Tm-doped GdVO/sub 4/ laser longitudinally pumped by 808 nm laser diode 808 nm激光二极管纵向泵浦tm掺杂GdVO/sub - 4/激光器

In this study, a Tm:GdVO/sub 4/ crystal grown by the Czochralski (CZ) technique was investigated. We pumped the crystal with an 808 nm LD and obtained a slope efficiency of 12.2 %, the maximum value reported for LD-pumped Tm:GdVO/sub 4/.

Modeling the transport phenomena during dual beam laser welding process 双光束激光焊接过程中输运现象的建模

The objective of this paper is to establish mathematical models and the associated numerical techniques to calculate the transient heat transfer and fluid flow in the melt pool, and to understand the mechanisms leading to the oval shape of the melt pool during dual beam laser welding. By combining several Nd:Yag lasers one can increase the total output power to achieve deep penetration.

Metallo-diphthalocyanine embedded polymer host for nanosecond optical limiting 用于纳秒光学限制的金属-酞菁嵌入聚合物宿主

In this work we present the nanosecond optical limiting of two rare earth metallo-diphthalocyanines, namely Sm(Pc)/sub 2/ and Eu(Pc)/sub 2/ in a co-polymer matrix of methyl methacrylate and methyl-2-cyanoacrylate. We have used 9 nanosecond laser pulses at 532 nm from a frequency doubled Nd:YAG laser for the optical limiting measurements. It is found that the presence of metallo-phthalocyanines in the co-polymer matrix reduces its damage threshold.

Optical parametric oscillator based lidar system applied to atomic mercury monitoring 光学参量振荡器激光雷达在原子汞监测中的应用

Field measurements of mercury emissions has been performed by using a mobile lidar system. In this system an Nd:YAG-pumped OPO (Optical Parametric Oscillator) laser system is employed to generate a narrow band (better than 0.2 cm/sup -1/) UV beam at the mercury resonance absorption line at 253.65 nm. An inter-comparison of the lidar system and two different point monitoring systems has been performed showing excellent agreement between the instruments.

Optical spectroscopy of individual segments of interband cascade diode laser Nanostacks/spl reg/ 带间级联二极管激光器各段光谱学研究

Monolithically stacked high-power laser structures, i.e. device structures that include two or more nominally identical waveguide segments separated by a specially designed tunnel junction, are designed as high-brightness coherent radiation source predominantly for pulsed operation applications. Additional technological advantages are related to reduced operation currents that need to be provided by the power supply. Such so-called Nanostack/spl reg/ structures are investigated by near-field scanning optical microscopy (NSOM). This method provides straightforward and separate access to the properties of both optically active segments. Device emission, namely electroluminescence (EL) and lasing, as well as photoluminescence (PL) and photocurrent (PC) data are recorded separately from both device segments with ultra-high spatial resolution.

This article deals with the investigation of a thin saturable absorber layer of Co/sup 2+/:YAG deposited directly on the active Er,Yb:YAG substrate, by means of LPE technique. Such epitaxial structure is designed to fabricate Q-switched microchip laser operating at 1530 nm. The Co/sup 2+/:YAG layers were grown from a supercooled molten garnet-flux (PbO-B/sub 2/O/sub 3/) high temperature solution using a standard isothermal LPE dipping technique.

Medium-power diode-pumped operation of Nd:BaY/sub 2/F/sub 8/ 中功率二极管泵浦Nd:BaY/sub 2/F/sub 8/

We reported a detailed investigation of a low-power diode-pumped Nd:BaY/sub 2/F/sub 8/. Here we summarize the results of a nearly 10-fold power-scaled Nd:BaY/sub 2/F/sub 8/ pumped by a 12-W fiber-coupled diode array. In conclusions, Nd:BaY/sub 2/F/sub 8/ seems a promising material for high-power diode-pumped lasers, specially for applications requiring thermally-insensitive resonator performances, such as cw intracavity doubling, where thermal diffractive losses must be also carefully controlled.
