For the high percentage of the end-energy consumed in the building sector, different energy directives and codes of buildings have been laid down and energy standards for buildings have been classified in Germany. Ecological trends for buildings including energy efficiency, ecologic and economic sustainability as well as socially and environmentally-sound environments are gaining momentum. The Energon office building is introduced as a best practice case.

Some researches indicate that the bearing capacity of negative battle pile is less than that of positive batter pile under free pile head. But the head of the engineering pile is used under some constraints. So the horizontal bearing capacity is studied under different batter and different constraints at pile head by model experiments made by ourselves. The analysis indicates that (1) the horizontal capacity of the negative batter pile decreases as the batter angle decreases when the pile head is only translational, (2) the horizontal capacity of the negative batter translational pile is more than that of the positive batter free pile and (3) the proportional coefficients of the bearing capacity are provided under the experiment conditions.

Based on mesomechanics of concrete, the big recycled aggregate-filled Concrete is regarded as a type of three-phase composite heterogenous material composed of big recycled aggregate, self-compacted concrete and interfacial transition zone(ITZ). Random aggregate model is employed to stand for microscopic structure of big recycled aggregate-filled concrete. Uniaxial compression process is simulated by using finite element method and uniaxial compression numerical simulation results are in good agreement with corresponding experimental results. The results show that the most of destruction of the specimens occurs in the ITZ between self-compacted concrete and big recycled aggregate, and discarded bricks are not suitable to produce big recycled aggregate-filled concrete with high-strength.

Located in the north suburb of Sanshui district in Foshan, Xujiang Temple was a hall-style temple dedicated to Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism gods. Though first built in the Song Dynasty, it remained the amazing appearance and decorative arts skills as a good representative of the ancient buildings in Lingnan district after the vicissitudes of life. In this paper, Wudang temple was taken as an example to investigate the outstanding value of the architectural features and decorative arts in it by means of analyzing the building site selection, layout style, elevation features, space frames, architectural decoration and other aspects.

Combined with the case study on the landscape design of Tianluhu Forest Park entrance area, this paper analyzed and summarized the climate-adapted landscape design strategies in the hot-humid region. Furthermore, through analyzing the thermal environment measured results of the first phase of this case, this paper gives suggestions by describing the advantages and disadvantages of the typical design practice in order to benefit regional landscape study.

Aiming at the difficulty and shortage in stiffness calculation and analysis for in-service bridges, according to plane cross - section assumption and finite element theory, deduces solving equations of longitudinal N- sections stiffness, using deflection testing results to correct longitudinal stiffness of bridges, and implement real beam outdoor test to verify the theory. The experimental results show that the deflection theoretical value for each measure point in longitudinal beam, which is caculated by new article algorithm, coincides well with the experimental ones. This method can be used to calculate longitudinal stiffness defect caused by all kinds of damage, lock damage range quickly, estimate damage degree effectively, and distinguish damage condition for the whole longitudinal beam accurately. The comparison and analysis indicate that the stiffness calculated by this algorithm has higher precision than the ones calculated by bridge standard. It reflects the whole damage status for in - service bridges veritably and reliably, which is easy for the engineers to identify invisible bridge damage areas and evaluate the bridge service lives.

Three dimensional nonlinear dynamic analysis was carried out by finite element software named CANNY. The whole structure analysis including frame-shear wall structure, local large-span spatial structure and post-tensioned prestressed structure was proposed. The results show that the whole structure is good under forces, and slight damage is found even under rare earthquake. Nodes of space truss are destroyed after yielding of main members, and ultimate bearing capacity is fully played. Nodes of steel reinforced concrete column-steel truss show favorable properties on bearing capacity, ductility, capacity of deformation and energy dissipation, and seismic behavior is satisfied.

The traditional monitoring equipment cannot satisfy the request of immediate response for slope instability. This study is aim to provide a simple, effective and immediate alarm system to reduce the damage as much as possible by real time before disasters happens, and take reaction at once. The advanced, high technology of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is firstly introduced for this application in Taiwan. MEMS tilt meter, sensitivity with 0.5 degree in X Y direction is used for monitoring the changes from features of slope stability IEEE standard of ZigBee is applied for wireless communication network. Since this intelligent WSN system contains sensors, wireless transmission, and low power supply, each single node becomes a data collection and transmission base. This study, a trial program has significant results show that for any movement from the slope surface, the sensor data can pass through all the nodes. And to reach the server station, then the reaction from management office can be taken at once.

Zonal disintegration has attracted the attention of many experts and scholars, also is the theoretical and practical issue to be solved in deep rock engineering. Based on the typically geological and mining conditions of Xinwen coal mine area, first, the compressive strength of rock samples which were taken from deep roadway was tested in the laboratory, and the layer thickness was identified according to compressive strength. Then, the failure characteristics were detected with strata exploring instrument. The result shows that zonal disintegration exists in surrounding rock of deep roadway, the location of fracture zone is almost the same with that of weak structural layer. When the initial stress is larger than the uniaxial compressive strength of rock in deep rock engineering, it is the external factor of zonal disintegration formation, at the same time, the weak structural layer is the internal factor.

Lime-ash is semi-rigid material. It widely used in the construction of the highway subbase. Studying on engineering characteristic of lime-ash is mature. but, it always separately considered static force and motive power on studying the characteristic of lime-ash. It is different from practical situation. So, loading motive power in the model first, then carrying out commom triaxial test. The testing method is more similar with practical situation. The testing can be used to study the strength of lime-ash. The result of testing can be used to compare the index of shear strength of loading motive power before and after. Practial designing can rely the analysis result.
