Filmski turizam pratio je razvoj filma, a u Republici Hrvatskoj postaje sve popularniji oblik turizma zahvaljujući snimanju serije „Igra Prijestolja“ u Dubrovniku, okolici Splita i okolici Šibenika. Snimanje popularne serije je iznjedrilo niz novih turističkih ponuda na lokacijama snimanja, tako što brojne nacionalne i internacionalne agencije nude mnoštvo različitih putovanja i izleta koji uključuju posjet lokacijama snimanja serije. Turizam koji se samo oslanja na prirodne ljepote, kojih u Hrvatskoj ne nedostaje, nije model koji će dugoročno doprinijeti povećanju konkurentnosti hrvatskog turizma u odnosu na ostale mediteranske zemlje. Međutim, ulaganjem u razvoj filmske industrije potencijalno se potiče razvoj filmskog turizma koji je prilika za smanjenje ovisnosti hrvatskog turizma o prirodnim ljepotama i vremenskim prilikama. Svrha istraživanja u ovom radu je da se izmjere ekonomski učinci filmskog turizma na primjeru serije „Igra Prijestolja“ u Republici Hrvatskoj. Primarni cilj istraživanja je analizirati karakteristike filmskog turizma na primjeru turizma uzrokovanog snimanjem serije „Igra Prijestolja“. U radu se razmatra određivanje optimalne rute po turističkim atrakcijama. Na primjeru odabranih deset atrakcija u gradu Puli, dokazuje se da je problem optimalne rute rješiv modeliranjem po uzoru na model putujućega trgovačkog predstavnika (TSP) te primjenom evolucijske metode. Postavljeni problem odnosi se na određivanje pješačke rute i modeliran je iz perspektiva minimizacije udaljenosti i minimizacije vremena potrebnog za obilazak. Prikaz rješavanja korištenjem MS Excela upućuje na mogućnost jednostavne i intuitivne pripreme podataka za analizu te relativno brzog utvrđivanja rješenja. Rezultati upućuju na mogućnosti upotrebe pri organizaciji obilaska u turističkoj destinaciji, prednosti i nedostatke primijenjene metode, ali i prednosti upotrebe kvantitativnih metoda uupravljanju turističkim atrakcijama. Uočena fleksibilnost primjene rezultata otvara mogućnosti daljnjeg obogaćivanja modela, ali i daljnji razvoj u obliku integracije u sustav potpore u upravljanju destinacijom kvantitativnim metodama, uz doprinos održivosti turizma destinacije.

U radu se na uzorku država srednje i istočne Europe teorijski i empirijski analizira međuodnos stranih izravnih investicija i ekonomskog rasta. Dostupna istraživanja o navedenom međuodnosu ne iznose jednoznačni zaključak o smjeru i intenzitetu utjecaja dviju predmetnih varijabli, dovodeći u pitanje a priori pozitivne učinke FDI-a na ekonomski rast zemlje primateljice ulaganja. Istraživanja pritom naglašavaju da potencijalni učinci inozemne štednje na gospodarstvo zemlje primateljice ovise o stupnju ekonomskog i institucionalnog razvoja zemlje kao i o modelu rasta koji je zemlja usvojila. Polazeći od postavki postkejnesijanske ekonomske teorije, u radu se polazi od pretpostavke da većina država iz uzorka istraživanja ima usvojen demand led growth model rasta. Istraživanje pokriva uzorak od 15 država srednje i istočne Europe te razdoblje 1995. – 2016. Empirijsko istraživanje provedeno je u dva koraka; u prvom je koraku na temelju testa Grangerove kauzalnosti utvrđen smjer međuutjecaja FDI-a i varijable ekonomskog rasta pri čemu je utvrđeno da stopa rasta BDP-a vodi povećanom priljevu ulaganje, dok obrnuti slučaj ne vrijedi. U drugom koraku, poduzetom panel analizom testira se utjecaj ekonomskog rasta i odabranih kontrolnih varijabli na ukupni priljev FDI-a. Zaključno, empirijski rezultati teorijski se obrazlažu u kontekstu postkejnesijanske ekonomske teorije temeljeno na pretpostavci da inozemna štednja (kapital) u slučaju država niske i srednje razine dohotka uglavnom vodi povećanju osobne potrošnje zbog aprecijacije realnog tečaja vodeći posljedično povećanju deficita tekućeg računa balance plaćanja i stvaranju (makro)ekonomskih neravnoteža.

This research sought to explore consumer decision-making styles of buyers in the car market in the Republic of Croatia. Additional aim of this research was also to add on the literature on consumer decision-making styles to further the understanding of the specificity of consumer behavior when buying a car. The research was conducted with in-depth interviews with car buyers using a non-probability purposive sample. Furthermore, interviews were conducted with car dealership employees who were consulted for additional information. The results indicate that car buyers in the Republic of Croatia make their car buying decisions based on specific consumer decision-making styles. Based on the relevant literature and empirical research, ten consumer decision-making styles specific to car buyers in the Republic of Croatia were identified: price sensitivity, susceptibility to the influence of others, interest in automobiles, involvement in car purchase, brand loyalty, and brand, quality, aesthetics, innovation and functionality consciousness. The research was conducted on a sample of respondents from the Croatian market, so the results cannot be applied to other markets. Also, the study was conducted on a smaller and a non-representative sample, so the results should be verified on a larger and representative sample.

The subject of this research is the impact of ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning) on management accounting, namely data collection, internal reporting of managers, production and control of financial plan, implementation of modern management accounting techniques and employees participating in internal reporting. The survey was conducted in the insurance industry of the Republic of Croatia during 2019, in which 6 companies (33.4%) participated. The average number of years of using the ERP system is 13 years, which indicates the fact that the ERP system is represented in the insurance industry, which is characterized by successful implementation and a high degree of utilisation of its capabilities. According to the obtained results, ERP systems significantly increase the accuracy of data collected from society and the environment. Also, ERP systems significantly affect the internal reporting of managers by reducing the time required for monthly/quarterly internal reporting and increasing the frequency and number of different types of periodic reports. In addition, the time required to prepare a financial plan has been significantly reduced due to the implementation of the ERP system. Regarding the impact of the ERP system on the installation of modern management accounting techniques, the significance of the impact was found only in the use of target costs and the system of key performance indicators. The impact of the ERP system on employees participating in internal reporting has significantly reduced the time spent on collecting data for internal reporting as a result of the implementation of the ERP system. Given the above, the results of this research provide a more precise and clear insight into the impact of the ERP system on management accounting in the insurance business of the Republic of Croatia.

The paper provides an overview of the most important archaeological sites in the wider area of Ražanac, Podvršje and Ljubač, which date from prehistory to New Age. Since a significant part of the explored sites are located on natural hills, sea bays and water-rich areas, their role as a kind of catalyst in the promotion of cultural and natural beauty of the area is highlighted. In this context, localities have become important destinations in the development of cultural and sports tourism, as a unified form of the local community tourist offer. The position of Ljubljana above Ljubač (Castrum Liube) as a complex archaeological site that offers a layered historical story is especially noteworthy. Due to its natural environment, the mentioned position above Ljubač is ideal for setting up cultural and sports-recreational trails, and ultimately the area has excellent predispositions for the formation of an archaeological park in the future. Such a thing would certainly affect local economic growth and development. This is especially pronounced on the economic impact of the organization of cultural and sporting events.

The starting point of the text are different approaches that perceive ICT as an indispensable generally accepted trend in business, and which also introduce dynamic changes in the modern market-cultural tourist competition. In order to present more clearly the concept of cultural heritage as a marketable product, key elements of the cultural tourism industry will be discussed. The direct impact of the technological revolution on implementation of new operational modes adapted to new, fast and flexible generation of consumers within the sector of tourism will also be analysed. Aspects of ICT in cultural heritage as a development resource will be highlighted with a specific example of Art Nouveau cultural heritage through the S.O.S. Secession Tourist route Osijek - Subotica. The project is co-financed by European funds with the aim of developing and promoting a common cultural and tourist product based on secession. The importance of visual Art Nouveau identity as an integral part of local economic development and the associated application of ICT in project implementation will be presented.

Entrepreneurs have a key role in building a sustainable and competitive society. Although their success largely depends on themselves and their competencies, the environment in which they find themselves also plays a significant role in their activities. The more developed and stimulating the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the greater the chances that their ideas will also have a positive impact on the quality of life in their community. This paper answers two main research questions: a) whether all entrepreneurs have the same entrepreneurial traits and b) whether entrepreneurial efficiency depends on the development of the environment (region) in which entrepreneurs operate. The paper is based on a comparison of entrepreneurial traits and entrepreneurial environment in Osijek - Baranja and Dubrovnik - Neretva counties. Data obtained by the primary research on a sample of 25 entrepreneurs from Osijek - Baranja and 25 entrepreneurs from Dubrovnik - Neretva County who operate in activities related to tourism were analysed in the empirical section. Based on the conducted analysis, conclusions were made on the impact of entrepreneurial traits and business environment on the efficient business operation of entrepreneurs. The results of this research can serve as a basis for conducting more extensive research by collecting a larger representative sample, but also for new research that will focus on the impact of the degree of regional development on the growth and development of entrepreneurial ventures.

Although their success largely depends on themselves and their competencies, the environment in which they find themselves also plays a significant role in their activities. The more developed and stimulating the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the greater the chances that their ideas will also have a positive impact on the quality of life in their community. This paper answers two main research questions: a) whether all entrepreneurs have the same entrepreneurial traits and b) whether entrepreneurial efficiency depends on the development of the environment (region) in which entrepreneurs operate. The paper is based on a comparison of entrepreneurial traits and entrepreneurial environment in Osijek - Baranja and Dubrovnik - Neretva counties. Data obtained by the primary research on a sample of 25 entrepreneurs from Osijek - Baranja and 25 entrepreneurs from Dubrovnik - Neretva County who operate in activities related to tourism were analysed in the empirical section. Based on the conducted analysis, conclusions were made on the impact of entrepreneurial traits and business environment on the efficient business operation of entrepreneurs. ETIS is a tool that serves to improve the sustainability of the tourist destination, and the purpose of this research is to contribute to the application of this tool in the city of Split. The aim of the research was to determine the current situation and the possibilities of improvement by application of ETIS in Split. It was determined what data the City of Split is currently available for each indicator, and what additional existing data should be collected from other sources. Indicators that are not covered by the existing data need to be monitored by conducting survey questionnaires available in the ETIS toolkit. The analysis showed that the Environmental Impact indicators are the least covered by the existing data and it is primarily recommended to make an effort in collecting data within this group of indicators.

The paper investigates the performance and prognostic power of artificial neural network models in modelling and forecasting of time series of seasonal character. Models of artificial neural networks have been applied in modelling and forecasting the monthly total number of employees, the number of employed men and the number of employed women in the activity of providing accommodation services and preparing and serving food and beverages in the Republic of Croatia. The obtained modelling results have been compared with the results obtained by applying some of the traditionally used quantitative models in the analysis of seasonal time series, such as the Holt-Winters model of triple exponential smoothing and the seasonal multiplicative model of exponential trend. The evaluation of the performance and prognostic power of individual models was performed by comparing the average absolute and average absolute percentage error and the correlation coefficient between the actual and estimated values, and the predicted values were compared with the actual values. The evaluation of the obtained results showed that the selected model of acyclic multilayer perceptron is suitable for modelling and forecasting time series of seasonal character. The comparison of prognostic powers and actual and projected values of the number of employees suggests that the designed model of the artificial neural network is very reliable. This indicates that the models of artificial neural networks have great application potentials in the domain of modelling and forecasting of time series of a seasonal character.
