IBIS models are widely used in I/O related signal integrity simulations. This paper points out the problems with the present IBIS model in power integrity related simulations. A new proposal of adding some additional information to the existing IBIS standard to expand its capability in SSN and other power integrity related simulations are introduced. The processes to extract this information from transistor-level Spice model and implement the new proposal in existing IBIS tools are illustrated by using an example in HSPICE. The accuracy of the new proposed model is verified in simulations with nonideal power supply

Analysis of transient EMI of air-insulated substation disconnect operation based Wigner-Ville distribution 基于Wigner-Ville分布的空气绝缘变电站断开运行暂态电磁干扰分析

The operations experiments of disconnect have been given in 220 kV air insulated substation, the conductive signals of electromagnetic interference have been obtained from potential transformer (PT) and capacitance voltage transformer (CVT) and primary analysis has been given. In order to find out the relationship of time-frequency domain and signal energy, Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD) is used to further analysis. The result reveals that the main frequency of the interference signal is mainly connected with parameters of the equipments in the substation and the configuration of the substation, other than disconnect operation time and speed. It is possible to filter the energy of high-frequency caused by disconnect or breaker operation.

Efficient simulation of EMI induced in the platform-mounted antennas using a hybrid moment method-physical optics method 基于矩量法-物理光学混合方法的平台天线电磁干扰仿真研究

In this paper, the wire antenna mounted on an electrically large platform is analyzed. The antenna and its nearby region are modeled using moment method, while other regions are modeled using physical optics. The number of unknowns and computing time are greatly reduced compared with the original moment method. At the same time, we propose a simple model of current expansion for the junction of more than two triangles, which provides accurate and robust results both in moment method and physical optics solutions. Several numerical examples are presented to show the accuracy and efficiency of this hybrid method and the proposed current model.

In this paper, the shielding of an enclosure with contents is described with particular emphasis on the frequency range of above 1 GHz. A statistical approach is taken to account for the complex nature of shielding at these higher frequencies. A measurement set-up is described as used in an anechoic chamber. Numerical simulations based on the transmission-line matrix (TLM) modeling method are also performed in order to complement the experiment work. The work is undertaken to inform the new work on IEEE Std 299. It should be stressed that the work is not finalized and that the purpose of this paper is to report on progress and elicit comment.

In this paper, we present an overview of techniques for meshing EMC and signal or power integrity problems for the PEEC method. For these problems, the geometries usually consist of complex heterogeneous mixed circuit and electromagnetic structures. Hence, these structures include different complex mixed electrical and electromagnetic details unlike, for example, a more homogeneous scattering problem. One of the issues of interest are minimizing the complexity of the meshing while preserving sufficient accuracy. We consider some of the fundamental mixed-problem meshing issues and some of the algorithmic issues which are important for this class of problems when the partial element equivalent circuit approach is applied.

Broadband suppression of SSN and radiated emissions using high-DK thin film EBG power distribution network for high-speed digital PCB applications 高速数字PCB应用中使用高dk薄膜EBG配电网络宽带抑制SSN和辐射发射

In this paper, the great advantages of a high dielectric constant thin film EBG power distribution network (PDN) for the suppression of power/ground noises and radiated emissions in high-performance multi-layer digital PCBs were experimentally demonstrated. Five-layer test PCBs were fabricated and their self PDN impedance and S/sub 21/ measured. The power plane noises and radiated emissions were measured, investigated and related to the PDN impedance. This successfully demonstrated that the band-gap of the EBG was extended more than three times, covering a range from 300 MHz to 3.6 GHz using feasible EBG cell size (1 cm /spl times/ 1 cm), the power plane noise was reduced greatly over a broadband spectrum including hundreds of MHz range and the radiated emission was suppressed by 22 dB owing to the outstanding noise isolation efficiency of the high dielectric constant thin film EBG PDN.

Current probe characterization in a reverberation chamber 混响室中的电流探头特性

The paper presents how it is possible to characterize a current probe in terms of its transfer impedance inside a reverberation chamber. The probe clamps a floating wire placed inside the working volume of the chamber and the current on the wire is calculated from the knowledge of the total average field in the working volume, measured by a tri-axial field sensor.
