Thermal nitrogen oxide (NO) emission is the major pollutant from industrial furnace. High temperature air combustion is an advanced technology to control NO emission, which carries out the combustion at highly preheated air and dilute oxygen conditions. The combustion performance of natural gas with highly preheated air was numerically simulated in an industrial furnace with a longitudinal and swirling burner respectively. The probability density function (PDF) combustion model, discrete ordinate (DO) radiation model and the Reynolds stress turbulent model (RM) were adopted for the modeling. Results showed that swirling burner was effective to reduce the final NO emission and improve the fuel burnout. When the longitudinal burner was substituted by a swirling burner with 180° swirling angle, the NO emission decreased from 35.2 ppm to 12.3 ppm, while the maximum and mean temperature in the furnace increased 38K and 58K. The CO emission also decreased from 379 ppm to 29 ppm, which implied a better burnout was achieved.

In order to analyze the effect of slag on the anti-abrasion of pavement concrete, based on the development of test platform for concrete abrasion, mass loss of slag concrete with different water-binder ratio and slag content was measured. And the relationship between mechanical properties and mass loss was analyzed. The results show it is the effective way to slow down such abrasion erosion by strengthening the mechanical properties. The ability of anti-abrasion of slag concrete is decreased with the increasing water-binder ratio. For the slag concrete with made with a water to binder ratio of 0.35, the abrasion erosion rate was the minimum for the concrete with 45% slag content, namely, such a concrete has the best abrasion erosion resistance.

Considering the influence of relevance among multi-factors on buildings' damage, the power transmission mechanism that can reflect the damage relevance is introduced to the appraisal standard of damage in dangerous houses (JGJ125-99) hierarchical fuzzy evaluation model. The item description model uses the model of force-delivery tree, puts forward new housing risk and risk rating formulas derivation method of model parameters. The safety appraisal of practical application for Ezhou city primary school by Hubei province shows that the item dangerous evaluation model considering damage can reduce error of judgment.

In this text we introduce The Ruili wave method to measure compound groundsill resistance shake. And compare with result of static load and power touch method. Through comparing with the spot test result, The Ruili wave method to measure compound groundsill resistance shake is dependable, but also can be used to measure many points. It may give result by layering and test result is more representational.

Integrating rigid rim with flexible cables, flexible giant Ferris wheel is huge in figure and special in structure form. The boundary conditions are very complex and it is much influenced by the sensitivity factors such as temperature, defect, and redundancy. Combined with a project example of flexible giant Ferris wheel, mechanical performance for rim and cables were analyzed. The rational initial prestress was chosen to optimize the structural behaviour. The stability analysis considering the initial imperfection was performed to research the nonlinear buckling characteristics. Taking the geometric and material nonlinearity into account, the elasto-plastic limit bearing capacity analysis revealed the structural characteristics comprehensively. The results indicated that: nonlinear characteristics of flexible giant Ferris wheel is obvious due to the introduction of prestressed cable; mechanical performance of the structure depends on the initial prestressing force; the wheel consisting of radiate spoke cables and space truss provides strong lateral stiffness as well as torsional stiffness and the stability performance is favorable; the plastic development mechanism is beneficial and the elasto-plastic limit bearing capacity is so large that the wheel can satisfy the need both for operating condition and for storm condition.

Anisotropy of granular material has been proved by experiment, but the current design specifications are also based on isotropic theory, it is not safe for asphalt pavement structure, there is a greater change for pavement life with the less change of surface deflection. Based on linear-anisotropic model, on the condition of the high, medium and low strength of soil subgrade, 4 different thickness of asphalt layer and 3 different thickness and strength of granular sub-base are been systematically studied, the results show that, the strength of the soil subgrade has bigger effect on the pavement deflection because of the granular anisotropy, the bigger deflection difference of the low to the high subgrade is up to 63.7%, the biggest deflection correction factor is up to 1.05 with the thickness of asphalt layer, the effect is not obvious for the strength, thickness and anisotropy of granular sub-base to the surface deflection, but it has the greater effect on the deflection correction factor, the biggest correction factor is up to 1.055 and 1.1 for the granular strength and thickness, the relation of granular anisotropy to deflection correction factor is inverse, the biggest factor may be up to 1.045.

Huayuan Historic Blocks in Harbin has shown a decline in vitality and unsuitability of large-scale updates of the surrounding constructions. Based on these situations, the present study is using the method of environmental behavior to collect and analyze the everyday activities of the local residents without damaging the characteristics of the street. Then it explores the ways that can promote the residents' living and participatory activities from the perspective of infrastructure construction and physical space shaping. An environment behavior strategy of enhancing the vitality of Huayuan Historic Blocks is also proposed.

Based on static loading experimental study of the behaviors about co-action on press, bending and shear of the walls, studies were carried out to investigate performance of deflection and ductility, attenuation feature of resisting shear and moment stiffness of the wall. The results indicated that deflection of the wall are made up shear and bending deflection, and possess ‘bending-sheari type’. Elastic resisting shear and moment stiffness of the wall can be calculated with equivalent stiffness principle, converting composite wall into concrete shear-wall. In the normal use stage, elastic-plastic deflection of the wall would be enlarged nonlinear. The results can provide a support for study finite element model of the deflection performance under co-action of press, bending and shear, and establishing the calculation method of deflection of the walls.
