The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly shifted people’s behavior in various aspects of life. As a contemporary discourse, pandemic needs to be understood with a more comprehensive approach. This article contains two common perspectives on pandemics: naturalistic perspective, which views pandemics either as individual microscopic entities or as a life process; and socio-constructivist, which views pandemics as non-natural disasters and public discourse consensus. The second view is getting more public attention because of its closeness to sociological experiences amid information uncertainty, which formed from the prevalence of disinformation, fake news, knowledge vulnerabilities, and society’s digital-virtual freedom. However, there is also undeniable confusion about information or particular political interests from government authorities or the scientific community. The post-truth dimension also influences the socio-epistemic constellation of society in understanding the pandemic. This article aims to open a scientific-philosophical discussion and produce an epistemological framework for understanding the pandemic based on a more rigorous epistemological review and then can be a post-pandemic policy consideration.

Critical Theory, especially of the Frankfurt School variant, is one of the theoretical and methodological lenses used quite often by contemporary Islamic thinkers. One thinker who is explicit in his adoption and adaptation of the thinking of the Frankfurt School is Fawzia Gilani-Williams who proposes an "Islamic Critical Theory". This article responds to her thought and at the same time departs from it to explore further the acceptance of this neo-Marxist thought in the discourse developed by Muslim intellectuals. At the same time, this article provides a response to the Islamization project of this idea, but also shows that at the most basic critical point, there is a parallelism between the Islamic ideals and the ideological ideals of the Frankfurt School Critical Theory.

Theology in this paper is interpreted as the relationship between religion and social reality that is captured by someone who adheres to it.In other words, a person's perspective in hugging, believes, and practice religion in the midst of social reality. While humanism is an understanding that upholds humanity or humanize humans. So how is the understanding of religion or the way of religion in the midst of a pluralistic social reality (theology) still sided with the humanists? This paper uses the method of studying the social context and orientation of humanism in the early modern era and the results are in reality, then linked with theology to be applied to contemporary plural social reality. The author uses the perspective of M. Amin Abdullah which is based on the epistemology of Irfani associated with the view of the World Community and Ethics in favor of human values. The result is that Irfani provides the basis for unity in differences orunity in diversity. Pancasila as the basis of the State, the state ideology, and the nation's view of life are national agreement and national compromise of various interest groups. Pancasila was agreed as a final meeting point, therefore Pancasilamust be the starting pointin overcoming all problems of national and state life. One of the complicated problems that are currently happening is Indonesian community behavior that is already not in line with the Pancasila values. In this context Pancasila must be placed not only as the basis of the State, the state ideology, and the nation's view of life, but also must be the basis of ethics, the value standard, and the moral standards. This article examines the three main areas that become the pulse of the life of the nation, that is politics, economics and social media. The behavior of the Indonesian community in the three main streams, read from the Pancasila perspective, therefore expected to give birth to a new awareness in the rule of a nation which is more balanced, humane and enlightening.

AbstractThis article discusses about metaphysics in al Farabi's peripatetic philosophy, particularly about happiness. In the historical study of philosophy, this belief was grounded through the peripatetic method. In this peripatetic tradition, there are several central themes that become profound discourses in philosophical discourse, including metaphysical concepts. The metaphysical concept has a unique distinction in its position in Islamic philosophy. One of them is from Al-Farabi's view, which views that mastery of metaphysical concepts has an important role in creating happiness. For this reason, this paper will discuss what is the peripatetic tradition in history, metaphysical concepts that exist in the realms of Islamic philosophy and discuss the relationship between metaphysical concepts and the concept of happiness owned by Islamic philosophers, namely Abu Nasir Muhammad bin al-Farakh Al-Farabi (872-951).

This article explores Rumi's mahabbah concept. Currently, in society, the concept of love is degrading in meaning, resulting in its constriction. This is because the concept of mahabbah, which we usually refer to as "love," is unfamiliar to the general population. In general, society equates love with liking the other sex. Spite of the fact , Rumi asserts that love is not confined to that. The notion of love will be addressed in this study via the lens of Jalaluddin Rumi, specifically the nature of love and its application in life. The findings of this study provide an outline of the type of love that people should possess: love powerful enough to cause someone to love their god.

This article describes about the original dimensions of al-Farabi's Islamic political philosophy by comparing it with Plato's political philosophy. The originality of philosophical thought in Islam was questioned critically by the orientalists. Orientalists had claimed that Islamic philosophy is simply a diversion from Greek philosophy. However, Islamic philosophy is an elaboration of classical Greek philosophical thought. In the hands of Muslim philosophers, Greek philosophical thought reached perfection. So that it cannot be said that Islamic philosophical thought is only diversion of Greek philosophy. This elaboration effort appears in the thought of Al-Farabi's political philosophy which is considered very Platonnic. In this case, there are fundamental differences between Platon's political philosophical thought and the political philosophy thought was built by Al-Farabi. The difference lies in their analysis of the ideal leader, the goals of the state, and the classification efforts of good and bad governance political regimes. Through these differences, it can be seen that Al-Farabi's political philosophy has its own characteristics, that is a combination of faith and philosophy.
