W dniach 5–7 marca 2020 roku odbyło się w Norymberdze 24. międzynarodowe sympozjum empirycznej pedagogiki religijnej zorganizowane w ramach sekcji Pedagogiki Religijnej Arbeitsgemeinschaft Katholische Religionspädagogik/Katechetik. Uczestniczyli w nim przedstawiciele z pięciu państw. W czwartek 5 marca odbyła się pierwsza część sympozjum adresowana do doktorantów skupiona wokół dwóch zagadnień. Dr Nicole Bauer z Uniwersytetu w Innsbrucku przedstawiła pola badawcze i metody oceny w empirycznej pedagogice religijnej. Chodzi tu o metody stosowane po zebraniu danych empirycznych w realizowanych badaniach. Na podstawie tych metod uzyskane dane należy odpowiednio ocenić i przeanalizować. Następnie PD dr Christian Höger z Freiburga przedstawił zagadnienie kodowania ankiet. PD dr Christian Höger omówił kodowanie otwarte w sensie ugruntowanej teorii za pomocą programu Maxqda oraz przedstawił praktyczne przykłady badań wykorzystujące tę metodę. Główną zasadą ugruntowanej teorii jest to, że teorie badaczy na dany temat są konstruowane na podstawie uzyskanych danych. Streszczenie Stworzenie człowieka w świadomości katechizowanej młodzieży. Katecheza głosząc Chrystusa bierze pod uwagę człowieka żyjącego w określonym kontekście społecznym i kulturowym. Punktem wyjścia w odniesieniu się do człowieka jest biblijny obraz człowieka. To biblijne spojrzenie na człowieka obecne jest w nauczaniu Kościoła od starożytności chrześcijańskiej aż po współczesność. Szczególne znaczenie dla rozumienia człowieka i jego obecności w świecie ma nauczanie Soboru Watykańskiego II. To spojrzenie jest pogłębiane przez kolejne dokumenty Kościoła jak Catechesi tradendae i Dyrektorium Ogólne o katechizacji. One wszystkie uwypuklają, że katecheza powinna być wierna Bogu i człowiekowi. Również dokumenty katechetyczne Kościoła w Polsce oraz Podstawa programowa katechezy i Program nauczania religii starają się realizować wizję człowieka zawartą w nauczaniu Kościoła.

The author of the paper described the current determinants of ordinary pastoral work in Poland. In the area of social and cultural context he pointed to structural changes in the society, diversity in the labour market, social pluralism, changes in values and lifestyles. In the field of religious determinants, the author pointed to multi-directional changes in religiosity. He pointed to the process of secularization. It results in a selective approach to the doctrine and religious practices and the individualization of religiosity. The paper also discusses the role of the Church in the context of civic and democratic society.

Ethiopian literature written in the Ge‘ez language is one of the largest literatures of the Christian East in terms of the number of works produced and preserved to the present days. Apart from original works, this literature is made up of translations of foreign works, among then the writings of the Church Fathers. However, the exact role played by these translations within the entire corpus of Ge‘ez writings is quite difficult to determine due to various philological and codicological problems. These problems derive from the particularities of the Ethiopian intellectual tradition in the course of ages. The translations, which were made from either Greek or Arabic originals, were often revised, made only partially, falsely attributed, inserted into thematic or calendar-based compilations. Furthermore, patristic writings were never a priority for the scholars and editors of Classical Ethiopic literature, who focused rather on Old Testament apocrypha, canonical-liturgical works and especially on original Ethiopian literary production. This means that the majority of the Ethiopic translations of Church Fathers is still not edited and available only through manuscripts. In the light of the above, describing the Ethiopian reception of even most basic figures such as John Chrysostom or Epiphanius of Salamis is a very difficult task. In some cases such analysis may however contribute to a better understanding of certain aspects of the history of the Ethiopian Ortohodox Church or even provide some additional information to our knowledge of the Greek originals.

A special difficulty in the reception of the Exhortation Amoris Laetitia is its eighth chapter, concerning the accompanying, discerning with and inclusion of persons who are in an irregular marital situation. The article presents undoubtedly the most important voice in this matter, namely the main thoughts from the guide, “The Eighth Chapter of the Apostolic Post-Synodal Exhortation Amoris Laetitia ” written by Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, chairman of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts (during the years 2007–2018). The author of the article portrays the idea and main themes of this document – a guidebook, building on and explaining the difficult topics of the papal exhortation. First, he emphasizes respect for the currently in force doctrine, and at the same time the necessity of pastoral care of people in irregular situations. Next, he illustrates the conditions in which these persons find themselves, and then illuminates the relations of doctrine and norms to the person in pastoral care.
