applications areas. Using the framework of basic artificial bee colony algorithm, frequently used crossover and mutation operators, and combined with an effective local search method, this paper proposes a simple but effective discrete artificial bee colony (DABC) algorithm for solving quadratic assignment problems (QAPs). Typical QAP benchmark instances are selected from QAPLIB in order to conduct the simulation experiment where common performance metrics are used to evaluate the algorithm. The paper also investigates the influence factors of the algorithm’s performance. The results show that the proposed algorithm is a quite effective and practical new approach for handling QAP problems.

Social network has become an important channel for people to obtain information.Trusted user information behavior is the key to build cyberspace security. A dynamic reputation evaluation method based on supervision feedback of user information behavior is helpful to promote social network self-discipline and achieve good community autonomy. The comprehensive reputation evaluation of each node integrates identity and behavior reputation. And the reputation is dynamically updated by setting the new node evaluation period and phased update mechanism. Identity reputation is calculated by information disclosure and network characteristics; Behavior reputation is calculated by information release and forwarding, and rewards or punishments will be given to self-correction of information behavior or blocking of bad information. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional trust evaluation mechanism, setting rewards and punishments guidance can improve the accuracy of reputation evaluation. At the same time, reputation incentive can also inhibit the interaction of bad information while promoting the consciousness of reporting.

In this new round of power network development, the concept of coordinated and optimized operation of power network interconnection and smart grid “source network load” has gradually attracted attention. Based on the analysis of the impact of the flexible DC distribution network on the complex energy system with multiple data sources and large data volume under the big data platform, the coordinated dispatching of the source and load of the big data flexible DC distribution network is studied. Therefore, a source-load matching index that can evaluate the impact of different types of loads on the stability of the flexible DC grid is constructed and incorporated into the load recovery optimization model. First, use the scene reduction method to process all generated scenes; next, take the reduction technology and the scene generation method into account of the uncertainty caused by the prediction error and incorporate them into the multi-objective function optimization model; finally, the membership function of fuzzy numbers is used to model uncertainty. So as to construct a load recovery model that can coordinate the load recovery amount, importance and system dynamic response. The actual meaning of the matching index is explained through model solving and actual case analysis.

This paper uses support vector regression (SVR) to predict short-term traffic flow, and studies the feasibility of SVR in short-term traffic flow prediction. The short-time traffic flow has many influencing factors, which are characterized by nonlinearity, randomness and periodicity. Therefore, SVR algorithm has advantages in dealing with such problems. In order to improve the prediction accuracy of the SVR, this paper uses genetic algorithm (GA) to optimize the SVR and other parameters to obtain the global optimal solution. The optimal parameters are used to construct the SVR prediction model. This paper selects the traffic flow data of the Jiangxi Provincial Transportation Department database to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed model.

The purpose of this paper is to help college students improve their physical health and build a sound health management system. The physical exercise and health management of college students following IoT (Internet of Things) are studied. First, the current situation of college students’ physical quality is analyzed, and it is found that the college students’ physical quality and mental states decline in recent years. Second, the connotation of health management is briefly introduced and its necessity is analyzed. Health management cannot only improve the physical condition of students but also cultivate students’ strong will. Then, the application and characteristics of IoT are described, and the framework of physical exercise is designed based on IoT. Finally, a questionnaire survey is designed, and the survey results are compared and analyzed. According to the statistical results of the intervention group and the control group before and after the intervention, it is found that physical exercise has a significant effect on improving the physical and mental states of college students. The average scores of each dimension of physical states after the intervention are higher than those before the intervention, and the scores of each symptom in mental illnesses are lower than those before the intervention. This shows that the main method of health management based on physical exercise has a very obvious positive effect, which helps college students to improve their physical and mental states and cultivate their good habit of taking exercise.

Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is a promising solution that has gained significant attraction in the human health monitoring system. Body sensors measure the physiological parameters of the human body and send the data to the access point via coordinator or local processing unit (e.g., smartphones, PDA) for further analysis. Data transmission from the local processing unit to the access point, known as inter-WBAN transmission, is challenging since many problems such as interference, poor link quality, and scarcity of resources can arise. As a result, data may be lost, or transmission may be delayed, which turn can endanger the user’s health. The situation could be worse when the user suffers from critical diseases and has to coordinate with other WBANs co-located in the same vicinity. This paper focuses on dynamic slot scheduling and topology handling of WBAN, whose neighborhood is constantly changing due to its mobility. To guarantee the performance of different WBAN’s criticality; we propose Critically Aware Threshold Sensitive (CATS) scheduling algorithm for coexisting WBANs data transmission. CATS treats all the nodes in the same WBAN as a whole and allocates the same slot to nodes of the WBAN so that the data transmission delay of a critical WBAN can be minimized. The proposed method categories and schedules the WBANs based on the sensor data priority and WBAN’s criticality index. Furthermore, we have considered for categorizing the WBANs into various groups. In this work, the network performance is evaluated using these threshold values. Simulations are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed CATS against the existing scheduling algorithms with respect to various performance metrics. Simulation results show that the proposed method has lower transmission delay and higher spatial reuse factor.

In this paper, the application example of 8 × 100 Gbit/s over 463 km (76.9 dB) optical transport network is realized by using commercial bidirectional Raman amplifier and additional auxiliary laser without any remotely pump amplifier. The positions of the auxiliary laser in the commercial Raman amplifier are compared and optimized experimentally. The results show that 7.3 dB and 10.2 dB more power budget is obtained with the auxiliary laser in the backward direction and forward direction respectively comparing to the situation without any auxiliary laser. The results also show that forward second order Raman amplifier is a good choice in the condition without remotely pump amplifier.

The Software-Defined Network (SDN) with Network Slicing will be a good approach for admission control in the Fifth Generation (5G) wireless network, which is planned to be adaptable to meet user requirements. The system’s resources are limited, and the number of devices is growing much faster than it can handle. So, the overloading problem will be a very critical problem. To deal with these problems, this paper presents a Fuzzy-based Scheme for Service Level Agreement (SLA) evaluation (FSSLA). We compare two models: FSSLA1 and FSSLA2. The FSSLA1 considers three input parameters: Reliability (Re), Availability (Av), Latency (La) and the output parameter is SLA. In FSSLA2, we consider Traffic Load (Tl) as a new parameter. From simulation results, we conclude that the considered parameters have different effects on the SLA. When Re and Av are increasing, the SLA parameter is increased but when La and Tl are increasing, the SLA parameter is decreased. When the Tl value is changed from 20% to 80%, the SLA is decreased by 16.62% when Re 10%, Av 90% and the La value is 1 ms. When the Re is increased from 10% to 90% and 50% to 90% and the Tl value is 50%, the Av is 50% and the La is 1 ms, the SLA is increased by 22.76% and 11.38%, respectively.
