An alpha motoneuron pool model to analyse EMG measured reflex output 用于分析肌电图测量反射输出的α运动神经元池模型

The intrinsic properties of the human soleus alpha motoneuron pool and the surface EMG are modelled. The model consists of an alpha motoneuron pool model generating the firing patterns of motor units in a human soleus muscle and a muscle model simulating the soleus surface EMG. The model is able to give a quantitative prediction of the motoneuron pool activity and the reflex EMG output at different excitation levels. The simulated data are consistent with experimentally obtained results. The simulations show that the reflex strength is highly dependent on the intrinsic threshold properties of the alpha motoneuron pool during static isometric muscle contractions.

The effect of spatial clustering of motor fibers in a nerve fascicle on force recruitment during electrical stimulation 电刺激时神经束运动纤维空间聚集对力恢复的影响

Force recruitment curves have been determined using stimulation with an intraneural wire electrode. The recruitment curves vary with the position of the electrode in the fiber bundle. The results seem to support previous findings which indicated that the low density of nodes of Ranvier and a possible clustering of motor fibers within the fiber bundle might have a major impact on the efficacy of intraneural electrical stimulation.

Electrode geometry and preferential stimulation of spinal nerve fibers having different orientations: A modeling study 电极几何形状和不同取向脊神经纤维的优先刺激:模型研究

In a computer modeling study of epidural spinal cord stimulation using a longitudinal array of electrode contacts, the effect of contact geometry and contact combination on the threshold voltages for stimulation of dorsal column (DC) fibers and dorsal root (DR) fibers was investigated. It was concluded that DC-fiber stimulation will be favoured when a tripolar combination and small contact length and spacing are used, while DR-fiber stimulation will be favoured when unipolar stimulation and large contact length are used.

The potential distribution in volume conductor models of the spinal cord at cervical, midthoracic and lowthoracic levels, due to epidural stimulation, was, calculated. Treshold stimuli of modeled myelinated dorsal column and dorsal root fibers were calculated and were compared with perception thresholds obtained from measurements in patients at corresponding spinal levels.

Use of calcium sulfate for thermoluminescent thermal dosimetry 用硫酸钙进行热释光热剂量测定

The authors proposed the use of manganese-doped calcium sulfate irradiated for thermal dosimetry. This thermoluminescent compound shows a high sensitivity to temperatures ranging between 40°C and 50°C. Calibration procedure and experiments on sonicated meat are presented showing the feasibility of the method.

Several considerations about the problems in implementing intelligent monitoring schemes in ischemia surveillance are given. A layered approach to the design of an intelligent monitoring and management system for ischemic patients in the CCU/ICU is proposed.
