Characterization of optically-controlled terahertz modulation based on a hybrid device of perovskite and silicon 基于钙钛矿和硅混合器件的光控太赫兹调制特性

Terahertz wave transmission could be optically controlled based on electron accumulation at the interface of a hybrid structure of Si and CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite. The modulation efficiency was enhanced by a factor of approximately 4 than those at bare Si under a low irradiance of 532-nm continuous laser (<0.5 W/cm2). Based on THz time-domain spectroscopy and Drude modeling, we characterized the optical and electronic properties of the hybrid device in terms of complex dielectric constant, complex conductivity, carrier density, and mobility.

Comparison of Yb:YAG single crystal fiber with larger aperture CPA pumped at 940 nm and 969 nm 940 nm和969 nm泵浦大孔径CPA的Yb:YAG单晶光纤比较

We compare the characteristics of a two-pass chirped pulse amplifier based on a Yb:YAG single crystal fiber and the performance of Yb:YAG rods with a larger aperture. As a pump source, high brightness laser diodes with a total power of up to 140 W at 940 nm and 100 W at 969 nm were used. The seed pulses emitted from the fiber laser were amplified up to ∼30W in a single crystal fiber and up to ∼50W in a larger diameter rod with unguided pump propagation, both of which are characterized by a beam quality M2 ∼ 1.1. The amplified pulses were compressed by a diffraction grating up to ∼ 600 fs with an efficiency of 80 %.

A method of fabricating silicon microsphere resonators feathered high quality factor whispering gallery modes of ∼ 0.8 × 106 is demonstrated. We fabricate the silicon microspheres from silica-cladding/silicon-core fiber based on the CO2 laser induced in-fiber capillary instability phenomenon.

A high sensitivity strain sensor based on a selective-filling photonic crystal fiebr (SF-PCF) Sagnac interferometer was demonstrated. The SF-PCF was achieved by infiltrating a high index liquid into two symmetrical air holes of the innermost layer. Numetrical results revealed an ultrahigh even theoretically infinite strian sensitivity. A high strain sensitivity with 25 pm/με was experimentally achieved.

Compact open-path detection of N2O gas with low concentration of ppb level based on QCL 基于QCL的低浓度ppb级N2O气体紧凑开路检测

We measured nitrous oxide (N2O) gas at concentrations as low as 2ppb using a multi-pass gas cell (MPGC) with an path length of 10m. The quantum cascade laser (QCL) was spectrally scanned in the range of 4529.4nm–4531nm having the strongest linear absorption cross-section of 3.6710−18 cm2, where the spectral absorption region of CO and CO2 is avoided. The absorption levels at spectral lines of 4529.80nm and 4530.22nm were measured to demonstrate a relation with variation of concentration of N2O. This strategy could be used in low power of laser with a limit of power detector because we are using linear absorption phenomena.

We experimentally demonstrate a fiberized saturable absorber using a cladding-etched optical fiber as a platform. A wet etching technique based on a mixed solution of NH4F and (NH4)2SO4, which is not toxic, is used. Using a graphene oxide (GO)-deposited cladding-etched fiber into an erbium fiber ring cavity, it is shown that femtosecond pulses can readily be produced.

Non-invasive blood glucose measurement scheme based on near-infrared spectroscopy 基于近红外光谱的无创血糖测量方案

Diabetes is a kind of common chronic diseases, seriously harmful to human health. Determination of blood glucose levels is the key link in diabetes care. The traditional measurement method firstly collects blood drops, and then uses the blood analyzer for electrochemical analysis. The traditional method is inconvenient, algesiogenic and easily cause infection. With the development of chemometric methods, infrared spectroscopy has been widely used in the field of blood glucose measurement and medicine care. The non-invasive blood glucose measurement scheme based on near-infrared spectroscopy is a way which is more efficiently, without damage and chemical reagents. In this paper, we proposed a non-invasive blood glucose detection and analysis the scheme based on near-infrared spectroscopy. In order to avoid the influence of the environment during the measuring process and considering the individual differences, we use the wave acquisition system to collect human pulse wave, and reduce the noise of the pulse wave signal first. By comparing the actual measured data with the data obtained in the traditional way, we can establish models to predict the blood glucose levels and achieve non-invasive blood glucose measurement using spectrum analysis technology. In the end, we improve the models by analyzing the relationship between individual factors and the pulse wave signal. The experimental results show that the method can effectively determine the blood glucose levels, and it is more convenient, safer and healthier than the traditional method, which can effectively reduce the time cost and the money cost.

We report a 50-W average power Yb-doped fiber laser amplifier system. The laser system produces bursts at a minimum rate of 200 kHz, with 1.6 GHz intra-burst repetition rate. The total energy delivers in a burst is 250 μJ and the individual pulse energy is about 0.4 μJ. The output pulses are compressed to 270 fs by using two compressor gratings.

We have demonstrated an approach to prepare ultrasensitive surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate via depositing Ag over silica (SiO2) nanospheres array template by magnetron sputtering. The nanospheres self-assembled on slightly-tilted silicon (Si) substrate with low-temperature thermal treatment. Large-area uniform Ag nanoclusters array was obtained with 40nm Ag covered the nanospheres (360nm in diameter). The concept of location-based equalization for indoor visible light communications 基于位置的室内可见光通信均衡的概念

In this paper, we propose a novel concept of the location-based equalization scheme for indoor visible light communication (VLC) systems. For the first time, indoor VLC can become an indoor visible light positioning based service. Numerical results prove that the proposed scheme is a simple and effective solution to counteract the inter-symbol interference induced by the indoor VLC dispersive channel. For example, for a 100 Mbps transmission link, the proportion of the indoor area with a bit error rate of less than 10−6 can be increased from around 70.4% to 92.3% by adopting the proposed scheme.
本文提出了一种基于位置的室内可见光通信(VLC)均衡方案。室内VLC首次成为基于室内可见光定位的服务。数值结果表明,该方案是一种简单有效的解决室内VLC色散信道码间干扰的方法。例如,对于100mbps的传输链路,采用该方案可以将误码率小于10−6的室内面积比例从70.4%左右提高到92.3%。
