Criteria of integration of sociability and physical environment in sustainable developments (The case study of Malaysia) 可持续发展中社交性和自然环境的整合标准(马来西亚案例研究)

Can you imagine the future image of the cities without implementation of sustainable development? Nowadays, sustainable development is one of the most important issues that its social and physical aspects are strongly recommended. Formation of social sustainability depends on sustainable social relations, which in the field of urban design, emphasis on the space as a platform for the formation of these relationships is considered. On the other hand, the physical and spatial variables affect the responsiveness of environment, which influenced on the election and the presence of the people in outer urban spaces like streets. What is common idea in urban design is a direct relationship between physical environment and sociability of the streets. At the moment, in the cities, there are large numbers of the streets which aren't well prepared for presence of people despite of having high level of accessibility. Thus, a well-defined relationship should be exists between the accessibility rate and sociability of the streets in which if the accessibility rate excide from maximum desirable amount, a decrease will be observed in the sociability amount. The aim of this study provides criteria about physical design in relation to sociability amount of the urban streets. On this basis, fundamental research questions are: 1. How is the relationship between physical environment and sociability levels in urban streets? 2. How much access to urban streets is suitable with regard to social, socio — physical and spatial aspects? 3. What activities can support accessibility and sociability of the streets? The key problem is loss of urban activities in urban streets. Doing the above, identification of a practical and theoretical framework for measuring the function of urban street networks is the main findings of this study that the proposed framework considers the functions of streets in dynamic and static activities of people. Moreover, suggestion of the appropriate functions for streets according to the accessibility rate and expected sociability of streets is another outcome of this research. The research methodology is based on observation (gate observation, people following, and static activities), interview, and axial analysis in the case study of Malaysia.

An optimal method for narrowband interference mitigation in the GPS GPS中窄带干扰抑制的优化方法

In this paper an optimal method for reducing interference to narrowband GPS interference is presented. In this method, Fast Transversal RLS algorithm is used. An Adaptive Temporal Filter (ATF) based on a Transversal form that pre-filters the interference before correlation is studied. This algorithm is designed to provide similar performance to the standard RLS algorithm while reducing the computation order. The adaptive algorithm used to adjust the filter coefficients is the FT-RLS algorithm. This algorithm has faster convergence and is independent of the gradient step size when compared to LMS, NLMS, RLS, QR-decomposition-based RLS and Sliding window-RLS algorithms. We present initial results on the performance of the described interference cancellation methods.

An image encryption model based on using Frei-Chen bases 基于Frei-Chen基的图像加密模型

With the recent advances in internet and multimedia technologies by which the exchange and the transmission of information became easy, encryption methods have been proposed to protect confidential and secure digital data from illegal access. In this paper, we propose a new image encryption model that uses the Frei-Chen bases. The projections of the Frei-Chen bases on the image are used to represent the encrypted image. The proposed model has been tested on a large number of images and is shown to be secure and effective.

Active control of smart beam with time delay 延时智能波束的主动控制

Active control of a flexible beam is investigated using time-delayed piezoelectric actuator. A minimization problem is formulated that consists of finding the control voltage applied to a piezoelectric patch actuator which suppresses the dynamic responses of the beam at a specified terminal time with least control effort. The solution method is based on a combination of modal expansion and direct approximation approaches. The modal expansion approach is used to convert the optimal control problem of distributed parameter system (DPS) into the optimal control problem of a linear time-invariant lumped parameter system (LPS). A direct state-control parametrization approach is proposed where wavelets are employed to solve time delayed LPS. The operational matrices of integration and delay are utilized to reduce the solution of linear time-varying delayed systems to the solution of algebraic equations. An illustrative example is included to demonstrate the applicability and the efficiency of the proposed method and the results are quite satisfactory.

A preconditioner construction for domain decomposition analysis of large scale 3D magnetostatic problems 大尺度三维静磁问题区域分解分析的预条件构造

An iterative domain decomposition method is applied to numerical analysis of 3-dimensional (3D) linear magnetostatic problems taking the magnetic vector potential as an unknown function. The iterative domain decomposition method is combined with the Preconditioned Conjugate Gradient (PCG) procedure and the Hierarchical Domain Decomposition Method (HDDM) which is adopted in parallel computing. Our previously employed preconditioner was the Neumann-Neumann method. Numerical results showed that the method was only effective for smaller problems. In this paper, we consider its improvement with the Balancing Domain Decomposition (BDD) preconditioner.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) emission reduction targeting is an important move in atmospheric CO2 concentration control. Idea of applying HEN retrofit and fuel switching in existing plant has been proposed to be applied simultaneously in achieving CO2 emissions reduction. Graphical approach combining the mentioned idea has been proposed, but involves potentially time consuming manual procedures. Besides, quality of solution produced greatly depends on designer's experience and judgment, and graphical approach hardly account for the cost factor during the design phase, thus potentially generate complex design. This paper introduces a MINLP model for simultaneous CO2 emissions reduction targeting via fuel switching and HEN retrofit for existing plant. A model execution strategy was proposed along with proposed model. Application of proposed model onto case study proven workability of the model to generates solution for targeted CO2 emissions reduction in minimum payback period manner.

A game-theoretic multi-level optimization model for control of an international biofuel market 国际生物燃料市场控制的博弈论多层次优化模型

This paper presents a game theoretic multi-level optimization model that aims to control the international biofuel market, driving it towards the desired scenario. The resulting model gives an interpretation of the different scenarios that could face real world energy systems. The upper level decision maker, an international body, aims to maximize the total amount of biofuel that is locally produced by each of the lower level decision makers, the countries involved, through setting appropriate adjustments on the international price. On the other hand, each country wants to minimize the cost that they individually incur from the purchase or production of biofuels in meeting their demand, subject to the price adjustments given by the national government. This interaction results in a Stackelberg game. A case study based on the international ethanol trading system is used to demonstrate the model.

This paper addresses a scheduling problem known in the job-shop industrial environment and recommends solving the problem using the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and an add-in that provides Genetic Algorithm which is capable of solving complex scheduling problems. The authors selected total weighted tardiness and sum of earliness and tardiness penalties as performance measures to determine the quality of the solution. The contribution of this paper is the fact that it demonstrates to the practitioners involved in complex scheduling problems that Microsoft Excel, which is mostly used as spreadsheet software, with appropriate add-ins can be used to solve such complex scheduling problems. Moreover, the paper uses a job-shop benchmark instance available in the OR-Library with some modification to show the capability of the proposed approach.

Proposal of whole surface inspection system by simultaneous six-image capture of prolate spheroid-shaped fruit and vegetables 长形球形果蔬六像同时采集全表面检测系统的提出

Up to now, most fruit and vegetables are sorted manually by visual comparison with a standard table. Manual sorting of fruit and vegetables causes long and tough work every harvest and the individual difference of sorting criteria. To overcome the problems, we have proposed a whole surface inspection system of fruit and vegetables with uniform selection criteria especially for prolate spheroid-shaped ones. The proposed system is constructed by a sensor-driven independent conveyance system, which separates one target from the group of them. After the whole surface of the separated target is captured using six cameras, the size, the shape, and the bruise of the target are inspected by using the captured images, respectively. In this paper, the inspection ability of the proposed system is evaluated and analyzed by using red and green bell peppers and yellow paprika.

Single input fuzzy controller (SFLC) based maximum power point tracking 基于最大功率点跟踪的单输入模糊控制器

This paper presents a single input fuzzy controller (SFLC) for adjusting the duty cycle of a photovoltaic (PV) charger to extract the maximum power out of a PV panel. The algorithm is based on maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and is compared with two conventional MPPT techniques, namely the Hill climbing method and the two input fuzzy controller method. The PV system design and modeling is described for a 150 watt standalone PV system with a buck converter charger. The performance of the proposed system is analyzed through numerical simulation and compared to the conventional methods.
