In the passage of time, the number of population in Dhaka city is increasing very rapidly. Most parts of this city are highly affected by the huge traffic jam. Peoples of all ages have to suffer and valuable times are being wasted for this longstanding hobble. The inadequate and inadvertent parking system is one of the main reasons for causing traffic congestion. Our prime aim is to develop a smart-phone based car parking model to minimize traffic jam and to ensure efficient car parking facilities in Dhaka city. To attain our aim we have designed and simulated a prototype of reservation based car parking system. Our developed smart-phone application will help the users to find the available parking spot in the nearest location. To maintain the parking details of different users a Java SE application has been developed.

Steering of water vehicles is mainly dependent on the aero and hydrodynamic forces. The adverse situation caused by any of the natural disasters inhibits the movement of vehicles. During the hostile situation, the most important thing is safety. In this paper, a method to compute the optimal safe position for water vehicles during instability caused by the vulnerable swing is proposed. A 3-axis accelerometer is used to obtain the roll, pitch, and yaw angles, and using these, we derive a function which gives us the instantaneous instability of the vehicle. If the instability exceeds a predefined threshold, our proposed method calculates the safe angle to reach the optimal safe position. This method is computationally efficient and is suitable for on-board real-time implementation as well as autonomous marine robotic vehicles.

This paper proposes a simplified structure of microcontroller based mechanical ventilator integrated with a Bag-Valve-Musk (BVM) ventilation mechanism. Here, an Ambu bag is operated with computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) arm that is commanded via a microcontroller and manual switches by sending a control signal to the mechanical system and according to this control signal, the mechanical computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) arm simultaneously compresses and decompresses the Ambu bag. It is a self-inflating bag and like a one-way valve around its inlet and outlet corner. By compressing the Ambu bag it delivers air and by relaxing, it takes air from the environment through a mechanical scavenger. The control signals are designed with three modes named adult mode, pediatric mode, and child mode based on the respiratory rate. The device is in assist controlled mode by dint of fixing the tidal volume for all unique control signals. The control signal is visualized by a platform known as the BIOPAC student’s lab system. The proposed device is portable, compact, low weight, and efficient performable. It can be supplied around the rural area hospitals for immediate medication with cost efficiency and risk avoidance. Anyone can operate it as no need to study or training of ventilation rules like ICU ventilator. The proposed system is safe, riskless, and repairable. The angle, volume, and respiratory measurement have found 95%, 92%, and 90% accuracy respectively. By applying this portable ventilator system immediate attention can be taken up in rural or general hospitals and in ambulances.

In recent years, the need for reliable, short-ranged underwater wireless communication has been proliferated because of the surge in underwater exploration. Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSN) can be used in vehicles and sensors to perform collaborative monitoring and data collection task. Due to the high density and contamination, limited bandwidth, high propagation delay, media access control, and power constraint underwater communication is a very challenging task. Researchers developed different research methodologies to overcome this problem. In this paper, an acoustic communication-based system is proposed by using Piezo-Ceramic transducers and practically developed. The acoustic wave can travel easily in water without much attenuation. Piezo-Ceramic transducer creates vibration according to the electrical pulses and does not need much modification of real data signal. This paper describes a wireless low-cost acoustic system for underwater communication. The system is built with some filters and amplifiers and power booster circuits. Finally, a cost effective underwater communication system is proposed that has been successfully implemented on a submarine bot.

This study presents a security system for transporting or storing valuable while restricting unauthorized access. The system consists of Memory Module, PIR sensor, fingerprint security, Encoder-Decoder, RF module, GPS and GSM module etc. to provide the maximum level of security. The proposed security system can be a major uplift in transporting important documents, money or ornaments from one place to another especially for banks in transporting valuables as the proposed security system is designed in such a way that the vault can only be opened by an authorized person, in specific places, using proper credentials, hence providing maximum security.

Compressive Sensing (CS) has added a great advantage in signal processing because it requires significant computation through which a Cognitive Radio (CR) user can find an opportunity in the wideband spectrum. In this paper, CS will be used to estimate a noteworthy part of a wideband spectrum. This structure reduces computational burden and improves the detection performance. In this paper, a cooperative cognitive radio network will be considered, where CS will be applied to identify the main differences between cooperative strategy and non-cooperative strategy of spectrum sensing. The four fading channels (Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN), Rayleigh, Rician, and Nakagami channel) have been considered for the investigation under fading effect. In the end, a comparative analysis has been carried out to find out the most effective spectrum sensing strategy.

This paper implies and demonstrates a unique Smart Autonomous power and switch controlled Led Street Lighting System for Bangladesh. As we live in the age of globalization where streetlights are very much important for a city infrastructure in the crowded regions, the autonomous power and switching of these streetlights can have a huge impact in our electricity usage and minimize the wastage of electricity. Usually street light is needed at the time of sunset until the sunrise, but during peak hours (time 17:00 pm to 20:00 pm), the electricity demand is higher than electricity supply from the National Grid for many under developing countries including Bangladesh as this is the high time of excessive usage of Home Loads like Television, Air-Cooler etc. Proposed herein is a design and practically implementation of a smart autonomous power and switch controlled street light system by using stored solar energy during peak hours and light dependent resistor based energy efficient automatic Streetlight switching rather than the conventional switching operations. Besides temperature sensor and Real time clock (RTC) are being attached to display the updated time and temperature to the nearby passengers of the vehicles and walkers of the street sides. Thus, proper implementation of the proposed system will be able to be a medium for an energy efficient circuit, national grid’s power scarcity minimizer and free cost of energy and high reliability.

Due to the inferior quality of image capturing devices and acute environmental condition, digital images may suffer from poor contrast. Several histogram equalizing methods have been proposed to enhance these images but most of them either create over enhancement with artifacts or cannot fulfill consumers’ desired contrast. However, due to having improper handling of the pixels, histogram equalization (HE) based techniques often fail. Hence, a new image enhancement approach has been introduced here named as Mode-Separate Histogram Equalization (MSHE) which finds a separation point using most frequent intensity of an image and afterwards HE is applied. In experiments qualitative and quantitative assessments exhibits that the performance of MSHE is better than other contrast enhancement with brightness preservation techniques.

Antimagic graph labeling is the allotment of positive numbers to the edges of a graph such that the sum of graph edge labels incident to each node varies. The paper emphasizes on strong antimagic graph labeling for splitting graph and shadow graph of cycle. Modified theorems and their proofs on splitting and shadow graphs of cycle have been presented. The validity of the theorems has been illustrated through numerous examples.
