It is revealed that quantum repeaters and quantum seals have a very close relationship, thus the theory in one field can be applied to the other. We give examples of novel results found by applying the existing theory of quantum seals on quantum repeater problem.

The atmospheric correction for the ocean color remote sensing is the most important technique to retrieve the waterleaving radiance, which is less than about 10% of the satellite radiance. In Case II waters, the standard atmospheric correction method embedded in SeaDAS frequently yields negative waterleaving radiance, and its major uncertainties are occurred by the estimation error of atmospheric aerosols that is highly variable in both space and time. In this paper, a modified atmospheric correction method was proposed to correct the atmospheric aerosol effect in Case II waters. The aerosol information derived from multi-angles data in Case II waters and then modify the standard atmospheric correction algorithm to retrieve the waterleaving radiance. From the comparison of the standard atmospheric correction algorithm and the modified atmospheric correction algorithm, the results showed that the modified atmospheric correction method could be effective in Case II waters. A novel fiber optic F-P electromagnetic sensor is developed based on magnetic fluid as the medium in F-P interference cavity. A signal demodulation method based on fiber Bragg grating wavelength scanning is proposed. Theory and principle of electromagnetic-controlled refractive index of the magnetic fluid is described as well as the structure of the sensor system. Preliminary experiments are carried out, and the results indicate that there is a fairly good linearity of the measurement characteristic, and the thickness of magnetic fluid film and environmental temperature will affect the measurement results.

A method to fabricated Eu3+-immersed in porous glass microspheres is reported. The fabricated glass microspheres and the porous glass microspheres are characterized by scanning electroscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and the sizes of glass microspheres and the sizes of aperture of the porous glass microspheres are estimated, respectively. The photoluminescence spectroscopy of the Euimmersed in porous glass microspheres is tested. The fluorescent and emission spectra indicate that the characteristics of the Eu3+immersed in porous glass microspheres result from D0 F0, D0 F1 and D0 F2 transitions with increasing wavelength. In this paper, a 10-Gb/s, 95-dB, 20-mW optical receiver front-end is realized in a 0.13- m CMOS technology for high speed serial interface. To guarantee 10-Gb/s operation using low cost photodiode, the effect of inherent photodiode parasitic capacitance should be suppressed. Thus, LC-ladder filter and modified common-gate amplifier is exploited as the input stage of pre amplifier. To enhance the bandwidth, capacitive degeneration, active feedback, and negative impedance compensation, and inversely scaling technique are exploited in pre and post amplifier.

Delayed fluorescence (DF) is the phenomenon of longlived photon emission by plant after being illuminated with light and put into darkness. In field study, the intensity of DF is reported to be a measure of photosynthetic capacity (marked as PhC). In this research, a new method was developed, which used unsaturated light-induced DF intensity (in this research, marked as IDF) to represent plant PhC. The proposed method prolonged the sustainable working hours of DF detection system. Hence, it was more appropriate than saturated light condition for field study. In order to examine the new method, four different species were chosen as samples to compare IDF with net photosynthetic rate (Pn) under different intensities of excitation light. The results showed that there is an excellent linear correlation between them (R≥0.947). The experimental results testified that unsaturated light-induced IDF can represent the plant PhC.

Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD), one of the most widely used techniques in modern microelectronics, is firstly employed to prepare ferromagnetic ZnO-based and TiO2-based magnetic semiconductors at low deposition temperature without any carrier gas. ZnO-based films show excellent photoluminescence at room temperature. All doped oxide films show room-temperature ferromagnetic behaviors by using superconducting quantum interference device measurements. Magnetic ions incorporating into host lattice and the exclusion of secondary phase in films are confirmed by microstructure analysis and magnetic results, such as XRD, XPS, PL and FC/ZFC. In order to gain insights into the effect of oxygen vacancies or nitrogen implantation on ferromagnetism of oxide-based semiconductors, all films were annealed in N2 ambience at 900 or treated in NH3 or O2 plasma at 350 . The results indicated the crucial role of hole-carriers or oxygenvacancies playing in the ferromagnetic coupling between magnetic ions in oxide-based semiconductors.

Principle, structure design, and experimental setup of a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor with a simple signal detection method for demodulation of resonance wavelength shift of the FBG are introduced, which uses a cascade self-demodulated fiber Bragg grating pair attached respectively on the upper and lower surface of a pendulum-type cantilever element instead of a twice reflection FBG pair structure for both parameter sensing and wavelength shift signal demodulating. In addition, crosssensitivity effect of FBG-based sensor automatically solved due to a differential signal process method. With this demodulation method, current, and vibration measurement experiments are carried out. Experimental results indicate that current measurement error of ±1mA can be obtained within the whole range from 0 to 400mA, vibration measurement are also obtained based on the present experiment setup.
